Larry A. Weeks (Dated Friday, June 12, 1998)
FT. WALTON BEACH, Fla. -- Larry Allen Weeks, 50, of 105 Charlotte Court, formerly of Clinton, N.C., died Wednesday in Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center.
Mr. Weeks was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton. He was an Air Force veteran.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Royal-Hall Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. David Kolb. Burial with military honors will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Weeks is survived by his mother, Kathleen W. Weeks of Clinton; and a brother, Brent Weeks of Clinton.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Kathleen W. Weeks, 107 McArthur Lane.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 408 College St., Clinton, N.C. 28328.

RAEFORD -- Mrs. Mabel Rose Platt, 75, of 314 Platt Road died Thursday in her home.

Mrs. Hazel Debrow (Dated Friday, June 12, 1998)
Mrs. Hazel Debrow, 89, of Fayetteville died June 4 in Village Green Care Center.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Tucker & Sons Funeral Home chapel by Bishop Jobe Latham. Burial will be in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Debrow is survived by two sons, J.C. Gill and Willie G. Debrow, both of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The public will be received today from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Janie Bugg (Dated Friday, June 12, 1998)
Mrs. Janie Bugg, 94, of Fayetteville died Tuesday in Village Green Care Center.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Saturday in Rockfish Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bugg is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The public will be received Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Tucker & Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alice B. Bradley (Dated Friday, June 12, 1998)
SANFORD -- Mrs. Alice Brown Bradley, 81, of 6436 Bradley Road died Wednesday in Central Carolina Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m Saturday in Juniper Springs Baptist Church in Broadway by the Revs. Danny Wallace, Larry Knight and Mark D. Bradley. Burial will be in Broadway Town Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown is survived by a daughter, Nancy Bradley of Palm Springs, Calif.; a son, Harold “Buck” Bradley of Orange, Calif; a sister, Alma B. Brown of Sanford; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sandra P. Davis (Dated Friday, June 12, 1998)
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Mrs. Sandra Peacock Davis, 54, of Albany, formerly of Benson, died Tuesday in her home.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. James Disciples Church in Benson by the Rev. Melvin Bullock. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Harry Davis of the home; a daughter, Sandra C. Davis of Albany; her mother, Eldress E. Peacock of Benson; two sisters, Dr. Gloria Cdayru of Tulsa, Okla., and Lenora Burgess of Jamaica, N.Y.; and a foster sister, Saufoula Ann Jarhain of Liberia, Africa.
The public will be received tonight from 3 to 8 at Payton Funeral Home in Dunn.

Miss Helen Downs (Dated Friday, June 12, 1998)
JACKSONVILLE -- Miss Helen Downs, 92, of McDaniels Adult Care Home, formerly of Fayetteville, died Thursday in Onslow Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Allen-Lee Memorial Methodist Church in Lone Oak, Ga. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Local arrangements are being handled by Johnson-Gaskins Funeral Home.
Miss Downs is survived by three brothers, Lawrence R. Downs of Jacksonville, Maurice W. Downs of Fayetteville and Sam M. Downs of Emerald Isle.

LILLINGTON -- J. Prentiss Coats, 89, of Lillington, died Thursday.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. David Luethy. Burial will be in Pleasant Union Christian Church cemetery.
Mr. Coats is survived by two sons, Donald Coats of Lillington and Douglas Coats of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Sarah Odell of Olson, Va.; two half-sisters, Christine Stanley and Janie Harvel, both of Dunn; a half-brother, Sherrill Coats of Dunn; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

SHANNON -- Bobby Terrell Monroe, 22, of 590 John Road died Friday.

Mr. Monroe is survived by his father, Bobby Monroe of Shannon; his mother, Eloise H. Monroe of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter, Kashefa S. Monroe; two sisters, Lisa M. Hailey-Monroe and Nicole S. Gray, both of Brooklyn; his maternal grandmother, Laura A. Hailey of Raeford; and his paternal grandmother, Sallie T. Monroe of Raeford.
The family will receive friends today from 1 to 8 p.m. at Doby Funeral Home in Raeford.
John R. Staples (Dated Friday, June 12, 1998)
Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class John Robert Staples, 74, of Fayetteville died Tuesday in Highland House Nursing Home.

Mr. Staples is survived by his wife, Margaret Staples; four sons, Mike Staples, Butch Staples, John Staples and Hamilton Staples, all of Fayetteville; five daughters, Ursula Moseley, Bernice Tyler and Judy Boykin, all of Fayetteville, Ruth Busby of Fuquay-Varina and Debbie Uyeda of Lexington, S.C.; three brothers, Fred Staples, Walter Staples and Hamilton Staples, all of New York; a sister, Mary Sledzeanowski of New York; 25 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

PEMBROKE -- Jerry Johnson Pipkin, 46, 3979 Moss Neck Road died Monday in his home.
Mr. Pipkin was employed by L.O.F. Glass Co. in Laurinburg. He was a member of Holy Swamp Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Holy Swamp Baptist Church in Lumberton by the Rev. Wilson Brewington. Burial will be in the Pipkin family cemetery.
Mr. Pipkin is survived by six sisters, Emma R. Pipkin of Roxbury, Mass., Lois L. Moore of Hyde Park, Mass., Betty A. Hudson of Columbus, Ohio, Patsy C. Pipkin and Maggie V. Pipkin, both of Pembroke and Terry L. Pipkin of Dorchester, Mass.; and five brothers, John W. Pipkin of Columbus, Lawrence W. Pipkin of Roxbury, Ronnie A. Pipkin, Michael Pipkin and Noal S. Pipkin, all of Pembroke.

HOPE MILLS -- Mrs. Pauline Hobson Lowe, 83, of Route 1 died Tuesday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Highland Funeral Service & Crematory in Fayetteville by the Rev. J.O. Jernigan.
Mrs. Lowe is survived by a son, Howard L. “Larry” Thomas of Griffin, Ga; a daughter, Janet L. Shipp of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Evans is survived by four daughters, Sherry Allen of Fayetteville, Paulette Evans of Austin, Texas, Angelia Williams of Decatur, Ga. and Johnifeur Evans of Dunn; two sons, Willie Evans of Fayetteville and Alfred Evans of Brockton, Mass.; a sister, Edna Evans of Fayetteville; 7 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
