REDDIX
Mrs. Ora Mae "Wells" Reddix, 87, of Three Rivers, Miss., departed this life Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at Singing River Hospital, Pascagoula, Miss. She was born icon August 9, 1915 to the union of Paul and Minnie Wells.
Ms. Reddix was a lifelong resident of the Three Rivers community and a faithful member of Davis Chapel United Methodist Church and member of the church until her illness. She was a business woman, a Head Start cook, a baby-sitter, and she served as Ancient Matron of Heroines of Jericho Three Sisters Court No. 165. She was known as "Mama Ora, " to everyone who knew and loved her.
Ms. Reddix was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Powe; two brothers, Earl and Ben Wells; and one sister, Bertha Benton.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three sons, Alton (Wilie Mae) Wells, Chicago, Ill., Clarence (Doris) Reddix, Three Rivers, Miss., Wesley (Barbara) Deflanders, Three Rivers, Miss.; two sisters, Bernice Burke, Chicago, Ill., Myrtle (Molton) Hurry, Pensacola, Fla.; two adopted sons, Ricky Reddix and James Bettis, Three Rivers, Miss.; a devoted son-in-law, Wilbert Powe, Pascagoula, Miss., and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives and friends.
She will lie in state Tuesday, August 5, 2003 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Davis Chapel United Methodist Church, Three Rivers, Miss. The funeral will begin promptly at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2003 from the church with Rev. Willie Hill Jr. officiating.
Interment will be at Davis Chapel cemetery, Three Rivers, Miss. Service of love rendered by Millender's Funeral Home, Moss Point, Miss.

VAUGHAN
Annie Melva King Vaughan, 85, of Moss Point, Miss., died Aug. 1, 2003, at her residence. She was born icon March 5, 1918, in Mobile, Ala. Mrs. Vaughan was employed with International Paper Company for 20 years. She was a charter member of Kreole United Methodist Church, a graduate of Moss Point High School and a member of Eastern Star Anna O'Neill Chapter #37.
Mrs. Vaughan was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Annie Lezette King; brother, J.E. King; and sister-in-law, Lois King.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 59 years, Andrew Vaughan of Moss Point; son and daughters, Wayne (Carolyn) Vaughan of St. Petersburg, Fla., Winette (Paul) Thornton of Moss Point, Mavis (Donis) Pierce of Wade, and Celeste (Mike) Jones of Wade; brothers and sisters, Irving (Elizabeth) King, Ila (Alfred) Herndon, Benis (Bettye) King, Janiece (Francis) Scott, and Roy (Jimmie Lou) King; grandchildren, Timothy Vaughan, Cheryl Vaughan, Robin (Daryl) Depperschmidt, Erin (Robbie) Taylor, Matt (Keri) Thornton, Darren (Christy) Pierce, Justin (Jessica) Pierce, Julie Pierce, Kevin (Emmie) Jones, and Travis Jones; great-grandchildren, Drew and Sarah Depperschmidt, Morgan and Gracie Taylor, Jasmine Pierce, Tyler Thornton and Gavin Stringfellow; and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Kreole United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Tucker, the Rev. Roy Barlow and the Rev. David Cumbest officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service time.
Interment will be at Orange Grove cemetery in Moss Point.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Darren Pierce, Justin Pierce, Matt Thornton, Kevin Jones, Travis Jones, Daryl Depperschmidt, Robbie Taylor and Timothy Vaughan.

FULLILOVE
Amy Mercer Fullilove, 92, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Thursday, July 31, 2003, in Gautier, Miss. She was born icon August 5, 1910, in Marion County, Indiana and has been a resident of Pascagoula since 1941. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula, where she was active in the United Methodist Women and Christian Women's Club. She was an active member of P.T.A. and Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tom Fullilove; parents, Horace Virgil Mercer and Sarah Jane Mercer; two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, T.C. Fullilove, Pascagoula; granddaughter and her husband, Robin Graham (Denny), Gautier; three great-grandchildren, NiAnna Elise Graham, Nicolas Claiborne Graham and Nathan Blakeney Graham, all of Gautier; daughter-in-law, Donna Fullilove, Gautier.
Visitation was Friday, August. 1, 6 to 8 p.m., at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula.
Funeral service will be Saturday, August 2, 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula with the Rev. Gary Knight officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be at Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula.
Memorials may be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 371, Pascagoula, Miss. 39568-0371.

