Dale Lucore
Dale Lucore, 51, of Eureka, died of natural causes Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Kalispell Regional Hospital.
He was born June 17, 1961, at Fullerton, Calif., to Frances C. Lucore III and Mary Sue (Sharpe).
He attended Earl Warren Elementary School in Garden Grove, Calif. He went to Meadow Brook School for sixth, seventh, and eighth grades and then Mount Carmel School for freshman and sophomore years both at Poway, Calif. He was at Gooding High School in Wendell, Idaho, until the junior year, then got his GED in November 1983.
He attended college in southern Idaho and Seattle, Wash., for a degree in graphic arts. He enjoyed his family, friends, cats and computer art. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps as a field radio operator until his honorable discharge in 1982. He was a long haul truck driver cross country for Lucore Trucking and MT Express.
He married
Anne K. Nelson June 14, 1985, and they were later divorced. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Lucore, and a sister, Susan Frances Lucore.
Survivors include his father, Francis C. Lucore III; a brother, Warren Terry Lucore and wife Joetta, all of El Paso, Texas; a sister, Kathleen Ann Herres and husband Robert of Eureka; brother Francis C. Lucore IV and wife Shannon of Tampa Bay, Fla.,; daughter Britini Catyln Lucore of Godrey, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services are being held.
Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Eureka.
Terry Liebe
Terry Lee Liebe of Eureka died April 18, 2012, peacefully in his sleep next to the love of his life.
He was born June 24, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Donald and Reba (Metcalf) Liebe. Terry was raised in Iowa and married
his beloved wife Rose Marie Oct. 5, 1958, before moving west permanently. They spent 53 wonderful years as husband and wife. Together they raised their five children: Timothy Lee; Kelly Renae; Rory Joseph; Lori Marie; and Audra Lee.
Terry logged for 17 years and then opened a log furniture store in Lewistown. He was a dedicated family man who always worked to support them and his hunting habit. He is known as a man who lived his life exactly the way he wanted. Terry loved the outdoors, as evidenced by his home decor as well as the time that he spent in the pursuit and enjoyment of the creatures God made.
He was preceded in death by his son Timothy Lee and granddaughter Lacey Renae. He is survived by his wife Rose Marie; daughter Kelly Renae; son Rory Joseph; daughter Lori Marie; and daughter Audra Lee; his eight grandchildren: Melisa Renae; Jesse Caine; Brooke Marie; Lindsey Marie; Justin Lee; Joseph Mark; Dallas Shane; and Jerad Allan; and five great grandchildren: Justin Thomas; Faith Ranae; Madison Dee; Riley Cole; and Jaxon Cain.
The family requests that remembrances be made to Terry’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, in his name.
Services were held Monday, April 23, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 935 9th St E, in Eureka.
Arrangements are under the direction of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Eureka.
Mary O. Kinney
Mary O. Kinney, 72, of Troy, died Feb. 2, 2001 at St. John Lutheran Hospital in Libby.
She was born in North Lincoln County at Gateway on March 14, 1928, to Merton M. Tiffany and Amanda Clemons Tiffany; she was raised and educated in the Eureka area. She married
Archie Kinney March 4, 1946, at Kalispell.
She and her husband came to Troy in 1964 where she had made her home for the past 39 years and also had been a seasonal resident of Juneau, Alaska, for three years.
Her husband Archie, preceded her in death in 1983; she was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a son, Archie Kinney, Jr. of Troy; six daughters: Rosemary Leach of Shelton, Wash., Mildred Alefteras of Rochester, Wash., June Powers of Forks, Wash., Betty Oberdorf of Fortine, Margaret Reicker of Northport, Wash., and Mattie Huntsman of Eureka; she is also survived by a special friend, Dallas Haaby of Troy; four sisters: Elsie Benda of Olympia, Wash., Laurie Reynolds of Eureka, Edna Grob of Rexford, and Edith Breitenstein of the Yaak; two brothers: Buster Tiffany of Baker, Ore., and Peanuts Tiffany of Eureka; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Sunday and Monday. Private interment will be at a later date.
Petra Joy (Strand) Siemens
Petra Joy (Strand) Siemens died Feb. 3, 2001.
She was born to Melvin F. and Grace E. Strand on June 19, 1932, in Kalispell.
She grew up on a ranch near Nashua, Mont., attended Northern Montana College in Havre, and graduated from the University of Georgia.
She married
Nicolai Siemens June 11, 1955. As an elementary teacher she taught in Georgia, Wyoming, Saudi Arabia, and Hong Kong. She is survived by her husband; two children, Monica Willey of Denver, Colo., and Larry Siemens of San Jose, Calif.; grandchildren Nicholas and Matthew Willey of Littleton, Colo.; three brothers, Robert of Labrador, Canada, Kenneth of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Palmer of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Phylis Smith of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Signe Aspinwall of Riverton, Wyo.; 21 nieces and nephews and nine in-laws.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Paul McKibben at the Fortine Community Church on Friday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.
Eileen E. Walsh
Eileen E. Walsh, 81, died Jan. 29, 2001, at Brendan House in Kalispell.
She was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Yakima, Wash., to Christian and Annie (Burkardt) Maier.
