GEORGE BRAXTON FUTRELL, Jr. 58, passed away August 14, 2003. Mr. Futrell was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church of Raleigh. He worked for North Carolina State Department of Transportation for the Rail Division inspecting rail road crossing. He was a member of the "Fork" Hunting Club, in Warren County.

Mr. Futrell is survived by his wife, Verne Davis Futrell of Garner; daughter, Leigh Anne Creech and husband Shay of Raleigh; sister, Serena Futrell Matthews and husband Jack of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 9:00 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park.

MRS. BEVIE DUNN LEE, age 87, of Garner died Monday at Wake Medical Center. Mrs. Lee was born icon in Johnston County to the late Erastus and Louie Adams Dunn. She was the widow of Erastus Lee.

Her funeral has been scheduled for Thursday afternoon, 2 p.m., at Stones Creek Church. Burial to follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery.

Surviving are daughter, Clara Blackmon and husband, Bobby of Benson; sons, Sherwood Lee and wife, Lana Sue of Lauren, SC, Stacy Lee of Clayton, Larry Lee and wife, Sandi of Clayton; foster son, John Otte of Clayton; sister, Clara Adams of Four Oaks; long — time friend and companion, Roy Lee of Clayton; pet dog, Bruno; 12 grandchildren; seven great — grandchildren; eight step grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at Minshew Funeral Home Wednesday from 7 — 9 p.m.

WILLIAM BEN "BENNY" LEE, 45, of 909 Indian Creek Trail, died Tuesday at Rex Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hope Fellowship Baptist Church, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Fuquay — Varina.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Lee; daughters, Samatha Lee of Holly Hill, SC, Candace Clark of Garner; son, Jonathan Lee of Garner; parents, Ben and Geraldine Lee of Willow Springs; sister, Barbara Anthe and her husband Bill of Willow Springs; grandson, Erik Burnette; nephews, Sawyer and Zimmer Anthe.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mae Lee and Mavis Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. today at Bryan — Lee Funeral Home, Garner.

Infant Gabriel Aaron Ludlum

Supply — Gabriel Aaron Ludlum age 3 months of Supply died March 21, 2011.

Gabriel was born icon in Brunswick County on November 30, 2010 and was the son of Nicholas and Rebecca Ludlum. Survivors in addition to his parents include two sisters, Destiny and Alfreda Ludlum of the home; grandparents, Andy and Demona Ludlum of Supply, Rita Kincaid of Supply, Keith Eaker of Asheboro; great grandparents, John D. Robinson of Supply and Ralph Kincaid of Oak Island.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 26, 2011 at 11 am at Union Chapel Church, Boones Neck Road, Supply with Pastor Michael Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearer will be Gabriel’s Uncle Bobby Kincaid.

The family will receive friends from 6 — 8 Friday evening at Peacock — Newnam & White funeral service, 1411 N. Howe Street.

Peggy Webb Krobatsch

Southport — Mrs. Peggy Webb Krobatsch age 76 of Southport died Friday February 25, 2011 at her home.

Peggy was born icon April 30, 1934 in Bennettsville, SC and was the daughter of the late Arthur D. and Kate McCaskill Anderson. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Webb and four brothers, Mack David Anderson, James Otis Anderson, George Melvin Anderson, Robert Martin Anderson and a sister, Margaret Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, George Krobatsch of the home ; three daughters, Linda Franklin and husband Howie of Oak Island, Jackie McPherson and husband Dale of Southport, Vickie Potter and husband Donnie of Southport; five grandchildren, Rachel, Jesse, Sarah McPherson, Josh Potter, Adam Franklin; a sister, Inez Cribb of Laurinburg.

A memorial service will be held Monday February 28, 2011 at 11am at Southport Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Pittman officiating.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to Lower Cape Fear Hospice especially nurse Mary for the excellent care given to Peggy during her illness.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice C/O Brunswick County facility 1414 Physicians Dr. Wilmington, NC 28401

Jason Allan Slager

Southport — Mr. Jason Allan Slager age 39 of Southport died Thursday February 24, 2011.

Jason was born icon in Suffolk County, New York on November 17, 1971 and was the son of Allan Slager and wife Noreen of Wilmington and Donna Albertson and husband Garrett of Southport. He was a Chef for many local restaurants in the Southport community.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his daughter, Sara Antoinette Slager of Huntington, NY; brothers and sisters, Cara Slager of Southport, Timothy Slager of Southport, Kevin Davis of Atlanta, Ga., Valerie Crandall of Wilmington, Scott Albertson of Nellysford, Va., Stephen Albertson of Greenfield, Ma., Mark Albertson of Seattle, Wa.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 26, 2011 at 3pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, Southport with Reverend Garrett Albertson officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Southport — Oak Island Food Pantry, 249 West Boiling Spring Road, Southport, NC 28461 or the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org

Bett McSwain Rogers

Southport — Bett McSwain Rogers age 80 of Southport died April 23, 2012 at her home

Mrs. Rogers was born icon in Davidson County, NC on January 28, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Walter Carl McSwain and Ruth Everhart McSwain. She was a very talented artist entering many art shows in the surrounding areas. She was a member of the Associated Artist of Southport.

She is survived by a brother, Larry McSwain of High Point, NC; a nephew, Michael McSwain and wife Clare of Kernersville, NC and her faithful canine companion, Gabriel.

No services are planned.
