FRIERSON
Mr. David Wayne Frierson, 24, of Grand Bay, Ala., died Friday, July 9, 2004, in Moss Point, Miss. He was born
Nov. 30, 1979, in Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. Frierson worked as a warehouse manager for Baber's Leasing of Pascagoula.
Survivors include his wife, Tia Antoinette Frierson of Grand Bay, Ala.; son, Tyler Wayne Frierson of Grand Bay, Ala.; father and stepmother, Gary Wayne and Patricia Frierson of Picayune, Miss.; mother, Sharon Easley Frierson of Grand Bay, Ala.; two sisters, Jeannie Frierson and Teri Frierson, both of Grand Bay, Ala.; nephew, Brandon Frierson of Grand Bay, Ala.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy and Richard Isham of Grand Bay, Ala.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 12, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Robert Spicer officiating.
Interment will follow in Orange Grove cemetery, Moss Point.

GANDRAU
Leona Rose Gandrau, a former teacher in Pascagoula, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Miss., at the age of 100. Mrs. Gandrau was born
June 5, 1904, to Eugene and Anna Rhian in Ponoka, Alberta, Canada. She earned her B.A. in Education at the age of 61, while working and attending night school at USM. She taught sixth-and seventh-grades at Lake Elementary School in Pascagoula, where she was named "Teacher of the Year" three times, before retiring at age 70.
Mrs. Gandrau was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Gandrau; five brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce G. Young of Tyler, Texas; son, George E. (Gene) Gandrau of Jackson; two sisters, Margaret Smith of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Anna Mae Driscoll of Stevensville, Md.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Wright & Ferguson, 350 High at North West St., Jackson, Miss., with funeral services following. Interment will be in River Hills Memorial cemetery, North Aurora, Ill. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 13.
SINGLETON
Ms. Debra Christine Singleton, 49, departed this life on July 7, 2004, in Three Rivers. She was born
in Moss Point, Miss., on Aug. 27, 1954. She resided in Atlanta, Ga., most of her adult life. In September 2002, she retired to Fairhope, Ala.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Singleton of Wade, Miss., and four siblings, Terriel and Donna Singleton of Paragould, Ark., Laura and Kenneth Headrick of Temple, Ga., Kathryn and Joe Ramsey of Kingston, Ga., and Mitchell Singleton of Houston, Texas. She leaves no children of her own but totally embraced her role as aunt to her two nieces, Kenley and Caitlyn Singleton of Paragould, Ark. She loved them dearly.
Ms. Singleton was a 1981 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, majoring in accounting with honors. Professionally she was employed as a CPA. She also earned her license to pilot single engine land aircraft in 1991. She is a Christian by profession of faith, believing that Jesus is the one and only Son of God.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa, Miss. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel of Jackson County Funeral Services with Bro. Bill Barton and Bro. Archie Holley officiating.

ELLIOTT
Hillary N. "Bill" Elliott, 74, of Helena, passed away at his home in Helena Aug. 9, 2004. Mr. Elliott was born
Feb. 26, 1930, in Lexington, Miss. He was preceded in death by an only child, Sharon Louise Elliott Bosarge; and parents, Hillary T. and Carolyn Elliott.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Catherine Elliott of Helena; two sisters, Evelyn Rhodes of Jackson, Miss. and Margaret Grace Wilson of Helena, Miss.; one granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Bosarge of Wade, and her adoptive parents Wayne and Ramona Havard of Wade, Miss.; other close nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, at Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday Aug. 12, 2004, at the Chapel of Jackson County Funeral Services in Escatawpa with the Rev. Jerry Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa.
The family of Mr. Elliott would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Light for their love and care.

