McMahon and Emmert
Anna Marie McMahon and J.D. Emmert were married
Dec. 28, 2002, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Helena.
The maid of honor was Laura McMahon. The bridesmaids were Laura Nelson, Lacey Sprinkle, Genevieve Priebe, Julie Turcott, Deanna Lamphear, Cassi Shelly and Mary Mullen. The flower girls were Madi McMahon and Kali Anderson.
The best man was Tyler Emmert. The groomsmen were Justin Thomas, Travis Ahner, Michael McMahon, Nick Carrell, Ben Alke, Dan Stanger and John Molineux. The ring bearers ware Tanner McMahon and Alex Wagner, and Sean McCutcheon, Brent Pikkula and Jaden Erwin served as ushers.
Anna is the daughter of Karen Fox and Jack McMahon of Helena. She graduated from Carroll College in 2002 with degrees in computer science and business management. She is employed as a business analyst at Affiliated Computer Systems Inc. in Denver.
J.D. is the son of Nancy and John Emmert of Helena. He graduated from Carroll College in 2002 with degrees in mathematics and engineering. He is a graduate student at the University of Colorado and engineering assistant at CADSWES in Boulder, Colo.
The couple honeymooned at Maui, Hawaii.
They live in Boulder.
Nelson and Brooke
Wendy Anne Nelson and Mark Thomas Brooke were married
Sept. 14, 2002, in Bozeman.
The matron of honor was Perri Gallagher. Becky Gleason and Amy Pacello were the bridesmaids. Trever Brandt was the best man, and Steve Field and Steve Thompson were groomsmen.
Wendy is the daughter of Lorna Nelson and Paul Nelson, both of Bozeman. She graduated from Montana State University-Bozeman in 1992, and the Ochsner Medical Center-School of Allied Health Sciences, New Orleans, in 1994. She is a registered dietitian employed at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Mark is the son of Tom and Ann Brooke of Helena. He graduated from Notre Dame University in 1992, and from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a hydro-geologist employed at Morrison Maierle.
The couple honeymooned in Romania.
They live in Helena.
Hurley and McNickolas
Kathleen A. Hurley and Daune McNickolas were married
May 14, 2003, in Las Vegas.
Matron of honor was Darla Campbell. Reece Campbell was the best man.
Kathleen is the daughter of Joe and Jewel Hurley of Helena. She graduated from Capital High School in 1986, and earned a degree in criminology from Southern Oregon University in 1990. She graduated from the Law Academy in Seattle in 1994. Kathleen is a negotiator employed at the Vancouver Police Department.
Daune is the son of Tom and Fran McNickolas of Vancouver, Wash. He is also employed at the Vancouver Police Department. He is a sergeant in the drug division.
They couple are planning a honeymoon to the Caribbean in September.
They live in Vancouver.
Turney and Peterson
Jacqueline Turney and Mark Peterson were married
April 12, 2003, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Jacqueline is the daughter of Jack and Yuvanne Turney of Grant. She is employed by the Forest Service and Montana Prescribed Fire Services.
Mark is the son of Sandra Fredette and Douglas Peterson. He is co-owner of Aspen Consulting and Engineering.
The couple honeymooned on a cruise in the Caribbean.
They live in Helena.
Martin and McKinney
Jama Beth Martin and Matthew Robert McKinney were married
Dec. 28, 2002, at the LDS Seattle Temple in Bellevue, Wash.
Following the wedding, a reception hosted by the groom’s parents was held at the Tapps Island Clubhouse in Sumner. On Jan. 4, 2003, a reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held in Helena.
Matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Lisa McKee. Bridesmaids were Nicole Martin and Ande Burger.
The groom’s brother, Josh McKinney, was the best man and Tom Worton and Dave Fallows were groomsmen.
Jama is the daughter of Tom and Nathel Martin of Montana City. She graduated from Helena High School in 1997. She is a student at BYU-Idaho slated to graduate Aug. 22 with a degree in horticulture.
Matthew is the son of Robert and Barbara McKinney of Sumner, Wash. He graduated from Auburn High School, Auburn, Wash., in 1997. Matthew served a two-year mission to The Netherlands for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is also a student ad BYU Idaho, working towards a degree in construction management.
The couple honeymooned in Victoria, British Columbia.
They live in Rexburg, Idaho
Feser and Tappe
Angela Marie Feser and David Matthew Tappe eloped and were married
March 13, 2003, at Hapuna Beach on the island of Hawaii.
Angela is the daughter of Kenneth and Sherrill Feser of Deer Park, Wash. She graduated from Washington State University with a master’s degree in landscape architecture. She has recently started her own landscape architectural design firm, Design Imageering, in the Helena area.
David is the son of Richard and Phyllis Tappe of Jefferson City. David, a former Army helicopter pilot, now assists in the management of the family business, Treasure State Development Corporation in Montana City.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and now resides in a home near Lake Helena. A Hawaiian luau reception is scheduled in the bride’s hometown for August.

Allison McGowen and Chris Keegan were married
Aug. 31, 2003, at Stanford University Memorial Church in Palo Alto, Calif.
Melissa Banks was the matron of honor. Sue Heter and Kelly Keegan were the bridesmaids, and flower girl was Sabrina McGowen.
Best man was Kevin Keegan. Brian Keegan, Damon Murdo and Ty Weingartner were the groomsmen, and Ethan McGowen was the ring bearer.
Allison is the daughter of Mike and Laurel McGowen of Gustine, Calif. She graduated from Stanford University in 2002 and Northwestern University Law School in 2004. Allison is employed at the law firm of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati in San Francisco.
Chris is the son of Tom and Barbara Keegan of Helena. He graduated from Stanford University in 1999 and the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2002. He is employed at Kirkland and Ellis Law Firm in San Francisco.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.
They live in San Francisco.
