Bunny Jackman
Bunny Lee Jackman, Heova'e'e (Yellow Haired Woman) passed on April 10, 2010 to her brother's (Brand L.) waiting hand and led her to the Lord's waiting arms. Sitting by the Lord's feet is her precious 'Squeakie'.
No longer in worry and pain free, her broken heart mended by the Lord's everlasting love, encircled by grandparents and family who all are anxiously waiting for each of us and everyone.
The Lord's abundance of love and forgiveness bestowed upon her by our Creator, Bunny Lee Jackman was born to William L. Jackman and Dorothy (Bigheadman) on June 19, 1966 in Wallace, ID.
Bunny was preceded in death by her brother Brand L. Jackman; grandparents Frank B. and Dessie (Standing Elk) Bigheadman, Porter L. Jackman and Erna (Schatz) Rosse; aunts Susie Yelloweyes and Laura Yelloweyes; cousin Shirla Flying and traditional grandparent Nora (Bigheadman) Flying and Sylvia Elkshoulder.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her daughter Gia Horn; fiancé Lee J. Wine of Portland, OR; brothers Loren. W. Jackman, adopted brother Cardell Washington, William 'Shorty' Jackman, George 'Butch' Stebbins; sisters Phoebe Jackman and adopted sister Lori Limberhand; special friend Daniel Stapleton; traditional grandparents standing in place of absence, Mary Ann and Joseph Still Smoking of Heart Butte, MT, Matt and Ernatine Two Moons of Busby, MT, and Francis and Wanda (Robinsons) Limpy of Lame Deer, MT; uncles Harvey Bigheadman of Lame Deer, MT, Clifford Bigheadman of Billings, MT, Oliver Flying of Busby, MT, Clifton Sooktis of Birney, MT, Perry Fighting Bear and Ronnie, Roy and Billy all of Birney, MT, Ike Washington Sr. of Birney, Joseph Bear, Benji and Frances Bahr of Ashland, Pete Thex of Ashland, George, Eugene, Lenard, Mark and Andy Elkshoulder, Andrew Yelloweyes, Erwin Bigheadman and Ernie Robinson; aunts Mary J. Ilona Michelle Foote
Ilona Michelle Foote 'Ma'etomona'e' (Red paint woman), age 29, of Lame Deer passed away on February 4, 2010 at Billings Clinic after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ilona was born December 9, 1980 in Sheridan, WY to Edward and Katherine Foote. She attended school at Colstrip Public Schools up to the 10th grade. She worked as a custodian at the Lame Deer Public Schools and also as a camp crew member for the Northern Cheyenne BIA Forestry Department.
Ilona was preceded in death by her father Edward Foote, Jr. on July 16, 2006.
She is survived by her children Courtney LaFranier, Alonzo Hanaweeke, Vinton Hanaweeke, Jr. and Bradon Hanaweeke; brothers Vyeron E. Foote and Sheldon K. Foote; sister Barbara Braided Hair; nephews Angelo Foote, Otto Braided Hair III; nieces Eddina Kathy Foote, Vanessa and Jessica Braided Hair; aunts Helen Yellow Robe; grandmothers Jennie Parker, Lucille Spear, Amy & Inez Foote and Nellie Speelman as well as many extended family members.

Dean Harris
Our loving son, brother, uncle and friend, Dean Harris 'Setovoh'ohmehe' was called home with his brother, Tyrel Fraser, on December 18, 2009. Dean was born June 4, 1987 to Yvonneda 'Henry' Thompson and Randall Harris in Billings Montana. Dean was a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe and was proud of his Cheyenne heritage. He spent his early years in Ashland and his formative years in Lame Deer and Kirby Montana. Dean graduated from Colstrip High School in May 2004 and was attending Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence Kansas where he was to receive his Bachelors Degree in 2010.
Dean loved his friends and family, especially his nephews and nieces, whom brought great joy to his life. He cherished the time spent with his families and looked forward to seeing, and visiting with them. Dean enjoyed his academic studies and often shared his recently gained knowledge and insights with his family and friends. He loved to tease and often played the 'devils advocate' for the sake of a good argument.
Dean was preceded in death by his infant sister, Carly; grandparents, Langburn and Imogene Fisher; grandmother, Marlene Anderson; his beloved aunt, Lodema Fisher;