Richard Fred "Dick" Meier, 83, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Saturday, March 13, 2004. Mr. Meier was an Army veteran of World War II and had been a member of the Pascagoula Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 419 for 64 years.
PARKS
Mr. J.B. Parks, 76, of Moss Point, Miss., died Saturday, March 13, 2004, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born
Nov. 1, 1927, in Newton County, Miss. Mr. Parks was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the World War II and Korean conflict. He retired after 37 years in the retail clothing business, having worked for the J.C. Penney Company. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Pascagoula.
SLADE
Mary E. Slade, 64, of Helena, Miss., died Friday, March 12, 2004, at her home in Moss Point. She was born
Oct. 26, 1939, in Purvis, Miss. She was previously employed as a cashier for Mabry's Grocery Store. Mrs. Slade was a member of Kreole Avenue Baptist Church.
WHITE
George "Allen" Albert-Dalmar White, 30, of Gautier, died Friday, March 12, 2004, in Pascagoula. Allen was born
Feb. 16, 1974, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was a pipefitter by trade, and a member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local No. 568 of Gulfport.
HALL
James Larry Hall, 48, of Moss Point, Miss., died Friday, March 12, 2004 in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born
in Crenshaw County, Ala., and had been a longtime resident of the Coast. Mr. Hall was an ordained minister and member of Martin Street Baptist Church in Pascagoula. He served over 16 years in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman. Mr. Hall provided well for all he loved.
MEIER
Richard Fred "Dick" Meier, 83, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Saturday, March 13, 2004. Mr. Meier was an Army Veteran of WWII and had been a member of the Pascagoula Masonic Lodge F&AM #419 for 64 years. Mr. Meier was an engineer having worked with the Los Angeles County Flood Control in California, the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT), and as a General Contractor in New Orleans, La.
GILBERT
Mr. Charles Gilbert, age 39, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Gilbert was a lifelong resident of St. Martin and graduated from St. Martin High School in 1983. He was self-employed and a welder by trade.
PERKINS
Mrs. Rosalind E. Perkins, age 91, died March 11, 2004, in Pascagoula, Miss. She was born
Sept. 7, 1912, in Riverside, New Jersey. Mrs. Perkins was a retired accountant and past president of Ladies Auxiliary Post 3020. Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer E. and Mary E. Shemeley and husbands, Raymond Schrieber and Edwin H. Perkins.

Mrs. Eran Hyde Channell, of Playa Delray Drive, Columbus, Ga., died Monday, March 8, 2004, at Columbus Hospice House. born
in Moss Point, Miss., on June 24, 1931, Mrs. Channell was a daughter of the late Charlie W. and Viola E. Robinson Hyde.

Mr. Roscoe Stallworth Sr., 76, of Moss Point, Miss., died March 6, 2004. He was born
May 7, 1927, in Natchez, Ala.
FOSTER
Mrs. Zelma VanOsdol Foster, 81, of Jackson, Miss., died Monday, March 8, 2004, at the Manhattan Health Care Center. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street and from 1 p.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, at the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Jackson. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery.

Michael Aaron Guthrie, 23, died at home on Sunday, March 7, 2004. He was a local student and was a native of Pascagoula, Miss., and a resident of Wilmer, Ala.

Mrs. Mildred Carolyn Husley, 71, a native of Hattiesburg Miss. and a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast died Friday, March 5, 2004, at her home in Ocean Springs, Miss.

Fulton Wiley Hinton, age 81, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Saturday, March 6, 2004. Mr. Hinton was born
Jan. 21, 1923, in Hintonville, Miss. He was a member of the Eastlawn Baptist Church in Pascagoula. Mr. Hinton spent most of his life as a barber having owned and operated a shop in front of International Paper Co. for nearly 42 years in Moss Point, Miss.

Ruby Jewel Young Denham passed away peacefully in Ocean Springs, Miss., on the afternoon of March 5, 2004, surrounded by family members.

Louise H. Johnson, 91, of Rockledge, Fla., passed away on Monday, March 1, 2004 at Wuesthoff Hospital. Mrs. Johnson had lived in Brevard County, Fla., since 1994. She was formerly from Gautier, Miss., and was a member of Rockledge Baptist Church.
