LEWIS
Dowey Leon Lewis, 69, of Escatawpa, Miss., died July 14, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon Sept. 28, 1933, in Laurel, Miss. Mr. Lewis retired from International Paper Company where he worked as a shift leader in the boiler room. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He attended Canaan Assembly of God Church. Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, Reece and Gladys Lewis, and wife, Voncille Lewis.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Kenny and Cheryl Lewis; and a daughter and son in law, Rhonda and Rev. Rodney Coleman, all of Helena, Miss.; seven grandchildren, Shanna Jenkins, Derek Jenkins, Jeremy Lewis, Kayla Lewis, Brandon Coleman, Lindsey Coleman and Darian Bryson; one great-grandchild, Taylor Jenkins; brothers, Teddy Lewis and Otho Lewis, both of Laurel; sister; Oleda Williams of Laurel; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Canaan Assembly of God Church in Escatawpa, Miss.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Canaan Assembly of God Church with the Rev. James F. Coleman, the Rev. Gene Enswiler, the Rev. Bobby Lewis and the Rev. Brian Crane officiating.
The family prefers donations be made to the Canaan Assembly of God Church Mission Fund.
Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Mowdy, A.J. Smith, Harold Stevison, James "Mac" Vice, Darrell Smith and Roy Crane. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Lee, Joe Rockwell, Houston Hyatt, Thomas Butler, Hop Moorman, Melvin Holder, Kenneth Bell and Tony Henderson.

BALL
Mrs. Lois Ilene Ball, 31, of Agricola, Miss., died Dec. 26, 2003, in Lucedale, Miss. She was born icon Nov. 30, 1972, in Jackson County, Miss. Mrs. Ball was a member of Eastside Assembly of God. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Edward O'Neal Ball; daughter, Tiffany Marie Ball; sons, Edward Steven Ball and Johnathan Taylor Ball, all of Agricola, Miss.; father, Chester Ivan Martin of Escatawpa; mother, Doris Martin of Theodore, Ala.; brothers, Carlton Martin of Escatawpa and Samuel Ivan Martin of Frank Creek; sister, Cindy Graham of Theodore, Ala.; and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula with the Rev. Wendell Stork officiating.

FRENCH
Josephine Brogan French, 95, of Hattiesburg, Miss., died Dec. 28, 2003, at Windham House, after a lengthy illness. born icon in Paulding, Mrs. French was a longtime resident of Hattiesburg, where she was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ira French; two sons, John Ira French Jr. and C. P. (Lummy) French; and a daughter, Mary Blackburn.
Survivors include three daughters, Marguerite Holder of Gulfport, Nellie Steelman of Purvis, and Patricia Brewer of Hattiesburg; two sons, James Leo French of Moss Point, and C.V. (Pete) French of Hattiesburg; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 29, from 5 to 8 p.m., with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hattiesburg.
Interment will be in Highland cemetery, Hattiesburg.

JONES
Robert Lee Jones was born icon on Nov. 6, 1929, in New Or-leans, La. He moved to Moss Point at an early age to live with his grandmother, Olivia Jones, and attended school there.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged, he resided in New Orleans for several years, and then returned to Moss Point, where he united with Olivet Baptist Church.
Mr. Jones retired from In-galls Shipbuilding were he worked as an outside machinist.
For the past three years, he resided at Singing River Rehabilitation Center. He passed away on Dec. 22, 2003, at Singing River Hospital.
His grandmother, Olivia Jones, father and stepmother, Robert and Josephine Jones of Gulfport, brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Agnes Jones of Moss Point, and brother-in-law, Melvin Dott of Moss Point, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ollie and Booker T. Harris of New Orleans, La.; four sisters, Lucille Dott of Moss Point, Belvelyn (George) Ray of Ocean Springs, Janice (Michael) Moore of Atlanta, Ga., and Sylvia Jones of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Charles (Ida) Jones of Gary, Ind. and Herman (Dawatha) Jones of Atlanta, Ga., an aunt, Doris Tate of Moss Point; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Olivet Baptist Church on Frederick Street in Moss Point. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the VA cemetery in Biloxi.
All arrangements entrusted to Millender's Funeral Home, Moss Point, Miss.

MCWHORTER
Mrs. Tammy Darlene Mc-Whorter, 38, of Gautier, Miss., died Dec. 27, 2003, in Pascagoula, Miss. She was born icon Aug. 20, 1965, in Pascagoula, Miss. Mrs. McWhorter was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Quick.
Survivors include her husband, Eric McWhorter; sons, Jonathan McWhorter and Jeremy McWhorter; all of Gautier, Miss.; sisters, Teresa Bosarge of Bay St. Louis, Miss., Cynthia Young of Moss Point, Miss., Patience Cole and Becky Newman, both of Gautier, Miss.; brother, Adam Quick of Lucedale, Miss.; mother and stepfather, Ouida (Wyatt) Davis of Gautier; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Holder-Wells Funeral in Moss Point, Miss.
Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. from the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula, Miss.

PAGE
James Michael "Mike" Page, 62, of Gautier, Miss., died Dec. 28, 2003, in Gautier. He was born icon Jan. 2, 1941, in Hattiesburg, Miss. Michael worked for Quaker Oats Pet Food and Alpo Foods of Pascagoula. He had also worked for Cooper Tires in Pascagoula, and with Tyrrell's Pet Co. in Seattle, Wash. He became disabled in 1992. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Minnie Page; and by numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Margaret Campbell Page of Gautier; son, John Page of Germantown, N.Y.; granddaughter, Ashley Page of New York; sisters, Sally Meyers of Prentiss, Miss., Betty Bond of Petal, Miss. and Mary Mitchell of Collins, Miss.; brothers, Billy Joe Page of Petal, Miss., David Page of Mt. Olive, Miss.; and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Gravesite services will follow the visitation at 11:30 a.m. in Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula.

