The Rev. R.C. Funderburk
WINSTON-SALEM - The Rev. Ronald Cleave `T-Bird' Funderburk, 55, of 3210 Parrish Road, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital.
Born July 12, 1942, in Elizabeth, N.J., he was the husband of Mrs. Jannie Williams Funderburk, who survives. He was the son of Mr. Johnnie Cleave Funderburk and Mrs. Mildred Roper Funderburk, both deceased. He was pastor of Clapps Chapel AME Church in Whitsett and was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include three sons, Mr. Dennis Daren Funderburk of Raleigh, Mr. Rodney Tamaar Funderburk of Chapel Hill and Mr. Ronald Cleave Funderburk II of the home; two sisters, Ms. Mary Nancy Funderburk of Atlanta and Ms. Sandra Faye Funderburk of Winston-Salem; three brothers, Mr. Marion Johnnie Funderburk of Charlotte, Sgt. Larry Anthony Funderburk, stationed at Travis Air Force Base in California, and Mr. Michael Ellis Funderburk of Thomasville.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at St. James AME Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will be at Clapps Chapel AME Church in Whitsett from 5 to 6 this evening, and from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Russell Funeral Home, 822 Carl Russell Ave., Winston-Salem.
The Rev. Carl Patrum
LIBERTY - The Rev. Carl Winfred Patrum, 65, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1997, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 22, 1932, in Burlington, he was the husband for 42 years of Mrs. Gail King Patrum, who survives, and the son of Mr. Nearse Patrum and Mrs. Clara Foster Patrum, both deceased. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was pastor of Rock Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Tim (Debbie) Sprouse of Gibsonville; a son, Mr. Rick Patrum of Eden; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Rock Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Whitsett.
The family will be at the church following the service.

Mrs. Mamie Andrews
SILER CITY - Mrs. Mamie Wagoner Andrews, 88, of 203 E. Hillbrook Blvd., died Friday, Nov. 14, 1997, at Country Forest Manor.
A native of Rowan County, she was retired from Collins and Aikman Corp. She was a member of Brookdale Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Blanche Brooks Sunday school class and Senior Adult Group.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. Harold B. Andrews of Burlington and Mr. David Wayne Andrews of Staley; two daughters, Mrs. Zelma Higgins of Gibsonville and Mrs. Faye Johnson of Siler City; a brother, Mr. John Wagoner of High Point; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Harrison of Asheville and Miss Frances Wagoner of High Point; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Brookdale Baptist Church by the Rev. Walter Jones and the Rev. Dennis Boone. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will be at Smith and Buckner Funeral Home from 7 to 9 Saturday evening, and at other times at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Faye Johnson, 410 E. Second St., Siler City.

Mr. Dillard Gannaway Sr.
YANCEYVILLE - Mr. Dillard Franklin Gannaway Sr., 72, of 6618 N.C. 86 South, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at his home.
Born Feb. 24, 1925, in Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Ella Graves Gannaway, who survives, and the son of Mr. Joseph Franklin Gannaway and Mrs. Mary Helen Trollinger Gannaway, both deceased. He was a retired employee of Alamance Memorial Hospital, where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include one son, Mr. Dillard Franklin Gannaway Jr. of Yanceyville; seven daughters, Ms. Faye B. Gannaway and Mrs. Gladys G. Rollins, both of Harrisburg, Pa., Mrs. Katie G. Poteat, Mrs. Gaye G. Poteat and Mrs. Wanda G. McCandies, all of Yanceyville, Mrs. Vanessa G. Poole of Mebane and Mrs. Helen G. Jeffries of Burlington; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Ebenezer Baptist Church by the Rev. B.R. Inge. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Fulton Funeral Home from 7 to 8 Sunday evening, and at other times at the home.
Mr. John Q. Love
YANCEYVILLE - Mr. John Quincy 'Boat' Love, 81, of 3879 Shomari Family Care Home, died Friday, Nov. 14, 1997.
Born June 1, 1916, in Caswell County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Katie Bell Harrison Love, and the son of Mr. John H. Love and Mrs. Carrie Bigelow Love, both deceased. He was a member of High Rock Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Marshall Block Co.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ann Newkirk of Detroit; two brothers, Mr. William Love of Mebane and Mr. Marshall Love of Washington, D.C.; five sisters, Mrs. Emma Love Miles and Mrs. Carrie Love Adams, both of Yanceyville, Mrs. Queen Love Steveson, Mrs. Lola Love Graves and Mrs. Doris Love Dawson, all of Washington; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at High Rock Baptist Church by the Rev. Lorenza Love. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Fulton Funeral Home from 4 to 8 tonight.
Mr. Thurman T. Dunn
BURLINGTON - Mr. Thurman Thomas 'T.T.' Dunn, 69, of 203-A Everette St. died at 11:41 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 1997, at the Hospice Home of Burlington after several months of failing health.
A native of Guilford County, he was the son of Mr. Ira Eston Dunn and Mrs. Gertrude Elizabeth McDaniel Dunn, both deceased. He was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine veteran of World War II and was a retired truck driver, owner and operator. He was a Christian.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Grant (Karla) Hoernke of Graham and Ms. Ann Minish of Greensboro; five sons, Mr. Danny Dunn of Burlington, Mr. Randy Dunn of Easley, S.C., Mr. James 'Jimmy' Dunn, Mr. Robert 'Sam' Dunn and Mr. Ricky Dunn, all of Greensboro; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Hubay of Palm Coast, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro by the Rev. Michael Karns, associate pastor of Beacon Baptist Church.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 Sunday evening, and at other times at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Karla Hoernke, 510 Moore St., Graham.

