SALEMBURG -- Patrick L. Rich, 25, of 59 Jenny Lane died Saturday in Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church in Roseboro by the Rev. John Oliver. Burial in Roseboro Cemetery.
Mr. Rich is survived by his wife, Sabrina Rich; three sons, Patrick Rich Jr. and Carman Jones, both of Salemburg, and Darius Williams of Clinton; his father, Robert E. Melvin of Roseboro; a stepbrother, Deon Melvin of Roseboro; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ossie Rich of Salemburg; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Melvin of Roseboro.
The public will be received Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Butler & Son Funeral Home in Roseboro.
Mrs. Ruth B. Vollrath (dated Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997)
Mrs. Ruth Beal Vollrath, 87, of 2541 Sycamore St., Fayetteville, died Monday in Forest Hills Rest Home.
Arrangements will be announced by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
Fairley H. Ingram (dated Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997)
ROCKINGHAM -- Fairley H. Ingram, 46, of 231 Mary Wall Road, Ashley Chapel community, died Sunday in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. today in Ashley Chapel AME Zion Church by the Rev. Donnie Pratt. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by McEachern Funeral Home.
Mr. Ingram is survived by a son, Dirrell Covington of Baltimore; his mother and stepfather, Naomi Arthur McLean of Rockingham; his father and stepmother, Fairley and Eulater Ingram of Rockingham; a sister, Christine DeLoatch of Rozelle, N.J.; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Annie W. Dowdy (dated Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997)
NAKINA -- Mrs. Annie Mae Stocks Ward Dowdy, 69, of 592 Bug Hill Road died Tuesday in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
She was a member of Northwood Assembly.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Northwood Assembly by the Rev. DeWayne Dickerson. Burial will be in Lake Waccamaw Cemetery.
Mrs. Dowdy is survived by her husband, William O. Dowdy of the home; a son, Bobby S. Ward of El Paso, Texas; four daughters, Elizabeth A. Ward of Reston, Va., Judith C. Pletcher of Cartersville, Ga., F. Karen Ward of Herndon, Va., and Vickie L. Morse of Greensboro; a stepson, Chuck Dowdy of Monroe; two stepdaughters, Jane Presley of Charlotte and Vicki Leary of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Charlie Stocks of Odenton, Md.; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Edward C. Brunson, 46, of Alexandria, formerly of Bladenboro, N.C., died Nov. 22 in his home.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Bladenboro by the Rev. Gregory Taylor. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery in Bladenboro.
Mr. Brunson is survived by his wife, Linda F. Brunson; a daughter, Cherry Brunson of Chadbourn, N.C.; three sons, Edward Brunson Jr. and Craig D. Brunson, both of the home, and Tracey Gowens of Greensboro, N.C.; his mother, Catherine B. Lewis of Bladenboro; four sisters, Clarice Brunson of Scotland Neck, N.C., Cherry Singleton of Goldsboro, N.C., and Felechea Brunson and Lisa Kelly, both of Bladenboro; six brothers, Clarence Brunson Jr. of Greensboro, Paul L. Brunson of Charleston, S.C., Michael R. Brunson, Donald L. Lewis and Ronald Lewis, all of Bladenboro, and Derris Kelly of Charlotte, N.C.; and his maternal grandmother, C.J. Wright of Bladenboro.

Mrs. Meta L. McLamb (dated Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997)
NEWTON GROVE -- Mrs. Meta Lois McLamb, 71, of 11159 N.C. 50 North died Tuesday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Smyrna Presbyterian Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
Mrs. McLamb is survived by three sons, James R. McLamb and Robert L. McLamb, both of Erwin, and Larry D. McLamb of Linden; a daughter, Sylvia Beasley of Apex; a brother, Ray Smith of Benson; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Esther H. Hudson (dated Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997)
DUNN -- Mrs. Esther Ellen Hudson Hudson, 86, of Route 2 died Monday in Good Hope Hospital in Erwin.
She was retired from H.P. Cannon Foods.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Skinner Funeral Home chapel by the Revs. Ken Pritchard and C.H. Lee. Burial will be in Banner’s Chapel Church cemetery.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by three sons, Lenard E. Hudson of Dunn, W. Jeffro Hudson of Benson and J. Homer Hudson of Columbia, S.C.; three daughters, Kathleen H. McLamb and Esteen H. Turnage, both of Dunn, and Gaynell H. Lee of Fayetteville; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rosa C. Welker (dated Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997)
McLEANSVILLE -- Mrs. Rosa Crenshaw Welker, 85, of 4922 McConnell Road died Tuesday in Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in McConnell Road Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Among Mrs. Welker’s survivors are three sons, Jim Welker and T.D. Welker, both of Wade, and Richard Welker of Linden.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the McFayden family cemetery in Fayetteville by the Rev. Jim Everette. Arrangements are being handled by Andrews Mortuary.
Mr. McFayden is survived by his wife, Alberta H. McFayden of the home; two daughters, Mary M. Gore and Jane D. McFayden, both of Wilmington; two sons, John D. McFayden of Las Vegas and James M. McFayden of Dallas; a brother, James L. McFayden Jr. of Olympia, Wash.; a sister, Edith M. Shanklin of Burlington; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Hannely Jones (dated Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997)
Hannely Jones, 67, of 301 Dunleith Place, Fayetteville, died Monday in her home.
A private memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the home by the Rev. Crocker. Arrangements are being handled by Wiseman Mortuary.
Mrs. Jones is survived by a son, John M. Henson; a daughter, Diane D. Lewis; a brother, Max P. Standar; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

RED SPRINGS -- William W. Smith, 82, of Red Springs died Monday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Maryleen Smith of the home; a son, William Smith Jr.; a daughter, Louvena Thomas of Baltimore; his mother, Ida S. Willis of Pembroke; and a sister, Sallie S. McGill of Red Springs.

LUMBERTON -- Willis Evans, 71, of Lumberton died Saturday in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Evans was retired from Scarborough Building Supply Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and a member of the building and tithing committees.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church by the Rev. E.B. Turner. Burial will be in Elizabeth Heights. Arrangements are being handled by Central Funeral Home.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Anna Evans of the home; two daughters, Barbara McKinnon and Cassandra Evans, both of the home; two sons, Noel Evans and Clinton Evans, both of the home; and a sister Lula M. McNeill of Lumberton.
