DELCO -- Mrs. Dora Dane Malpass Wallace, 85, of Delco died Monday in Liberty Commons Assisted Living Center in Wilmington.

Mrs. Wallace was a member of Cheerful Hope Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cheerful Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. Calvin Malpass. Arrangements are being handled by McKenzie Mortuary.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by her husband, Willie L. Wallace Jr. of the home; a son, Willie T. Wallace of Delco; two sisters, Lucy M. Ellis of Bolivia and Maggie M. Davis of Wilmington; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the cemetery and after the service at the church fellowship hall.

Charles S. Matthews
(Dated Friday, November 19, 1999)
WOODBRIDGE, Va. -- Charles Sherman Matthews, 63, of 13720 Joyce Road, formerly of Sampson County, N.C., died Tuesday in Potomac Hospital.

Mr. Matthews was an automobile dealer before retiring.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Piney Green Baptist Church by the Revs. Dennis McDonald and David Rhodenhizer. Burial will be in the Matthews family cemetery.

Mr. Matthews is survived by his wife, Mable H. Matthews; a daughter, Wonda Iengo of Long Island, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Carol Whitsell of Waldorf, Md., and Judy Musser of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Ruby Fann of Salemburg and Vernie M. McKenzie of Roseboro; and three brothers, Henry L. Matthews of Roseboro, Orson Matthews of Clinton, N.C., and Carey V. Matthews of Fairfield, Calif.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Royal-Hall Funeral Home in Clinton.

Nannie L. McKinnon

Ms. Nannie L. McKinnon, 85, of 279 Windsor Drive, Fayetteville, died Thursday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Cunningham & Sons Mortuary.

Marcus A. Anderson, 32, of 7315 Rockfish Road, Fayetteville, died Wednesday.

Arrangements will be announced by Reeves Funeral Home of Hope Mills.

J. Harvey McCullen

CLINTON -- James Harvey McCullen, 94, of 890 Share Cake Road died Thursday in Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. McCullen was a farmer before retiring.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Royal-Hall Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Jimmy Swinson and Ralph Lambert. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery.

Mr. McCullen is survived by his wife, Beadie A. McCullen; two sisters, Mary A. Norman of Washington and Mae Strickland of Goldsboro; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Nancy B. Yearby
(Dated Friday, November 19, 1999)
PINEHURST -- Mrs. Nancy Blake Yearby, 50, of 65 Beaver Drive died Wednesday in N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Mrs. Yearby was a member of the Sandhills Kiwanis. She was the owner of Small World Travel Agency.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Community Presbyterian Church by Chaplain Charles Meek. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Yearby is survived by her husband, Tony Yearby of the home; two daughters, Kristin Yearby of Pinehurst and Beth Y. Parsons of Charlotte; her mother, Emma P. Blake of Southern Pines; and a brother, David E. Blake of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Boles Funeral Home.

Kattie L. Locklear

PEMBROKE -- Ms. Kattie Lee Locklear, 54, of 1197 Harley Road died Wednesday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in Mount Airy Baptist Church by Michael Cummings, Steve Strickland and Jerry Locklear. Burial will be in the Locklear family cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Locklear & Son Funeral Home.

Ms. Locklear is survived by two sons, Anthony W. Locklear and Jimmy Locklear, both of Rowland; three brothers, Hughie Locklear and Earl Locklear, both of Rowland, and James W. Locklear of Greensboro; five sisters, Lee Anna Jacobs, Joyce Jacobs and Sally Bledsole, all of Rowland, Myrna L. Deese of Lumberton and Rosa Rivera of Maxton; and three grandchildren.

Emmanuel Rodriguez

LILLINGTON -- Emmanuel Rodriguez, infant son of Eduardo and Angelicia Z. Rodriguez, of Lillington died recently.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Ken Dalton. Burial will be in Westview Memorial Gardens.

In addition to his parents, Emmanuel is survived by two brothers, Alfredo and Jonathon; three sisters, Erica, Jo-Ann and Jessica, all of the home; and his grandparents, Timothy Zapata and Benita Lopez, both of Texas.

SOUTHERN PINES -- Ms. Emile May Wilson, 93, of Southern Pines died Wednesday in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Ms. Wilson was a retired teacher.

A Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church by Father James Butler. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Ms. Wilson is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home & Crematory.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Moore County, P.O. Box 203, Southern Pines, N.C. 28388.

Arlene H. Caudle

Mrs. Arlene H. Caudle, 75, of 1735 Reeves St., Fayetteville, died Thursday in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Caudle is survived by three daughters, Edna Cashwell, Betty Grey and Janice Cowser, all of Fayetteville; three sons, Bobby Caudle, George Caudle and Walter Caudle; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

John W. Brown

WAGRAM -- John Westley Brown, 67, of 21420 Gilchrist St. died Tuesday in Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Jackson Funeral Home by the Rev. Oris McPhatter. Burial will be in Nazareth Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Brown is survived by five daughters, Mary Brown, Lula M. Hope, Martha Covington and Lorene Covington, all of McColl, S.C., and Shana Brown of Laurinburg; a stepdaughter, Gina Brown of Laurinburg; three sons, Fred Covington and James Brown, both of McColl, and Charles W. Brown of the home; a stepson, Dean Porter of Laurinburg; three sisters, Flossie Taylor, Vira R. Sconiers, both of Wagram, and Venetter Monroe of Red Springs; and a brother, Nathaniel Leslie of Raeford.

The public will be received today from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wall is survived by his wife, Ledonia Wall of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Callie Griffin of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Ben Wall of Washington; a sister, Mattie Robinson of Rockingham; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at McNeill Funerals.
