Dorothea M. Severson
Dorothea M. Severson, 95, passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Valley Health Care Center after a short illness. Dorothea moved to Billings from Lakeside three and one-half years ago and was a resident of Ginny Wanner's Personal Care Home.
She is survived by a son, Jon, of Billings; a daughter, Joan Williamson, of Everett, Wash.; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Michelotti, Sawyers, and Nordquist is in charge of arrangements and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Delilah Mae Robb
COWLEY, Wyo. - Delilah Mae Robb, 83, died at New Horizons Care Center, Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell, and one hour prior to services at the Cowley LDS Chapel. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, in the Cowley Chapel. Interment will be in the Cowley cemetery.

Eugene G. Gurney
RED LODGE - Eugene G. Gurney, 65, formerly of Billings, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Beartooth Hospital & Health Center.
In accordance with his wishes, his body has been donated to the WWAMI Medical Program at Montana State University in Bozeman. No services are planned. Olcott Funeral Chapel was in charge.

Douglas Lawrence Heine
Douglas Lawrence Heine, 48, died Sunday, Jan. 23. Born Jan. 17, 1952, in Billings, he was the son of Arthur Heine and Geraldine (Brower) Erickson. After attending Billings Senior High and DeVry Institute in Phoenix, Doug returned to Billings and married his high school sweetheart, Lisette Roos in 1971. They made their home in Billings and had two daughters of whom Doug was endlessly proud.
In 1983, he founded Business Data Systems and fulfilled a long-time dream of being an entrepreneur. The business gave him an opportunity to use his passion for business, tireless spirit, and his sense of vision, which often inspired those around him. He loved to discover new technologies and had an endless fascination with electronics and radios.
He had a passion for flying and loved sharing his knowledge, experience and time in his airplanes with fellow pilots. He loved to snowmobile, scuba dive, travel, and play with his grandchildren. He was involved with REACT and Minuteman Search and Rescue for many years.
Doug is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lisette of Billings; daughters, Jessica (Lee) Patterson of Minneapolis and Jill (Darren) Decker of Billings; his mother, Geri Erickson of Billings; sister, Charlein Disel of Bozeman; grandchildren, Samantha and Alexandra Decker of Billings; and countless friends and business colleagues.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist. Following the services, the family is hosting a gathering to celebrate Doug's life at Business Data Systems, #1 Swords Lane in Billings.

Shawn T. Inman
Shawn T. Inman, 26, passed away at Harms Hospital in American Falls, Idaho, due to a vehicle rollover on Jan. 24, 2000. Vigil services will be Thursday Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook. Mass will be recited there on Friday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. with burial following in Kuper Memorial cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Madison RaeLynn Inman Trust at Western Bank, P.0. Box 9, Chinook, MT 59523. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
Shawn was born on Sept. 13, 1973, to Thomas and Vicki (Reynolds) Inman of Havre. He attended schools in Chinook and graduated from heavy equipment operation school in Portland, Ore., with a superior rating in 1995. In the spring of 1996, he started working for the Harp Line Construction in Kalispell, and he has been traveling with the company to different job sites all over the Western United States.
Shawn loved snowmobiling, working on his older cars, golfing, and had plans on starting to ice fish. As a young boy, he loved to travel with Grandpa Bob and eat Snicker candy bars and drink Cokes with him. He always had a big smile and greeting for everyone His first love was his family and daughter and second was his job and work. Shawn married Gretchen Sevenon in Chinook on Jan. 24, 1998.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Gretchen of Billings; three-week old daughter, Madison Inman of Billings; father, Thomas Inman and his wife, Tawna Inman of Chinook; sisters, Tracie Inman, Katie Scott, Becky Scott all of Chinook; step-son, Tyler Brost of Cody, Wyo., with whom he loved playing basketball; grandparents, Robert and Nancy Inman and John and June Reynolds all of Chinook; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Vicki Inman in September 1996.