SMITH
Margaret Rutledge Smith passed away peacefully on Sunday July 27, 2003. She was born icon in Birmingham, Ala., on March 8, 1928, and lived most of her life in Pascagoula, Miss., where she was employed for more than 30 years at the Ingalls Shipyard. Margaret's greatest loves were her husband, children and grandchildren, quiet times on the Gulf Coast's beaches with her family, her collection of music, and her various dachshunds. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Cooper Smith; and her son, Eric Jack Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Kerrie; son-in-law, J. Edgar Moser III, and granddaughters, Ashley and deLancey of Highland Park, Ill.; daughter, Debora D'Angelo; and grandsons, Ian, Nathan and Michael of Gulfport, Miss.; and daughter, Melanie; son-in-law, Tony Lewis; and grandchildren, Jack Cooper and Lily Kate of Baker, Fla.
Special thanks from the family go to the staff at Emerald Pointe Nursing Home in Niceville, Fla. and the staff at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home.

BARNES
Joyce L. Barnes, 68, of Moss Point, Miss., died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at her home in Moss Point. Joyce was born icon Sept. 16, 1934, in Beaufort, N.C. She was a member of Community of Christ Church in Escatawpa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Barnes; parents, Leon and Viola Merrill; and two brothers, Clem and Richard Merrill.
Survivors include one sister, Evelyn (Carey) Nelson, Moss Point; brother-in-law, Leroy (Kate) Barnes, Tenn.; four sisters-in-law, Ivon Parker, Wanda (Donald) Hamm, Wilda (Howard) Ware, all of Escatawpa, Marge (Bill) Miller of Wash.; two aunts, Betty Lou Merrill and Mae Merrill, both of Beaufort, N.C.; and loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the funeral home chapel. Elder Donald Hamm will officiate.
Burial will be at Community of Christ Church cemetery in Escatawpa.
Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, Miss. is in charge of arrangements.

MCCULLOUGH
On Saturday, July 26, 2003, Teresa McCullough took her master's hand to fly away to glory. Teresa was born icon June 12, 1977, to Mr. John and Eva Riley.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Marvin McCullough Sr.; daughter, Dieliah McCullough; son, Marvin McCullough Jr.; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy and Eva Simons, San Diego, Calif.; godson, Anthony Williams; five brothers, Dennis Payton (Cathalena), Miami, Fla., Donald Payton, Charles Riley, James Riley, DeShawn Taylor, all of Gulfport, Miss.; five sisters, Gloria Morgan, Lisa Rose, Laura Taylor of Gulfport, Miss., Chanel Dixon (Eddie) of Pensacola, Fla., and Beatrice Riley of Newton, Miss.; five uncles, Lonzel, Robert Earl, Charles, Tommy and Andrew; six aunts, Bobbie-Jean Riley, Bobbie-Jean Bolton, Georgia, Shirley-Jean, Emma and Lessie-Mae Payton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ in Gulfport, Miss. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Gulfport.

PAYTON
Ms. Karren Lynette "Nette" Payton was born icon Oct. 16, 1956, to F.A. and Ida Ree Payton of Moss Point. Karren was a child care giver for the past 10 years. She departed this life July 27, 2003, at Singing River Rehabilitation Center.
Karren was preceded in death by her father, F.A. Payton; her aunt Wilena Payne; and uncle, Willie (Bill) Mosely.
She leaves to cherish her memories to two children, Charles Kenyatta Payton and Toccka Tanisha Johnson; mother, Ida Ree Payton; five brothers, Edsel (Zella) Payton of Atlanta, Ga., Jerry (Susie) Payton, Lovin Payton, Tyrone (Tina) Payton, Charles (Shatonya) Payton all of Moss Point; one sister, Wanda Carter of Pascagoula; three god brothers, Donald James, Bobby Joe Mabens of Moss Point and Leon "Puncho" Toolson of Atlanta, Ga.; grandparents, Carrie Lee Mosley of Moss Point, Inez Taylor of Pascagoula; devoted friends, Barber Booker and long term very devoted friend, Cornell Holloway both of Moss Point; three grandchildren, Steven, Aaliyah and Dontavious Marion, all of Moss Point; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing will be from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, at Christian Love Church of The Living God on Chillis Street in Moss Point.
The funeral will begin promptly at 3 p.m. at the church with Overseer D.A. Graham officiating.
Interment will be held in Scranton cemetery in Pascagoula, Miss.