Memorial services were Feb. 1 with Pastor Glenn Burfeind of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of the donor's choosing.
Inez Mae Goddard
Inez Mae Goddard, 72, of Eureka, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at her daughter's home in Eureka after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 10, 1928, to Willis and Hattie Hayman Morrill in Bangor, Maine.
At age 7, both of her parents died and she was adopted by Gladys and Edward Tabor in Lewiston, Maine, where she attended school. She married
Robert James Dick, Jr. in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1970. Inez then married
Richard Goddard. She worked in shoe factories in Maine, and was a waitress until she retired.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her adopted parents; her adopted brother, Edward Curtis Tabor and his wife; and her brothers, Barney, Sparky, and Clyde Morrill.
Survivors include two sisters, Shirley and Phyllis; one daughter, Cheryl Parkman and her husband, David, of Eureka; four sons, Robert James Dick III of Note, Ore., Curtis Perry Dick, Thomas Edward Dick, Norman Michael Dick; four grandchildren, Michael Corey, Kyle Corey, Tamisha Vezina and her husband, Kevin, Farrah Hoyt and her husband, Eric; six great-grandchildren, Kevin, Natasha, Dustin, Joshua, Mackenzie and Ethan; nephews, Michael and Jeff, and a niece, Nancy.
Services will be Thursday, June 14, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Nelson and Vial Funeral Home in Eureka. Interment will be at the Tobacco Valley cemetery.
Gayle E. Eskildsen
Gayle A. Eskildsen, 76, of Lake Worth, Fla., died May 14, 2001, at his residence.
Born July 16, 1924, in Eureka to Walter and Margaret Sorensen Eskildsen, he married
Vivian E. Tuckey on Nov. 27, 1943, in Peoria, Ill. She died March 24, 1984, in Memphis, Tenn.
He also was preceded in death by one infant son, one daughter, two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are three sons, Arthur Gayle Jr. and Dale, both of Colorado, and Timothy of Blytheville, Ark.; three daughters, Janet Eskildsen of Bancroft, Ontario, Canada, Mary Tonning of Princeville Ill., and Elizabeth Gill of Lake Worth Fla.; one sister, Anita Gilmond of Eureka; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a lumberjack in Montana for many years and later was a tool and die maker for Shakeproof in Elgin Ill.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Private graveside services were held at Yates City cemetery in Yates City, Ill. The Rev. Rex Hendrix officiated.
Edna B. Grob
Edna B. Grob, 64, a life-time resident of the Tobacco Valley, died Jan. 22, 2002 at her home in Rexford.
She was born at Eureka on May 31, 1937, to Merton M. Tiffany and Mandy Clemons Tiffany. She was raised and educated in the Tobacco Valley.
She and her late husband Fred had owned and operated the Frontier Bar in Rexford for many years until their retirement. Her husband Fred preceded her in death in 1988. She had remained in Rexford until the time of her death.
Survivors include her son Rufus Grob of Rexford; three daughters, Marilyn Smith of Nelson, B.C.; Phoebe Baker of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Pearl Fowler of Kalispell; sisters Laurie Reynolds of Eureka; Elsie Benda of Olympia, Wash.; and Edith Breitenstein of Troy; two brothers, Elwood (Peanuts) Tiffany of Eureka; and Buster Tiffany in Baker City, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to your local chapter of Special Olympics.
Harvey L. Swenson
Harvey L. Swenson, 94, died Jan. 23, 2002, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
He was the 10th of 11 children born to Martin and Julian Peterson Swenson in El Paso, Wis., on Jan. 20, 1908. At age 7 he came west with his family to homestead at Turner, Mont.
He joined the National Guard in Helena in the early 1930s. On June 23, 1935, he married
Esther Stroklund in Helena. He moved to the Flathead and resided there until 1946 when they moved to Eureka. Esther died in November of 1950. Harvey married
Olive "Sis" St. Peter on Dec. 26, 1952. She died in February of 1980.
Harvey was manager of the Farmer's Union service station from 1946 to 1956. He then went to work at the Hurst mill in Fortine until the construction of the Flathead Tunnel. He worked at Drews Manufacturing in Trego during that era. He went back to Hurst Mill, which became Plum Creek, and retired from there at age 72.
He loved to fish and was an avid golfer and bowler. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and four sisters. He will be missed but the family is thankful for the long time they had him with them.
Survivors include three daughters, Norma Osler and Sandra Robideau of Eureka, Debra Youngberg of Belgrade, Mont., seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Jan. 25. Services were Jan. 26, 2002, at the First Baptist Church in Eureka. Memorials may be made to the Mountain View Manor Nursing Home in Eureka.
John E. Ward Sr
John E. Ward Sr., 83, died Wednesday June 12, 2002, at his home in Eureka from natural causes. Graveside services were June 15 at the Tobacco Valley cemetery.
Russell C. (Rusty) Greene
Russell C. (Rusty) Greene, 68, died Tuesday, June 4, at his home in Eureka. Services were June 8 at the Tobacco Valley cemetery.

James M. Finch, 41, died Wednesday, June 5, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Services were June 9 at the Tobacco Valley cemetery.
