Dorothy Mae Huneycutt
(August 24, 1933 - October 8, 2011)

Dorothy Huneycutt, age 78 of Albemarle, passed away on October 8, 2011 at the Lutheran Home.

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Sunday, October 9 from 6pm until 8pm.

At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter, Carol Jones.

The funeral service will be held in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel on Monday at 2pm, officiated by Pastor Bob Gruver.

Burial will follow at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Richfield.

Ms. Huneycutt was born in Stanly County on August 24, 1933, to the late Hoyle and Flossie Mae Greene Fraley.

She is also preceded in death by her twin sister, Doris Sides; brothers, Roy and Wayne Fraley.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Jones and husband Gary of Albemarle; sister, Lorene Vanhoy of Albemarle; grandchildren, Haley Jones Stewart and husband Brian of Albemarle and Caleb Jones of Albemarle; great-grandchild, Carter Greyson Stewart of Albemarle.

Memorials may be made to First Assembly Missions, 1501 NC 24/27 Byp W, Albemarle, NC 28001.

Elfriede Maria Wood
(March 2, 1945 - March 13, 2011)

Elfriede Maria Finger Wood, 66, of 388 Pitt School Road Concord passed away on Sunday March 13, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.

She was born on March 2, 1945 in Germany to the late Otto and Maria Finger. Elfriede was a homemaker.

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 6 until 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 2 PM, with Rev. Cha officiating.

She is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Calvin Lesperance Wood of the home; sons, Steven Wood of the home, Calvin Wood and wife Hyon of Concord; granddaughter, Maria Wood; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Bourbonniere.

Joyce Haywood Anguzza
(October 11, 1941 - September 18, 2011)

Our precious mother, Joyce Haywood Anguzza, 69, of Concord went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord after several years of declining health.

She was born on October 11, 1941 in Montgomery County to the late Barney Haywood and Pauline Eleitha Haywood Menius.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Louis Anguzza.

The family meeting place will be at the home of son Kevin Anguzza.

A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Tuesday, September 20th from 6 until 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Bright Light Baptist Church 954 Old Charlotte Road Concord on Wednesday, September 21st at 2 PM following a 30 Min. state, with Dr. Ronnie Simpson and Pastor Joel Ervin officiating.

Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle.

She is survived by: son, Kevin Anguzza and wife Lisa of Concord; two daughters, Erica Anguzza Johnson and husband Derrick of Salisbury, and Tonya Anguzza Boykin and husband Cecil of Concord; grandchildren Kevin (Anna) Anguzza, Jr., Katie Coley, Travis Coley, Sarah Johnson, and Jacob Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Keira Coley and Khloe Anguzza; brothers, Gene (Shirley) Haywood of Wilmington and Coy Lee (Nancy) Haywood of Sanford; sister, Sybil (Buck) Helms of Concord.

The family would like to personally thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU department of CMC-NorthEast for all their support and professionalism during these trying times.

Phillip Edward McIntyre
(November 14, 1957 - September 25, 2011)

Phillip “Phil” Edward McIntyre, age 53 of Norwood, passed away on September 25, 2011 at his home, with his family by his side.

The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Tuesday, September 27 from 6pm until 8pm.

At other times the family will meet at his home in Norwood.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 2pm at Aquadale Baptist Church, officiated by Pastors Craig Scott and Nathan Fox.

There will be a 30 minute state before the funeral service.

Burial will follow at Aquadale Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. McIntyre was born in Stanly County on November 14, 1957 to George “GE” Emory McIntyre and Sybil Anne Efird McIntyre.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, George E. and Jeneece Boone McIntyre; maternal grandparents, Wilbur S. and Ila Carpenter Efird.

He is survived by very special family friends, Danny and Julie Poplin of Norwood and their children, D.J. and Presley; very special neighbors, Samantha and Rodney Burris.

Memorials may be made to Aquadale Baptist Church, c/o Church Organ Fund, 32871 Church Street, Norwood, NC 28128.

Caroline Mae Hutchins
(August 14, 1959 - September 22, 2011)

Caroline Mae Hutchins, 52, of Concord was called home by her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2011 from injuries sustained from a one vehicle accident.

Caroline was born on August 14, 1959 in Bowman, North Dakota, the daughter of Lawrence and Rosella Zika of Billings, Montana.

She was preceded in death by George and Caroline Zika, Grandma Mae and Raymond Larson.

Caroline was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.

She was employed as Cafeteria manager at Weddington Hills Elementary School and church hostess at First Baptist Church of Concord.

Caroline cherished spending time with her family, participating in church activities, cooking, and making crafts.

The family meeting place will be at the home.

A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Saturday, October 1st from 6 until 7 PM.

Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 7 PM, with Rev. Rod Denny, Rev. Jason Almond, and Rev. David Canfield officiating.

She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Herbert Louis Hutchins, Sr. of the home; children, Herbert Hutchins, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Kannapolis, Bethany Hutchins, Brenda Hutchins, Derek Hutchins and wife Meredith, Joshua Hutchins; primary caregiver and step-daughter, Jodi Hutchins all of Concord; step-daughter, Jennifer Foley and husband John of Billings, Montana; brothers, Joseph Zika and wife Tina of Camano Island, Washington, Daniel Zika and wife Leah of Battleground, Washington; sister, Elizabeth Zika of Concord; four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family wishes to send a huge gratitude of thanks to her Oncologist, Dr. Schwartz and staff of NorthEast Oncology Associates for going above and beyond in caring for Caroline.