PETO
Mrs. Helen Kathryn Peto, age 89, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died on Monday, July 28, 2003, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Peto was a native of Sandusky, Ohio, and had been a coast resident for the past 30 years. She was a member of Gautier United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Otta Bond Circle. Mrs. Peto was a member of the Ocean Springs Art Association and the Walter Inglis Anderson Museum of Art. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Joseph Peto.
She is survived by a daughter, Juleann Elizabeth Zurn and husband, Robert, of East Springfield, Pa.; a son, Louis Ryan Peto and wife, Nadine, of Ocean Springs; a brother, Joseph Faber of Sandusky, Ohio; four grandchildren, Linda Richard, David Peto, Robert Zurn II and Beth Ann Blum; and 12 great-grandchildren.
On Saturday, Aug. 2, there will be a 1 p.m. memorial service at the First United Methodist Church of Gautier. Memorials can be made to one's favorite charity.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

WADIAK
Teresa "Tess" Wadiak, 53, and her husband of 25 years, E. James "Jim" Wadiak, 55, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2003, while vacationing in Kauai, Hawaii.
Tess and Jim are survived by their two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and David Murray and their children, Madison and Carson, of Tampa, Fla., and Jennifer and Derek Galatro and their children, Alex, Josh and Abby, of Fredericksburg, Va., Tess's mother Estelle Mayo and brother, Jack Mayo, both of Preston, Miss. Tess was preceded in death by her father, William Mayo.
They are also survived by Jim's parents, Sunnee and Ed Wadiak of Toms River, N.J.; two brothers, Richard Wadiak of Lincoln University, Pa., and Mark Wadiak of South Brunswick, N.J.; and six nephews.
Tess was a 1967 graduate of Pascagoula High School. She was also a graduate of George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, Tenn. and the University of Virginia, where she received her Masters of Education. Tess was a special education teacher with Fairfax County Public Schools.
Jim was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. and the University of Virginia, where he received his Doctorate in Astrophysics. Jim was the Chief Operating Officer of Transmitter Location Systems in Chantilly, Va.
Although Tess and Jim touched the lives of so many people and will be missed by all, family and friends can take comfort in knowing that they loved one another and enjoyed life to the fullest. They leave behind many wonderful memories that can be treasured by all.

BROWN
Faye M. Brown, 61, a native of Fruitvale, Tenn., and a resident of Gulfport, Miss., died July 25, 2003, in Biloxi. She was a member of Riley Chapel United Methodist Church in Gulfport where she was a member of the choir. She was a graduate of Stigall High School in Humboldt, Tenn. She was employed at America's Thrift Store in Gulfport and previous employment included NACO in Gautier and Singing River Financial Services.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert K. Brown; her father, T.J. Mullins; and one brother, Jerry W. Mullins.
Mrs. Brown's survivors include her mother, Ruby Moore of Humboldt, Tenn.; two daughters, Gerri S. (George) Williams of Fort Stewart, Ga., Chere Carroll Brown-Hasty of Gautier; three sisters, Gertie M. Mullins of Memphis, Tenn., Willie M. Cameron of Shreveport, La., Gloria D. (Raymond) Millender of Pascagoula; two brothers, Dennis (Yvonne) Mullins of Saginaw, Mich., and Marvin (Maggie) Mullins of Indianapolis, Ind.; two grandchildren, Trent Austin Brown of Gautier and Christian Thomas Williams of Fort Stewart, Ga.; very devoted fiancee, Robert Charles Smith; and many relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
Interment will be at Biloxi National cemetery at 1 p.m.
Arrangements will be made by Lockett, Williams, Hayes Mortuary in Gulfport, Miss.
