PLENTYWOOD - Roy E. Michels Jr., 50, died Friday, July 17, 1998, at Plentywood.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 20, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Plentywood, with interment in the Plentywood Memorial cemetery.

Robert Raymond Sage
POWELL, Wyo. - Robert Raymond Sage, 80, died Saturday, July 18, 1998, at the Powell Hospital.
Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Union Presbyterian Church in Powell.

Dorothy Giesick Weis
Dorothy Weis, born Aug. 17, 1930, died of cancer on July 18, 1998, at the age of 67. She entered into this world the youngest of eight children born to John and Katherine Giesick.
Dorothy spent her youth on the family farm east of Billings and attended schools there until high school, at which time she attended Billings Senior High. On May 1, 1948, she married Clarence Weis of Laurel. In 1957, they moved to Missoula, where they owned and operated Western Pump and Mater, until 1961, when they relocated the business permanently to Billings. From 1982 to 1986, they also owned the Caboose Saloon in Laurel.
In 1968, Dorothy and Clarence purchased a ranch southeast of Laurel, where they would spend many happy and memorable days. Dorothy was an active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the BPOE Elks Lodge in Billings. She enjoyed music, dancing, laughing and having a good time. Her infectious laugh and generosity of spirit became her hallmark, and friends and family could always depend on her for her understanding, support, and light hearted humor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Weis; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Ramsdell of Delmont, S.D.; her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and William Crowley of Missoula; her son, Clarence Weis Jr. Of Minneapolis; her treasured grandchildren, Jason Beyl of Drumwight, Okla., Michael Beyl of Billings and Katie, Kristie, Kim and Kevin Crowley of Missoula; and her close friend, Dick Drewniak, of Billings.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Memorials may be directed to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, Mont. 59107-5033, the BPOE Elks Lodge, 934 Lewis Ave., Billings, Mont. 59102, the Lutheran Center, 1024 N. 30th St., Billings, Mont. 59101, or the charity of one's choice. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Alderson Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Cecelia M. Easton
LAUREL - Cecelia M. Easton, 74, of Laurel, passed away Friday evening July 17, 1998, at Billings Deaconess Hospital.
She was born at Laurel April 18, 1924, a daughter of Chester and Lillie Mae Strong. She graduated from Park City High School in 1942. Cecelia was married to Raleigh W. Easton at Billings on Feb. 19, 1944.
She was a lifetime resident of the Park City-Laurel area and had been the bookkeeper for the family business, Laurel Transfer. She was clerk for the City of Laurel for 10 years until her retirement. Cecelia was a member of Laurel United Methodist Church, Hannah Circle of the Methodist Church. O.E.S. and Rotana.
She really enjoyed her grandchildren.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband Raleigh in 1992, and by three sisters and a brother.
Survivors include her children, Rod L. Easton of Billings, Rex B. Easton of Bozeman and Leah M. Ellwein of Helena; a sister, Alice Rieker of Laurel; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel with interment in the Laurel cemetery. Memorials: Laurel Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 10, Laurel, Mont. 59044.

Ida Florence Alexander Havig
LOVELL, Wyo. - Ida Florence Alexander Havig passed away on Friday, July 17, 1998, at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell, where she has resided for several years.
She was born in Byron, Wyo., on Nov. 7, 1904, in a pioneer log home, the eighth child of Bert and Viola Alexander. She is preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
She married Ed (Eivin) Havig on Sept. 19, 1923, in Billings. He preceded her in death after reaching his 101st birthday. Together, they shared an abundant, happy and rewarding life. One of her most memorable experiences was to visit Ed's native land of Norway on two occasions, and meeting his family.
She was an active member of the LDS church and faithfully served in her many callings.
Her great sense of humor and love of all the good things in life made her a source of strength to all her immediate and extended family. She was an elegant lady.
Survivors include two sons, Dick Havig of Byron and Ray Havig of Billings; with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, plus nieces and nephews and their prosterity.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel in Byron, Wyo.

Alvina Whitewolf-Moore
BUSBY - Alvina Whitewolf-Moore, 54, of Busby, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 17,1998.
She was born Dec. 5, 1943, in Busby, a daughter of Charles and Susie Grasshopper Whitewolf. She was raised and educated in Busby and Sheridan, Wyo. She later attend the Dull Knife Memorial College. She worked for the Guild Arts and Crafts in Ashland and later at the Busby school as a teacher's aide and cook's helper.
Alvina married Dean Moore in 1981, and the couple made their home in Busby and Grove Springs, Mo. She was later divorced.
She was a founder and "corner stone" of the Busby Pentecostal Church of God, serving her church and community for over 30 years. The power of prayer was important to her life. She often shared her thoughts and prayers with her family and friends.
Alvina enjoyed attending garage sales, making crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include four sons, Collins Moore, Travis Moore, Ronnie (Cindy) Moore and Floyd( Alyne) Moore of Busby; four daughters, Michelle One Feather of Lame Deer, Lola (Joseph) Haugen, April Moore and Mary (Vernon) Little Bear of Busby; two sisters, Effie Bear Chum of Busby and Frieda (Rick) Smith of Pryor; a half-sister, Glenda Addison of Lame Deer; her father-in-law, Oda Moore of Grove Spits, Mo.; and 28 grandchildren.
Wake services will be held 7 p.m. Monday in the Busby Pentecostal Church of God. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Church with Rev. Fern Violet, officiating. Interment will follow in the Busby cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Roy S. Newman
CAMP CROOK, S.D. - Roy S. Newman, 92, of Camp Crook, N.D., formerly of Ekalaka, died Thursday, July 16, 1998, at the Crook County Memorial Nursing Home in Sundance, Wyo.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Community Bible Church in Camp Crook, with interment in the Fairview cemetery. Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker is in charge.

