Barbara Jean Carter Morris, 65, of 7012 Chestnut Cove, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005. Barbara Jean was born June 25, 1940 in Dalton, Georgia to the late Donald and Elizabeth Edwards Bahr.
Memorial Service: 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Genesis Pentecostal Holiness Church, 6724 Hankinson Road, Wendell, NC 27591, with Reverend Adam Blackmon officiating.

Raleigh - Hixon Bradley “Gunny” Knapp, Jr., 68, of 5536 Grasshopper Road, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at his home after a courageous battle with mylofibrosis. Hixon was born in Edgerton, Wisconsin on April 17, 1937. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years and after retirement was a United States Federal Marshall. Gunny was also a truck driver for MG Industries of Wake Forest.

Military burial at sea at a later date.

Harvey Reginald Hocutt, Jr., “CODY BLUE”, 53, of 154 Highway 68, of Jackson, Louisiana, died May 31, 2005 at Earl K. Long Medical Center. Harvey, Jr. was born on March 4, 1952 to the late Harvey Reginald Hocutt, Sr. and Mary Hocutt Hocutt. He was a retired cab owner and driver in the Baton Rouge area.

Raleigh - Lecolia Liles Edwards, 91, of 3633 Tarheel Club Road, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005. Lecolia was born in Wake County on April 11, 1914 to the late Burtis Liles and Manie Massey Liles. She worked for 20 years at Rex Hospital as a Nursing Assistant.

Surviving:Sisters, Edna Liles Taylor of Raleigh,
Marguerite Liles LaCounte of Knightdale; Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lecolia was preceded in death by her husband, Zachariah Allison Edwards.

Walter Harold Davis, 80, of 1111 Hodge Road, died Friday, June 3, 2005 at his home. Walter was born December 7, 1924 in Johnston County to the late C.J. Davis and Verna Stephenson Davis. He served his country in the US Army in World War II, and retired from N.C. State University in the crop science department with 40 years of service. Walter was a member of Beacon Baptist Church.

Murray Gray Davis, 83, of 2512 Auburn-Knightdale Road, died Friday evening, June 17, 2005, at Wake Medical Center. Mr. Davis was born in Martin County on June 21, 1921 to the late William Mack and Lula Davis. He had retired from Wake County Public Schools with the maintenance department. Mr. Davis served his country in the Navy during World War II.
