Rhett Sanders

Rhett Ambroise Sander, 29, of Belfield, ND, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 near New England, ND. In accordance with Rhett's wishes, cremation has taken place and servies will be held at a later date in Canada.

Katherine Keller

Funeral Mass for Katherine Keller, 82, of Dickinson, will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson, with Father Keith Streifel celebrating.

Visitation for Katherine will be from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 25th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson, with a rosary and vigil service being held at 7:00 p.m.

Katherine passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson.

Katherine Ceila Keller was born May 21, 1932 in Taylor, ND to Joseph and Mary (Kraft) Faulhaber. She grew up and went to school in Taylor, before moving to Dickinson in 1947. Katherine like to be called Kay and she was united in marriage to George C. Keller on June 21, 1949. They raised five boys, Gary (Gabes), Eugene, Ronald, Alvin and Allan. Kay worked as a waitress and a chef until moving to Kentucky to help take care of Ron and Rita’s two girls, which she enjoyed very much, while they worked. She moved back to Dickinson in 2008, where she lived out her life. Kay enjoyed listening to country music, playing bingo, card games and word search to pass the time. Kay always loved visits from her kids and grandkids.

Katherine is survived by three sons; Gene (Linda) and Alvin (Lisa) of Dickinson, Allan (Darlene) of Rapid City, SD; 13 grandchildren, Chad, Codi, Joshua, Eric, Dustin, Melinda, Amanda, Courtney, Bailey, Jesse, Alex, Alisha, Fayth; 8 great-grandchildren, Zach, Pier, Craig, Kelar, Mikaylee, Jesse, Jordan and Deegan; two sisters; Mary Bren of Dickinson and Rose Collins of CA.

Katherine is proceeded in death by her parents; husband, George; two sons, Gary and Ron Keller; two daughter-in-laws, Rita and Sharon Keller; four brothers and two sisters.

Faye Koenig

Funeral Service for Faye Koenig, 65, of Baker, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the American Lutheran Church, Baker, with Pastors Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will follow at the Ollie Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m.

Faye passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at her home north of Baker.

Faye Arlene Koenig was born January 6, 1950 in Beach, ND to Bob and Evelyn (Hartse) Morrison. She grew up with her younger sister, Donna on the family ranch by Ollie, MT.

Faye went to grade school at Ollie and later attended high school at Baker where she graduated in 1968. She then moved to Dickinson, ND where she attended Dickinson State University and graduated with a business degree in 1972.

Faye moved back to the family ranch and substitute taught at Baker until she started working as a clerk in the Fallon County Treasurer’s office in 1973. She held that position until she was elected as the Fallon County Treasurer in 1975. She continued her dedicated service as treasurer for the next 35 years. She was able to meet new and dear friends during her time with Fallon County.

Faye met and married the love of her life, Dennis Koenig, September 15, 1973. To this union three children were born; Dustin, Darin, and Denise. Dennis and Faye eventually made their home at Faye’s family ranch. She loved the country life and being outdoors. She enjoyed animals, especially anything that involved horses, dogs, and cats. She loved working cows and the ranch way of life.

Faye’s children and grandchildren were a huge part of her life. She loved them very much and enjoyed supporting them in their activities. She always wanted to be a part of everything they were involved in and was proud of all their achievements. Her favorite time was when her family could gather together and spend time with each other.

Faye was an active member and supporter of 4-H for the last 40 years. She has been the club leader of Country Pals for the past 24 years. Faye held a special place in her heart for all her “4-H kids”.

She loved visiting with everyone she met, especially with the people who came through the treasurer’s office. She always had something good to say about everyone; her smile and warmth will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; son Darin (Johnna) Koenig and daughter Denise (Tyler) Noll; mother, Evelyn Morrison; her grandchildren Tina, Travis, Taylyn, Terrell; Kaelei, Logan, Kaden, Harlee, Jocelyn, Brady; Kinsley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Kandi Koenig; her father, Bob Morrison; her sister Donna Morrison; and her sister-in-law Bev Koenig and brother-in-law Ralph Koenig.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to a fund they have established in Faye’s name, to benefit the area 4H programs.

Erna O'Donnell

Funeral Mass for Erna O’Donnell, 95, of Baker, will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Baker with Father Thomas Tobin celebrating. Burial will follow in the Old St. John’s Cemetery.

Visitation for Erna will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker, with rosary and vigil service being held at 7:00 p.m.

Erna passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Superior Care in Baker, MT.