Ms. Angela Y. Strout
BREMERTON, Wash. - Ms. Angela Yvette Strout, 27, of 4216-C Arsneal Way died Monday, Nov. 10, 1997, at her home.
A native of Anchorage, Alaska, she was the daughter of Mr. George William Strout and Mrs. Lyda Pegg Strout, who survive. She was a production worker.
Survivors other than her parents of Graham include a son, Mr. Matthew Lewis Strout of the home; two brothers, Mr. William Everett Strout of Burlington and Mr. Kenneth Robert Strout of Graham; maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Pegg of Graham; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Mae Strout of Windson, Maine.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Graham Memorial Park by the Rev. Jerry Tow, pastor of East Burlington Church of God.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 10 to 10:45 Monday morning, and at other times at the home of her parents, 205 Albright Ave., Graham.
Mrs. Dorothy Anderson
ASHEVILLE - Mrs. Dorothy Jansson Anderson, 72, formerly of Asheville, died Monday, Nov. 10, 1997, in Burlington.
A native of Chicago, she was the wife of Mr. Oke William Anderson, who died in 1989, and the daughter of Mr. John C. Jansson and Mrs. Helen Iverson Jansson, both deceased. She was a registered nurse and was retired from Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, where she nursed primarily in obstetrics.
Survivors include two daughters, Ms. Frances Linn of Fletcher and Ms. Katherine DeCoster of Rolesville; three sons, Mr. John Anderson of Burlington, Mr. Scott Anderson of Elon College and Mr. Robert Anderson of Fairview; and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at St. John's Episcopal Church, Haw Creek, Asheville, by the Rev. Charles Taylor. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Oaks Nursing Center in Burlington.

Mr. Lofton L. Lea
YANCEYVILLE - Mr. Lofton L. Lea, 83, of 56 John Lea Road died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Durham.
Born March 28, 1914, in Caswell County, he was the son of Mr. Thomas Lea and Mrs. Cora Rudd Lea, both deceased. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from the Stafford Company as a shipping clerk. He was a member of High Rock Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Miss Patricia Lea, Miss Wanda Lea and Miss Jacqueline Lea, all of Durham, and Mrs. Dorothy Long of Burlington; five sons, Mr. Thomas Lea, Mr. William Lea, Mr. George Lea and Mr. Jack Lea, all of Durham, and Mr. Jerome McPhaul of Dunwoody, Ga.; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at High Rock Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert Broadnax. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at the church one hour before the service, and at other times at the home.

GRAHAM - Mr. Hans E. Kaucher, 78, of 5406 Thompson Mill Road died at 6:18 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 1997, at his home after an illness of three months.
A native of Arnstadt, Germany, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Nancy Brown Kaucher, and the son of Mr. Karl Kaucher and Mrs. Margarete W. Kaucher, both deceased. He was retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James (Margarete) Graham of Burlington; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at Pine Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Michael G. Dunning, assistant rector of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter.