Pauline R. Ostermiller
Pauline R. Ostermiller, 82, of Billings, passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Vance and Lillie Hawkins, Pauline was born June 2, 1917, in Logansport, Ind. She came with her family to Montana in 1934. She met Sam Ostermiller on St. Patrick's Day, 1935. They were married Nov. 30, 1935.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Pauline was friendly and outgoing and had a special affinity with children. She loved being a housewife and mother. Pauline liked cats, collecting owls, and raising flowers, especially roses. She had served as an election judge at Garfield School for more than 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Sam, and three sons, Robert and his wife, Jeannie, Chuck, and Richard; and two grandsons, Justin and Tom, all of Billings; her brother, Jack Hawkins of Baltimore, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Helen Carl, and brother Paul Hawkins
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Mortuary with interment in Mountview cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Fern Allene Murdock
Fern Allene Murdock, 85, of Billings passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, in the Aspen View retirement home.
She was born Jan. 18, 1915, in Hardin, a daughter of Joseph and Frances Graham. She received her education in Jordan and Lodge Grass.
Allene married Ellis Murdock Jan. 17, 1936, in Sheridan, Wyo. The couple made their home in the Lodge Grass and Wyola area where they ranched before moving to Billings in 1969 after retirement. Allene was very proud of where she lived and worked very hard to make a good home. She loved her family very much and was an excellent role model. She always had time to listen and make each one of her family members feel special. If there was a problem she would help solve it.
Allene's recreation was being with her family. She also loved to ride and look at the country. She was fond of nature and her surroundings. She was also known for her quick whit and always liked a good joke. She liked to be teased and was quick to return it.
She was a member of the Baptist Church, a past worthy matron of the Hardin Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, AARP, Hardin Rebekah Lodge, and the Widowed Person Services.
Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis; a son, Wayne; a grandson, Billy; and a brother, Carroll.
Survivors include her three children, Charles A. Murdock of Kaycee, Wyo., Josephine Steinbach of San Jose, Calif., and Phyllis Brosz of Shepherd; her sister, Dorothy Middleton of Billings, as well as 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Internment will follow at 3 p.m. in the Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Janet Charlene Bartley
On Sunday, Aug. 11, 1957, at the Billings Deaconess Hospital, was born a beautiful baby girl to Kathryn (Davidson) Bartley and Charles W. Bartley. Janet Charlene Bartley was loved and cherished by her friends and family. The Lord took her home on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at the young age of 42 after suffering from a long, powerful, and difficult disease. Take her in your arms, Lord, and bring peace to her soul.
Janet received her education in grades K-12 in Glendive and graduated from Dawson County High School in 1975, where she received awards in forensics. She earned a bachelor's degree in human services from EMC (MSU-Billings). She enjoyed reading, music, TV, camping, hiking, arts, and crafts. She created many interesting collages and several attractive rugs. Cooking and baking were her expertise.
During her childhood, Janet spent the summers with her Grandmother Davidson on the farm near Ballantine. Her telephone calls, her sense of humor, wit, and laughter will be greatly missed and will live in our hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents, Jesse and Esther Davidson and Louis and Wadena Bartley.
She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Anderson and step-fathcr, Robert G. Anderson of Billings: her three uncles, Jack Davidson, David Bartley, Louis Bartley Jr., and their wives and families of Washington; her aunt, Alice Eaton of Kansas City, Mo., and her family; a step-sister, Paula Rausch (Doug) and family of Billings; step-brothers, Bob Anderson of Red Lodge and Terry Anderson (Anne) and family of Billings; and special friends, Darlene Sharpe, Dora Cassity, Gayle Busha, and Jim Wittman.
Life is incredible. This is a hurt like none other, Christ lives close to those who are broken hearted and will sustain them.
Many thanks for all the care she was given by the doctors, other professionals, the staff at St. Vincent Hospital, Big Sky Hospice, Parkview Care Center, to Darlene Sharpe and her daily vigil, and for the many prayers of friends.
Private services will be held and interment will be in the Pleasantview cemetery, Ballantine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107-5033. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.

Lena Fetzer
POWELL, Wyo. - Lena Fetzer, 91, died at the Powell Nursing Home on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill cemetery. Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge.