Tyrel Fraser
Tyrel Jay Fraser (Buffalo Wallow- his Cheyenne name given to him by his grandfather Lee Lonebear), age 20, of Lame Deer, MT passed away tragically with one of his best buddies Dean Harris in a car accident on his birthday Friday, December 18, 2009.
Tyrel was born in Crow Agency on December 18, 1989. He was raised a majority of his life by his grandparents Clinton and Jackie Small on Pawnee Creek, where he will be laid to rest for all eternity. Tyrel was proud of his Northern Cheyenne heritage and Sioux ancestry.
Tyrel attended school at St. Labre and graduated from Lame Deer High School in 2008. He enjoyed playing basketball throughout his high school career. He was an avid horseman obtaining his skills from his mother and grandfather. He loved ranching and spending time with his family & friends and had a passion for music. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on the Tongue River where he grew up. Another of his favorite pastimes was attending basketball games with his dad and helping his little nephews shoot baskets at half-time.
He was always in good spirits and was a loving, respectful and kind-hearted man. The love of his life was his little daughter, Lalisieonna. He was always willing to give a hug and kiss to everyone, especially his grandma Jackie and Grandpa Clinton. Tyrel was a little over protective of his sisters and he was definitely his mothers boss. Tyrel will be in our hearts forever and his memories will live on.

Spenser John Benson
Spenser John Benson, 22, died Thursday night, December 10, 2009 in Colstrip, from a fatal gunshot wound. He was born June 4, 1987 in Billings, MT.
Spenser was a hard-working young man, who had a persevering spirit. In December 2008 he graduated from Northwest College in Powell, WY with a degree in Welding Technology. He used his metalworking skills to create beautiful original artworks in his spare time. Spenser had many loves, most of which involved the outdoors, excitement, and physical activity. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling, and even rode bulls in high school.
Spenser was a member of the BOILERMAKERS Local #11 and worked for NAES Power Contractors at Colstrip Generator Stations.
Spenser's greatest love however, was his 3-year-old son, Landyn. Spenser was the greatest dad. Spenser is also survived by his parents, Jeff & Debi Benson of Colstrip; his sister Amber Leigh Benson of Riverton, WY; his grandparents, Mary & Bill Jergler of West Middlesex, PA; and Belle Benson of Billings; and many Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. Spenser is preceded in death by his brother, Zachary Benson.

Dutch Oliver Milroy
Dutch Oliver Milroy was born at peace Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 29 weeks gestation due to a fatal condition called Limb Body Wall Complex, a congenital disorder characterized by severe limb defects and anterior body wall defects. Dutch weighed 2.5 lbs. and was 13 in. long.
Dutch Oliver is survived by his parents Tracy Milroy and Candy (Hawks) Milroy, Brockway, MT, paternal grandparents, DJ and Gloria Milroy, Billings, MT, maternal grandparents, Dale and Terry Hawks, Chester, MT, maternal great grandmothers, Evelyn Hawks, Chester, MT and Vivien Smith, Buda, TX, paternal aunt Melodie Milroy and children (Jordan Olson, Brooke and Daniel Morgan, John Olson, and Morgan Olson) Billings, MT, maternal adopted uncle Jason Roshau, Killdeer, ND, maternal extended family, Loren and Jennifer Hawks and children (Bradee, Peyton, and Sydney Hawks), Chester, MT, Neil Swartz and Angela Hawks-Swartz, Chester, MT and family (Kyle, Adrienne, and Logan Dillard, Salem, OR) and numerous other maternal and paternal great aunts, great uncles, cousins and special friends.

A service with immediate family and Rev. Joyce Kaplan was held at the Billings Clinic Chapel May 31, 2010 before Dutch's body was transported to the University of Washington to help understand the cause of Limb Body Wall Complex and other fatal abdominal wall cavity defects.