Erna O’Donnell was born June 12, 1919, the daughter of Edward and Pauline (Pietzke) Koenig on the family homestead near Plevna/Baker, MT. She attended Crow Country School, and helped her mother in taking care of her 9 brothers and sisters. Erna married Robert C. O’Donnell on November 2, 1941 in Baker, MT. To this union four children were born: Jim, Ray, Karen and Susan. Bob entered the United States Army during World War II and served at Wendover Field, UT. In 1945 Bob and Erna returned to the Baker area and in 1956 settled on the north edge of town where they raised their 4 kids.

In 1991 they moved into a new home in Baker of which they were very proud of. Bob passed away in 1994 and Erna lived there for 12 more years. Erna worked at Mountain Bell Telephone Company for 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and embroidering pillow cases and dish towels. Many young couples received these as wedding gifts.

Bob and Erna traveled to Minnesota every year to see her two sisters, Sophie and Alvina. They also went on bus trips in the U.S. and to Canada for the Calgary Stampede. Erna lived 95 years seeing lots of changes and her stories of family and local history were very interesting. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart and willingness to help friends and family.

Erna is survived by her children, Jim (Jane) O’Donnell of Miles City, MT, Raymond (Mary Ann) O’Donnell of Glendive, MT, Karen O’Donnell-Davis of Dayton, MT, and Susan (Doug) Cox of Baker, MT; 6 grandchildren, Carrie, Kelly, Jamie, Allison, Robby and Danae, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; granddaughter, Janelle O’Donnell; son-in-law, Lou Davis and all of her siblings.

Family thanks Michelle and staff at Superior Care for their kind care of mom.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to Superior Care Villa or the O’Fallon Museum in Baker.

Edgar Beyers

Edgar Beyers, 99, of Dickinson, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Dickinson, ND. In accordance with Edgar’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Edgar Paul Beyers was born July 10, 1915 to Adam and Lena Beyer in Hebron, N D. He grew up and attended school in Hebron. On April 29, 1938 he married Wilda Mindt. They had three children, Russel (Susan), Tuscon, AZ, Sandra (Gordon Schnell) Dickinson, ND and Kathi (Bill Leap) Shawnee Mission, KS. Edgar became manager of the Dickinson Elks Club in 1948. At that time he started serving food at the Elks Club in Dickinson. This was very successful and the 1137 steak became known statewide. In 1962, Edgar and Wilda moved to Grand Forks, ND where he became manager of the Grand Forks Elks Club. Upon retirement in 1976 they moved to Bismarck, N D. In 2007, they moved to Dickinson. Edgar was an avid left handed golfer and enjoyed having a cup of coffee with his friends.

Edgar was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda, in 2014. He is survived by his three children, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Elaine Bjornson and Lila Mae Hermes. He was preceded in death by numerous siblings.

The family will gather at a later date to celebrate the lives of Edgar and Wilda.

Memorials are preferred to Elks Camp Grassick, 833 Grassick Lane, Dawson, ND 58428

Angelique "Angie" McDuffee Spencer

Funeral services for Angelique “Angie” McDuffee Spencer, 35, of Dickinson, will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Rice Funeral Home in Genoa, NE.

Angie passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at CHI St. Joseph’s Health in Dickinson.

Pamela Williams

Funeral services for Pamela Jean Williams, 49, of Dickinson will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Hessler officiating.

Visitation for Pamela will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson.

Pamela passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Essentia Health in Fargo.

Pamela was born June 16, 1965 in Coon Rapids, MN, the daughter of John and Kathleen (Peterson) Williams. She grew up and attended school in Minnesota. Pam and Jose Treviño were blessed with a daughter Paula in 1982. Pam graduated top of her class and began her CNA career in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Pam and Paula ventured to their home in Dickinson in 1989. Pam happily continued work as a CNA for 16 years. She cared for many wonderful patients at St. Luke’s and St. Benedict’s.

Pam enjoyed attending the Bike Rally in Sturgis, SD. She loved pink roses, road trips, watching football games, and 80s rock music. She had an unforgettable laugh, was stubborn and strong but loved to make others smile. She gave every bit of her giant carebear heart to anyone she loved but her biggest joy in life was having a grandbaby.

Pam is survived by husband, Gary Batchelor; her father, John Williams of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Paula Williams of Dickinson, ND; brothers, Steven (Stephen Pavlica) Williams and Mark Williams both of Phoenix, AZ and one granddaughter, Reina Kattalin Williams. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Williams; Papa, Norman Fink; brother, Michael Williams and sister, Shelly Williams.
