Frances Newsome Trafficanti
March 17, 1931 – December 29, 2011
Frances Newsome Trafficanti, 80, of Wilson died Thursday. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway. The Rev. Steve Strickland will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home immediately following the service and other times at 1908 Forest Hills Road, Wilson.
She was a Korean War era Veteran and retired as a registered nurse from Wilson Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Trafficanti is survived by a son, John “Mickey” Trafficanti and wife, Brenda of Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Joanne N. Pugh and partner, Woody Stancil of Wilson; a brother, William H. “Billy” Newsome of Smithfield and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest M. and Ruth Etta Langley Newsome; a grandson, Jonathan L. Pierce and a brother, George M. Newsome.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to WilMed Hospice, 1705 Tarboro Street SW, Wilson, NC 27893.

Barbara Johnson Lawrence
July 26, 1943 – February 8, 2012
Barbara Johnson Lawrence, 68, of Wilson passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Black Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Ezzell and Pastor Travis Moore will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, and other times at 474 Nor-Am Road, Pikeville.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Lawrence and wife, Wanda of Wilson, Jeff Lawrence and wife, Sandra of Nashville, Chuck Lawrence of Wilson, Barbara Lynn Godwin and husband, Michael of Pikeville, and Brenda Diann Lawrence, of Pikeville; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters, Judy Webb and husband, Russell, and Lynda McKeel and husband, David all of Wilson, and a brother, Tommy Connor and wife, Judy of Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Watson Lawrence and her parents, Ollie Connor and Louise J. Conner.

William T. “Bill” Hill, Jr.
September 1, 1943 – December 4, 2011
William Thomas “Bill” Hill, Jr., 68, of Wilson died Sunday. Masonic Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.
Mr. Hill was Master Elect of Stantonsburg Masonic Lodge, a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge #40 of Raleigh, a member of Wilson Masonic Lodge, a member of the Sudan Shriners, past Captain of the Sudan Horse Patrol, past President of the Wilson County Shrine Club, a member of the Wilson Moose Lodge and a member of the American Legion Post #13.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Linda Lynch Hill of Wilson, and a son, Brian Thomas Hill of Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 403 East Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560.

Phyllis Phillips Bissette
March 7, 1947 – December 1, 2011
Phyllis Phillips Bissette, 64, of Bailey died Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at New Sandy Hill FWB Church. The Rev. Paul Nicholson will officiate. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7 – 9 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at 6010 Edge Street, Bailey.
Mrs. Bissette, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, was a retired teacher’s assistant with the Wilson County Schools, and was a Sunday School teacher at New Sandy Hill FWB Church. She dearly loved her children, especially her grandchildren and loved her Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Bissette is survived by her husband, Callie Bissette; three sons, Corey Bissette and wife, Janet of Wendell, Charles Bissette, and Matthew Bissette both of Bailey; four grandchildren, Megan Bissette, Alex Bissette, Anna Bissette and Mackenzie Bissette; two sisters, Edith Howell and Dora Carter both of Bailey; a brother, Henry Phillips and wife, Bernice of Bailey; a sister-in-law, Beth Frazier and husband, Bob of Bailey; a brother-in-law, John Aycock of Bailey, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. and Annie Lee Pope Phillips; a sister, Peggy Aycock; two brothers-in-law, Fred Howell and Joe Carter.

William Regan Heath
May 30, 1965 – January 14, 2012
William Regan Heath, 46, of Stantonsburg died Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 711 Phillips Rd., Kinston, NC. Interment will follow in the Edwin Owens Cemetery, Saratoga. Pastor Brian Rogers, Pastor Roland Harrell, and Pastor Jim Forehand will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Kinston, and other times will be at 7243 Gardners School Rd., Stantonsburg.
Regan proudly served his country in the United States Army for four years and worked as a truck driver until his illness.
Surviving are his wife Rose Jones Heath; a daughter, Jennah Heath of LaGrange; a son, Jared Heath of Hookerton; a step-daughter, Ashley Jones and husband Chris of Wilson; a step-son, Darrell Jones of Stantonsburg; four grandsons, Jaymison Marshburn and Tanner Marshburn both of LaGrange, and Austin Jones and Trent Jones both of Wilson; two sisters, Cheryl Harrison and husband Jerry of Hookerton, and Jonnette Shultz and husband Matt of Ponca City, OK; a brother, Shelton Heath and wife Sonja of Grifton; one niece, Amanda Shultz of Ponca City, OK; seven nephews, Kriston Brown and wife Amanda of Rome, NY, Bronson Brown of Maysville, Cody Heath of Grifton, Dalton Shultz and Jacob Shultz both of Ponca City, OK, Justin Harrison of Hampstead, and Corey Harrison of Kinston; and two great-nephews, Dylan Brown and Lucas Brown both of Rome, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Roberta Elizabeth "Bobbie" Lee Heath.

F. E. “Frank” Joyner
August 8 1945 – January 7, 2012
Franklin Ernest “Frank” Joyner, 66, of Wilson died Saturday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Billy Davis. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at 1904 Downing St.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Boswell Joyner; two sons, Chris Joyner and Jonathan Joyner and wife Kristi all of Wilson; two granddaughters, Destinee Joyner and Taylor Joyner; two grandsons, Tyler Joyner and Jonathan Joyner, Jr.; two sisters, Zura Scott and husband, Jimmy of Wilson and Alice Hock and husband Maurice of Franklinton; three brothers, Offie Joyner and wife Laverne, and Albert Joyner, all of Franklinton and Clyde Joyner of Smithfield, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Jessie May Patterson Joyner and five brothers and one sister.
Margaret Jomp Iradi
March 29, 1923 – December 22, 2011
Margaret Jomp Iradi, 88, of Wilson died Thursday. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Dr. Doug Murray will officiate.
The family will receive friends 12 – 2 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Mrs. Iradi is survived by two sons, Wayne Iradi of Wilson and Stanley Iradi and wife, Dianne of Fuquay-Varina; two granddaughters, Gwynne Iradi Griffin of Holly Springs and Karen Iradi of Wilson; two grandsons, Jonathon Iradi of Greensboro and Jeffrey Iradi of Fuquay-Varina; two great-grandchildren, Katie Griffin and Bryce Griffin both of Holly Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Iradi; her parents, Clyde and Mamie Spell Jomp.