TIDWELL
Mrs. Mamie V. Tidwell, 93 of Moss Point, Miss., died Dec. 26, 2003, at her residence. She was born icon Jan. 2, 1910, in New Albany, Miss. Mrs. Tidwell was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Jane Davis.

WALLEY
Mrs. Willie Belle Stinson Walley, 91, of Escatawpa, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, in Escatawpa. She was born icon Jan. 20, 1912, in Richton, Miss. Mrs. Walley was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Pascagoula. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. Lee and Mrs. Elizabeth Stinson, her husband, Mr. Andrew Athen Walley; two sons, Jesse Lee Walley and Jerry Lynn Walley; two sisters, Gertrude Gardner, Ruth Carter; and a brother, Lewis Stinson.
Mrs. Walley is survived by two daughters and a son-inlaw, Bertha Rae Lawson of Escatawpa, and Carolyn and Ronald Landrum of Helena; four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Glenn, Sr. and Mildred Walley of Escatawpa, Billy Wayne and Chris Walley of Mobile, Ala., Benny Dale and Jo Ellen Walley of Texas, and Donald Athen and Wanda Walley of Chattanooga, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, Brenda Joyce Walley of Helena; two brothers, Ralph Stinson of Purvis and Wayne Stinson of Vancleave; six sisters, Mae Patrick of Escatawpa, Ruby Odom of Escatawpa, Emma Bozied of Ocean Springs, Mary Ma-rigliano of Gulfport, Dorothy Jay and Mary Clark, both of Vancleave; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joe Spence and the Rev. Steve Young officiating.
Interment will follow in Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula.

CLARDY
William LeGene "Gene" Clardy Sr., 67, of Gautier, Miss., passed away on Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at his home after a lengthy illness. born icon Oct. 7, 1936, in Charleston, Miss. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Clardy was a resident of Jackson County since 1958 where he was a self-employed home builder. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and professional baseball. He coached numerous Little League baseball teams in Orange Grove, Miss., and Moss Point, Miss.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Jones; his father, Joseph William Clardy, and mother, Lela Mae Detwiler Clardy.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann Cherry Clardy, Gautier; three sons and four daughters, Dwight (Cathy) Clardy of Memphis, Tenn., Gene (Ava) Clardy of Pascagoula, Miss., Tim (JoAnn) Clardy of Moss Point, Donna (Ray) Carpenter of Kingsland, Ga., Ann Strange of Pascagoula, Amy (William) Rodgers of Pascagoula and Cindy Huggins of Newport News, Va.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Parkway Baptist Church on Jefferson Street, Pascagoula.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Heart Association, 2320-110 14th St., Gulfport, MS 39501 or Diabetes Foundation, 16 Northtown Drive, Suite 100, Jackson, MS 39211-3058.

DUCKER
Mrs. Mildred Barlow Ducker, 94, of Gautier, Miss., died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, in Gautier. She was born icon Aug. 13, 1909, in Franklin County, Miss. Mrs. Ducker had resided in Gautier for the past 15 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Gautier. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Ducker; her sister, Aileen B. Perritt, and three brothers, Edwin Barlow, Glenn Barlow and Ralph Barlow.
Survivors include her nephews, Gerald and Judy Barlow of Gautier, James Glenn Barlow of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Jonathan F. Barlow of Jackson, Miss.; three great nephews, John and Kristi Barlow of Gautier, Jason Barlow of South East Asia, Richard Jr. and Georgia Harris of Ocean Springs, Miss., and two great nieces, Jenny and Jim Moore of Simpsonville, S.C. and Renee and Rob Walden of Ocean Springs.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, from Midway cemetery in Bude, Miss. with Dr. Billy R. Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Education Fund of First Baptist Church of Gautier, P.O. Box 37, Gautier, MS 39553.

WHATLEY
Donna "Frankie" Kaye Whatley, 51, of Biloxi, Miss., formerly of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, surrounded by her loved ones. She was employed at Winn-Dixie of D'Iberville as deli manager, and was of the Catholic faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Francis Ross and James Eaton, and father-in-law Dwight Whatley.
Ms. Whatley is survived and greatly missed by her two loving daughters, Carla (Jeff) Burtt and Laura (David) Bardwell; two granddaughters, Monica and Heather Bardwell; three grandsons, Jamie and Bryan Treece and Benjamin Bardwell, two step-grandsons, Brandon and Jared Burtt; brother Leslie Eaton; sister Mary Rice; aunt Elizabeth McGuffie; sister-in-"love or spirit" Sandra (John) Taylor; very special friends, Candace and Kelly Bergin; mother-in-law Ula Whatley; sister-in-law Lorraine (Ray) Vaughan; former husband Lawrence (Debbie) Whatley; former son-in-law Enos Treece, and three special nieces, Tina (William) Denton, Amanda (Bruce) Bardwell and Kacie Hovell.
Ms. Whatley was a very loving, caring, heart-felt person who never met a stranger and never made and enemy. She will be extremely misses and is loved dearly by many friends, co-workers, family and loved ones.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home
Interment will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, Miss.
Pallbearers are John Taylor, Ray Vaughan, William Denton, Bruce Bardwell, Robby Harrison and Enos Treece.
