ROSEBORO -- Willie ‘‘Bill’’ Cannady, 85, of 201 Dewberry Lane died Sunday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Mr. Cannady was a member of Bonnettsville Church of God of Prophecy. He was a retired farmer.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bonnettsville Church of God of Prophecy by the Revs. James Barker and James Crooms. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cannady is survived by three sons, Willie C. Cannady of Lexington, Joseph L. Cannady of Clinton and Richard E. Cannady of Roseboro; a daughter, Mable A. Carter of Roseboro; a sister, R.C. ‘‘Roxie’’ Piper of Oceanside, Calif.; a half brother, Jacob Cannady of Lexington; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

HIGH POINT -- Mrs. Dorothy Sue Lemmon Kirkpatrick, 76, of High Point, formerly of Fayetteville, died Sunday in High Point Regional Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Presbyterian Home by the Revs. Lisa M. Mullin and George Carpenter; and at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Avondale Presbyterian Church in Charlotte by the Revs. John B. Earl, Fred A. McAlister Jr. and Robert J. James. Burial will be in Forest Lawn East in Matthews. Arrangements are being handled by Cremation Services of Winston-Salem.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick is survived by her husband, the Rev. Charles E. Kirkpatrick; five children, Sue Kirkpatrick-Humphries of New York, Amy Kirkpatrick-Herman of Cary, Charles E. Kirkpatrick Jr. of Kinston, Robert H. Kirkpatrick of Denver and William L. Kirkpatrick of Charlotte; and four grandchildren.

CLAYTON -- Robert L. ‘‘Bob’’ Williams of Clayton died Sunday in Wake Medical Center.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. today in Mount Moriah Baptist Church cemetery in Raleigh by the Rev. Hal Bilbo. Arrangements are being handled by McLaurin Funeral Home.
Among Mr. Williams’ survivors is a sister, Fay W. Dease of Fayetteville.

GREENSBORO -- The Rev. Luther Douglas Locklear, 69, of 3607 S. Elm Eugene Lot No. 37, formerly of Rowland, died Sunday in Moses Cone Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Rowland by the Revs. Johnie Chavis, Prather Sampson and Thesley Campbell. Burial will be in New Bethel Church cemetery in Rowland.
The Rev. Locklear is survived by his wife, Audrey O. Locklear of the home; two sons, Terry Hunt of Greensboro and Kenneth Locklear of Kanapolis; two daughters, Barbara Barnes and Debbie Hunt, both of Rowland; three brothers, James L. Locklear of Rowland and Carson Locklear and Linberg Locklear, both of Pembroke; and two sisters, Lannie Hunt of Elrod and Mattie Danford of Thomasville.

Faunda of Camp Lejeune; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Gore retired from the Army after 20 years.