Fern Woodard Rudman
HILL CITY, Kan. - Fern Woodard Rudman, 85, formerly of Reedpoint, died Saturday, May 2, 1998.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 20 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Billings. Spencer Chapel of Hill City was in charge.

Esther Florence Tucker
Esther Florence Tucker, 96, of Billings, died July 18, 1998, at Western Manor Health Care Center after a short illness. The daughter of Joseph and Anna Kruer, she was born June 7, 1902, in Mankato, Minn.
Esther was raised and educated in Mankato and following high school and junior college, worked for the Singer Sewing Co. She married Roy C. Tucker on March 27, 1934, in Mankato. In 1946, they moved to Billings, where they owned and operated Tucker's Shoes for many years.
Esther was an active member of Eastern Star, Ladies Shrine Club, the Elks Club, and Hilands Country Club. She enjoyed sports, traveling, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her son, Tom Tucker of Casper, Wyo.; four grandchildren, Greg Tucker of Casper, Wyo., Todd Tucker of Shreveport, La., Brett Tucker of Loveland, Colo., and Lisa DeShaney of Billings; and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 24, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist Alderson Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the Shriners Burned and Crippled Children's Hospital, 911 W. 5th St., Spokane, Wash., the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation, 2050 Overland Ave., Billings, Mont. 59102, or the charity of one's choice.

Kay Zindt, Sept. 9, 1914 - July 8, 1998
GREAT FALLS - Our beloved Mom and Nana passed away on July 8 while on vacation in Madison, Wis. She was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Great Falls.
She retired from Beatrice Foods in 1978, and spent the years thereafter doing what she loved the most - traveling and of course, sharing herself wholly with her children and grandchildren. We will remember her love of life, humor, generosity, gentle spirit and youthful heart.
Kay is survived by her son Gary Zindt of Billings; her daughter Karri Paul of Great Falls; her grandchildren Tawn Loftus of Port Angeles, Wash., Dr. Tory Robson of Cottage Grove, Wis., Tina Robson of Great Falls, Heather Zindt of Billings, Erinn Zindt of Bozeman, and great-granddaughter Karissa Loftus of Port Angeles.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at O'Connor Funeral Home on July 27 at 11 a.m. followed by a life celebration.

Eugene Cottor
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Eugene Cottor, 92, of Sacramento, formerly of Sidney, Mont., passed away Saturday, July 11, 1998, in Sacramento.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, 1998, in St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Sidney. Interment will be in Richland Memorial Park in Sidney. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney is in charge.

Frank James Crandall
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - Frank James Crandall, 36, of Lake Elsinore, formerly of Miles City, Mont/. passed away Monday, June 22, 1998, in Lake Elsinor.
Cremation has taken place. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of arrangements.

Kasper Arnold Friedly
LIVINGSTON - Kasper Arnold Friedly, 89, of Livingston, died Friday, July 17, 1998, at Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Livingston. Graveside committal and burial will follow at Shorthill cemetery in Paradise Valley, south of Livingston. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home of Livingston is in charge of arrangements.

Agripina Garza
Agripina Garza, 74, of Billings, passed away Thursday, July 16, 1998, in St. Vincent Hospital.
Visitations will begin Sunday afternoon at the Smith Downtown Chapel. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, at Our Lady of Guadalupe followed by rite of committal in Riverside cemetery.

Lois O. Manuel Heggem
Lois O. Manuel Heggem, 83, former Lewistown resident, died on Thursday, July 16, 1998, at the Parkview Convalescent Care Center in Billings where she had resided for the past four years.
She was born at Judith Gap on July 10, 1915, to Charles R. And Mame (Fox) Franks. She attended school at Judith Gap, graduating from Judith Gap High School in 1933. Lois then attended Billings Normal School, graduating in 1935.
On May 19, 1939, at Judith Gap, she was united in marriage to Ted B. Manuel. He preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 1974.
On Aug. 31, 1979, at Harlowton, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Heggem. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1991.
Lois taught school at Buffalo and Straw from 1935 to 1939. Following their marriage, she and Ted owned and operated Ideal Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Harlowton from 1940 until 1949. They then established Mid-West Leather Cleaners in Billings, which they owned and operated from 1949 until 1952. In 1952, they moved to Lewistown to operate Fashion Dry Cleaners until 1955. Lois then worked for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph (now US West) from 1955 to 1970.
In 1965, she and Ted purchased a ranch north of Winifred, where she lived until Ted's death in 1974. Lois then moved to Lewistown and was employed by the Mental Health Center until 1979, when she married Robert J. Heggem.
Lois enjoyed sewing, crafts, dancing and playing the piano. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Deborah Manuel of Lewistown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Foy McCollum of Lewistown; and Sue and George Fisher of Winifred. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Aaron Manuel, Stefani Manuel, Eric McCollum, Kara McCollum, Lisa Fisher, Quinn Fisher, Ross Berg, Joe Berg and Wendy Berg and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, two brothers, and her parents.
Memorial services for Lois Heggem will be at the Creel Funeral Chapel on Monday, July 20 at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be designated to the Winifred Swimming Pool Fund. The Creel Funeral Home of Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.

Leila R. Heinz
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Leila R. Heinz, 81, passed away Thursday, July 16, 1998, at the Memorial Hospital in Sheridan.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Champion Funeral Home in Sheridan.