Eunice Scheid
Eunice Ann Scheid, age 52, of Miles City passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010 at the Holy Rosary Hospital.
Eunice Ann Rudshagen was born on June 20, 1957 to Orries and Corrine (Knudson) Rudshagen in Felton, Minnesota. The family moved to Columbus when she was in junior high and she graduated from Columbus High School in 1975. Eunice moved to Miles City that fall to enter the nursing program at Miles Community College. Eunice met her future husband Fred Scheid in the fall of 1976 while in school. She graduated in 1977 and went to work at the ICU at Holy Rosary Hospital. On September 30, 1978, Eunice and Fred were married at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Eunice worked at Holy Rosary until 1988 when she went to the VA Hospital where she continued to work until her passing.
Eunice and Fred were married almost 32 years and had a wonderful life and three beautiful children together. They were the center of her universe. Fred III was born January 31, 1983, Cori Lou was born August 23, 1985, and the baby Kimberle was born March 8, 1993.
Eunice is survived by her loving heartbroken husband Fred Scheid of the family home; three children: Fred Scheid III and his new bride Jimi Lou of Billings, MT; Cori Lou and her special friend Casey and Kimberle of the family home; her mother and father, Orries and Corrine Rudshagen of Columbus, MT; her brothers: Bruce and his daughter Rosie of Lakewood, CA; Greg (Inga) Rudshagen and their three children Karen, Erik and Sam of Newbury Park, CA; a sister, Darlys Clark and her three children Chris, Wendy and Liza of Billings, MT; her mother-in-law Betty Scheid of Miles City, MT; her sisters-in-law: Linda Nulliner and her three children Selena, Sean and Tina; Sandra Kinsey and her two children: Jake and Jase (Jody) Kinsey of Miles City and her brother-in-law Marty (Theresa) Scheid and their son James of Miles City; along with many grand nieces and nephews. Eunice took great pride in her family and in her work. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.

Brenda Johnston
Brenda Johnston, age 57, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her home in Miles City of natural causes.
Brenda was born on October 14, 1952 in Miles City, Montana, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Olson) Johnston she was the oldest of seven children. She attended school in Miles City, MT graduating with the class of 1971. She attended Montana State University and graduated as an R.N. at Miles Community College in 1978.
Brenda had a special love of children and spent many years as a Girl Scout leader. She was a foster mother for several children and had legal custody of Twyla Garfield. She enjoyed taking her nieces and others on summer camping trips. She had a special bond with her niece Misty and had lived with her and her sons in Miles City and for a short while in Glasgow, KY. She had a deep faith in God and served on the council of Trinity Lutheran Church and as a Sunday School teacher there.
Brenda is survived by her father Frank Johnston of Friendship Villa; sisters Wanda (Bud) Rasmussen of Grenora, ND, Marla Malley of Miles City; brothers, Kevin (Mary) Johnston and Lowell Johnston of Miles City; nephew, Joe (Amber) Ferris and daughter Hailey, Nieces Peggy Ferris, Kim Malley and sons Vance and Marley, Elizabeth Johnston all of Miles City; and Misty Johnston and sons Brenden and Braiden of Glasgow, KY.
She is preceded in death by her mother Emma Johnston, and sisters Charla Johnston, Carla Ferris, and Twyla Garfield.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with family to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County cemetery in Miles City. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.

Wade Hunter
Wade Hunter, age 78, of Miles City passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Billings Clinic in Billings.
Wade was born in Gage, Montana on April 2, 1932, the son of Richard and Tena (Mosby) Hunter. He did a little calfing with the Feildman's of Jordan and during the winter he made fudge for all his friends and family. Believe it or not, he was very good at it and it was very good. Wade had some real special friends he had made over the years including Russell Strait Jason and Mrs. Paulie. Wade has spent the last 30 years with his wife Joann Preller and along with Joann came her three children: Lavonne, Mike and Mary, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Throughout Wade's life, he achieved many different accomplishments. He was a Welder, electrician, truck driver, bronc rider and cowboy. He had a sense of humor that kept you in stitches. He loved people and enjoyed helping whomever he could.
Wade is survived by his wife, Joann of Miles City, MT; daughter, Tena (Chris) Ross of Big Timber, MT; Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Jerimiah Heble and his children: JJ, Nick, Tre and Tyra; and Jenna Heble and her child Fallon. Surviving relatives are sisters: Lorraine (Hunter) George and Brother-in-law, Orville George and Leah Verlene Mashino; brother, John Mashino; aunt Madeline Roeseler, 102 yrs. old and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tena Mashino, father Richard Hunter and step-father, Verlie Mashino and many other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veteran's cemetery with full military honors.

