Claude Wills

Mr. Claude E. Wills, 88, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 10am – 11am at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison. A funeral service celebrating his life will follow visitation at 11am. Interment will be at a later date in Rosehill cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. Claude was born icon in Stewart, Mississippi on January 16, 1922 to Thomas and Ruby Wills. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. Mr. Wills is survived by his wife, Margaret “Margie” Wills; brothers, Terry Wills, Winford Wills and Jack Wills; and sisters, Catherine Hunt and Frances Keathley. For information on the funeral services scheduled in Chicago, Illinois for Mr. Wills please contact Haben Funeral Home in Skokie, Illinois at (847) 673-6111. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cardiovascular Department at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

William N. Wilson, Jr.

10/27/2010

Mr. William “Bill” N. Wilson, Jr., 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be held Friday, October 29, 2010 from 5pm – 8pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison. A funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, October 28, 2010 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison with visitation held one hour prior. Interment will be in Natchez Trace Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Wilson is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Jennifer Wilson; sisters, Betty Wilson Lyle and husband John; Gina Gibbons and husband Jerry; and 4 granddaughters.

Marjorie Ann Trent

Marjorie A. Trent Madison Marjorie Ann Trent, 85, died November 8, 2010 at St. Dominic’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. Natchez Trace Funeral Home and Crematory is providing cremation services. A native of Illinois, Mrs. Trent is survived by her children; Martha Armitstead of Pearl, MS. and Rick Trent of Arlington, TX. along with 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Trent.

Doyle F. Lyon

On March 6, 2006 Doyle Franklin Lyon, 65, died after a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 10 am. with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison. Burial will be in Pontotoc, MS.

Mr. Lyon was born icon in Pontotoc, MS. He graduated from Pontotoc High School and later attended the University of Mississippi. He lived in Jackson most of his adult life. Doyle was the owner of B-Line Pest Control where his out going personality created a bond of friendship with his customers. In his leisure time, Doyle was a devoted fan of Ole Miss football and also enjoyed playing tennis with friends on a regular basis. Another of his hobbies included gardening and he took great pride in his tomatoes and impatiens. Mr. Lyon was a member of the Loyalty Foundation of the University of Mississippi. In recent months his Christian faith has been re-kindled through his relationship with his loving niece, Susan Rigby.

Mr. Lyon was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert L. Lyon and a sister, Maude Knox. Surviving Doyle are his sisters, Mary Rowland Lyon Bass and the late Kelly Bass, Grace Lyon Montgomery and husband Butch; brothers, Fred C. Lyon and wife, Bonnie, and Robert L. Lyon and wife, Betty. Mr. Lyon is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and their children.

Dale Bryan

3/9/2006

Mr. Dale Bryan, 68, died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Sonny Montgomery VA Hospital in Jackson with his wife and daughter at his side. Visitation is Saturday from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison with funeral services at 12:00pm. Interment will be at Natchez Trace Memorial Park cemetery in Madison. Natchez Trace Funeral Home of Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bryan was raised in Bastrop, Louisiana. He and his family resided in Longview Texas for 35 years before moving to Madison 9 years ago to watch his grandchildren grow up. He was a veteran of the US Navy and had served in Japan during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and an artist. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family. Mr. Bryan is preceded in death by his parents; Holmes C. and Thelma B. Bryan, and brothers Max Bryan and Billy Bryan.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation or Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland.

Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife of 47 years; Peggy Bryan of Madison, daughter Michelle Clark and her husband Jerry of Madison, 3 grandchildren; J.B. Clark, Josh Clark, and Jake Clark, and brothers; Adrian Bryan of Bastrop, La. And Travis Bryan of Monroe, La.

Mr. Robert L. Wheeler

3/25/2006

Robert L. "Bob" Wheeler, 87, died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Jackson. Visitation is 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Tuesday in Natchez Trace Memorial Park cemetery in Madison.

Mr. Wheeler was a native of Heidelberg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. Mr. Wheeler is preceded in death by his parents, William Lowry Wheeler and Willie Mae Buchanan Wheeler.

Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife Syble Fowler Wheeler of Clinton; son William F. "Bill" Wheeler; daughter Linda Wheeler Brawner and husband Kevin; grandchildren Brooke and Patrick Brawner and William Robert Wheeler.

Bob, better known as “Pox”, will always be remembered by watching Patrick and his buddies play baseball, selling trucks, playing golf and entertaining his family and friends with his charm and infectious smile. We know “Pox” is in heaven with the best seat at the park.

Mr. Rudolph K. Wright

3/29/2006

Mr. Rudolph K. “Rudy” Wright, 59, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Oxford Health & Rehabilitation, formerly Adventist Health Center, in Purvis. Visitation is Thursday from 5-7pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home of Madison and again Friday, 1 hour prior to the 11am chapel service. Interment is in Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery.

Rudy was a native of Jackson, MS. and had lived in the Hattiesburg area for 40 years. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hattiesburg. Rudy is preceded in death by his father; Rudolph Hays Wright and a brother in law; Larry Freeman.

Rudy is survived by his mother; Mrs. Betty Williams Wright of Purvis, two brothers; Orville Wright and his wife Jean of Houston, TX., and Andy Wright and his wife Alahna of Brandon, two sisters; Betty Ann Green and her husband Jim of Jacksonville, FL. and Polly Freeman of Purvis. A number of nieces and nephews also survive Mr. Wright.