Sisto Archibeque
Sisto Archibeque, 92, of Billings, passed away Monday afternoon, Jan. 24, 2000, at Western Manor Care Center.
Sisto was born in Las Vegas, N.M., on Oct. 2, 1907, a son of Pablo and Luisa Archibeque. He grew up there and on Jan. 15, 1942, married Sarah Alcorta. In 1944, they moved to Portland, Ore., and then on to Billings in 1945.
Sisto worked as a laborer for the Northern Pacific Railroad until his retirement in the late 1950s. He later did custodial work for a number of years at the Northern Hotel and finally the Labor Temple. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Maria Louise Gonzalez and her husband, Pablo, and Rosie Lopez and friend, Tom Knaub, both of Billings; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and 17 brothers and sisters.
A Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, at the Smith Downtown Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with cremation to follow. Rite of Committal will be on Monday at Holy Cross cemetery.

Raymond S. McArthur
INMAN, S. C. - Raymond Steven McArthur, 68, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at his home.
A native of Big Timber, Mont., he was the son of the late William Wallace and Elva Fuhs McArthur. He was a graduate of Montana State College in Missoula, and was employed with the U.S. Forestry Service with over 35 years of service, retiring as a contract management specialist. He served in the U.S. Army and was of the Brethren Faith.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Horne McArthur of the home; one son, William Scott McArthur of Gulf Port, Miss.; two step-daughters, Joyce Ann Breeden of Staunton, Va. and Cynthia Knight of Campobello, S. C.; one sister, Dorothy Ann Hammersmark of Big Timber, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Special Needs, 120 Heywood Ave., Spratanburg, SC 29302; or to the Mill Creek Church of the Brethren, c/o Ruth Turner, Route 1, Box 136, Tryon, NC 28782.
The family will be at the home at 325 Fagan Drive.
J.K. Floyd Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald F. Rhyneer
A memorial service will be held for Donald F. Rhyneer at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Congregational Church in Absarokee. Don, who was 86, died Dec. 28, 1999, at St. John's Lutheran Home in Billings where he had lived for the past four years. Prior to moving to St. John's, Don had been a life-long resident of Absarokee.
Born Dec. 6, 1913, Don was one of three sons born to Samuel and Nellie Rhyneer. While attending school in Absarokee, Don worked for his father at the Stillwater Garage. Following the service, Don returned to Absarokee and management of the garage. On Sept. 2, 1949, Don married Susan Torian of Bee Hive, Mont. Together they owned a ranch west of Absarokee which is still in operation today. Don is survived by one daughter, Polly Rex, and a brother, Samuel Rhyneer.
In place of flowers, memorials are suggested to AFD Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 324, Absarokee, 59001, or Cobblestone Preservation Preservation Committee, P.O. Box 176, Absarokee, 59001.

Anna B. McBeth Armstrong
TUCSON, Ariz. - Anna Belle, formerly of Billings, died of natural causes Jan. 6, 2000, at her home in Tucson. Ann was born in Billings, Mont., on May 25, 1928, to Oscar and Bertha McBeth. She went to grade schools in Billings and graduated from Senior High in 1946. Ann worked in Calif. and Tucson as a bookkeeper until her retirement. Ann loved animals of all kinds and especially cats, of which she had many.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert, Wayne, Bruce and Wally. She is survived by her sister Marjorie (Jim) Meader of Billings; brothers, Keith (Wanda) of N. J. and Del of Calif.; sister-in-law Bette McBeth of Annandale, Va. and a very special friend Jim Hickey, and many nieces and nephews of whom she was very proud, also survive. Services were held in Tucson, Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Bring's Broadway Chapel.

Edith Johnson
Edith Johnson died at Evergreen Care Center in Billings on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Smith Downtown Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Any memorials may be sent to the Lockwood Evangelical Church or the charity of your choice.

Richard Peltier
SIDNEY - Richard Peltier died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at the Sidney Health Center.
Wake service will be at 7 p.m. MST, Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Fulkerson Memorial Chapel, Sidney. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., CST, Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Williston, N.D. Interment will be in the Trenton cemetery, Trenton, N.D.