Herbert Sasse
Herbert Adolf Sasse, age 74, passed away at his home in Mesa, Arizona on April 14, 2010.
Herbert was born on December 31, 1935 in Zap, North Dakota to John and Wihelmana (Madche) Sasse. He attended school in Zap, graduating from Zap High School. Herbert honorably served on active duty in the Army of the United States from August 1955 to August 1957. Herbert married Audrey Wolf on June 16, 1959.
During Herbert's working career, he worked for Montana-Dakota Utilities in Mandan, North Dakota, Sheridan, Wyoming, Glendive, Montana, and finally for 16 years worked a regular shift at Miles City, Montana, instead of shift work. He worked for 40 1/2 years. He loved his job, but loved retirement more, just loved to camp and spend time with Audrey. He loved his family and loved to spend time with children and grandchildren. Ed is his number one son-in-law who he will miss dearly. Herbert will be there to meet him in heaven. Herbert's greatest joy was working with wood, and he had a great wood working shop. In his later life he spent a lot of time creating latch hook master pieces for family and friends.
Herbert loved his home in Mesa, Arizona. What a great place to spend the winter. He disliked Montana winters.
Herbert was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City, and served on a few committees. He was active with Good Sam's Club serving as president for Miles City, and State Assistant Director. He was also active with IBEW Union and Jaycees.
Herbert will be remembered for his sense of humor and quick, numerous jokes.
Herbert is survived by his wife Audrey of Miles City. He is survived by his children: Valerie Gail Sasse, of Billings, Vicki Lynn Bohlmann (Wendy), of Loveland, Colorado, and Dr. Troy John Sasse (Tara), of Quincy, Michigan, and Vanessa Kay Gruba (Ed), of Miles City. His grandchildren Scot (Amy), Bryan, Cortney, Cassie (Dustin), Jacob, Alexis, and Mikenna. His great grandchildren: Zackerie, Gaberial, and Gretchen. His brother, Rudolph Sasse and sister, Erna (Ervin) Wolf of North Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters, and his grandchild, Breanna.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 4 - 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. A Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veteran's cemetery with full military honors.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Miles City Building or to Audrey to help with expenses.

Terry Rogers
Terry Rogers, age 51, of Miles City, MT died April 11, 2010 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT
Terry was born to parents Ira Rogers and Bette Kochel on August 24, 1958 in Miles City, MT. After moving around a lot during grade school he came back to Miles City where he graduated from Custer County High School. Terry returned to Miles City in the late 80's from Texas to care for his grandmother Lillian Chiesa.
Terry worked several jobs through the years including M&H, Pizza Hut, Miles City Star, Garfield School and his favorite two the 600 café and the Boardwalk. Terry truly loved walking his daughters to school and being able to spend time outside enjoying the wildlife. He had a tender spot in his heart for animals. He loved the joys of music especially music from the 60's and 70's and he could often be seen walking down the street with his headphones on. Despite his trials and struggles in life Terry had a great love of the Lord, often setting time aside for daily devotions. He was able to read the whole bible as well other religious books. His favorite authors are Doug Balchlor and Dwight Nelson.
A graveside service will held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Custer County cemetery in Miles City.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Stevenson & Sons Funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Shirley Neuman
Shirley Neuman, age 73, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Shirley was born on April 29, 1936 in Miles City, Montana, the daughter of Edwin and Lorna (Kudick) Freier. She grew up and attended schools in Miles City and graduated from Custer County High School in 1956. Following graduation, she worked a short while in Minneapolis where she met Dale Neuman and they were married in Miles City on June 17, 1972. She was a homemaker all her life.
Shirley is survived by two brothers: Robert E. (Norma) Freier of Seattle, WA; and Harold Clayton (Barb) Freier of Billings, MT; two sisters, Agnes Comstock of Kansas City, MO; Eleanor (John) Neurohr of Miles City, MT; fourteen nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale Neuman; a sister, Florence Yablonski; nieces and nephews: Peggy Harstad, Lynda Harstad Ottun, Roland Limberhand Harstad; brother-in-law, John Harstad; and sister-in-law, Loretta Neuman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 with the family to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wesleyan Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veteran's cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Shirley's family for funeral expenses or to the Wesleyan Church.
