Selma I. Ehli
Selma I. Ehli, 86, Cheyenne, ND, died Tuesday at Cheyenne Healthcare.
She was born June 5, 1920 in Expansion, ND and had lived in Cheyenne for eight years with prior residence of seven years in Richardton, ND and forty-two years on the family ranch.
Mrs. Ehli was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and AARP.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Carol Ehli, Moore, OK, a daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Michael Rushing, Cheyenne, ND, a brother, Albert Wittmayer, Hazen, ND, two sisters - Frieda Lukins, Pick City, ND and Earna Sailer, Hazen, one grandchild, three step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and three sisters-in-law - Shirley Ehli and Frieda Ehli both of Arizona and Mary Ehli, Kansas.
Mrs. Ehli was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Ehli, Jr. December 25, 1998; two sons - Ronald Ehli and Robert Ehli; a daughter, Darlene Ehli; six brothers and two sisters.
She loved to play bingo and do crafts and had the unique ability of being loved by all that met her.
Visitation was Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel in Cheyenne.
Services were Saturday 10:00 a.m. at Golgotha Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, ND and interment followed in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Seibel Funeral Home.

Doreen Libbey
Doreen V. "Vicki" Libbey, 62, Livingston, died at her home Tuesday, May 22, 2007.
Her Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Dale Yurkovic officiated.
Cremation followed the Mass. Arrangements were under the direction of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
Vicki was born February 21, 1945 in Hebron, North Dakota, the daughter of Frank and Mathilda (Jose) Kokot. She spent her early life and attended schools there before moving with her mother to Livingston where she completed her education.
On September 19, 1960 she married Channell T. "Chan" Libbey, II. They made Livingston their home and Vicki became devoted to raising and nurturing their family.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Chapter BW of the PEO Sisterhood, the Ladies of the Elks Auxiliary and the Livingston Golf and Country Club.
Vicki always enjoyed having fun playing golf, fishing or just driving her little red convertible. She was the consummate shopper and always savored the pursuit of the latest fashions in clothing and jewelry. As an accomplished seamstress and knitter she provided many clothes for her children as they were growing up.
She was a masterful cook whose motto was "I love you, eat", never letting anyone go hungry. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling. Vicki opened her heart to many and will be remembered for her incredible kindness and love of life. She was greatly loved by many and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and step-father, Martin Monson, brother Walter Kokot and sister Gertrude Bleth.
Survivors include her husband, Chan Libbey, II, Livingston; two sons, Channell T. (Pam) Libbey, III, Paradise Valley and Brennan O'Neil (Julie) Libbey, Venice, CA; three daughters - Cassandra Mary (James) Osborn, Missoula, Tamara Kae Libbey (Dennis Curtin), St. Croix, USVI and Wendla Sue (Erik) Hoiness, Livingston.
She also leaves three granddaughters - Layne Fisher, Lydia Wilcox and Ava Libbey and a grandson, William Chan Hoiness, expected soon; a brother Frank (Kathy) Kokot, Livingston; two sisters - Frances (Benny) Becker, Mandan, ND and Mary (Ernie) Schantz, Hebron, ND; her mother-in-law, Mary Libbey, Bozeman, MT and numerous nieces and nephews.
If so desired, memorials may be directed to PEO Chapter BW, c/o Dawn Basini, 2742 E River Road, Livingston, MT 59047.

Jim Spitzer
Myron "Jim" Spitzer, 77, Hebron, died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at the Richardton Healthcare Center.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. CT at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Hebron.
Visitation was Monday after 4:00 p.m. at the church with vigil services at 7:00 p.m. Military Rites were held in Hebron by the Henry Biffert Post #100 of the American Legion.
Burial was held in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.
Jim was born January 31, 1930 on a farm in rural Baldwin, the son of Laundina (Spitzer) Kemph. He was raised in Bismarck and attended Bismarck High and Bismarck State College before graduating from Bemidji State University with a teaching degree in social studies and physical education.
He married Dolores Weinberger, August 21, 1954 at Mandan.
Jim began his teaching career at Stirum, ND. In 1956 he moved to Tappen, where he assumed the athletic administrators duties as well as teaching and coaching.
In 1961 Jim accepted a teaching and coaching position in Hebron, ND. While his contributions to the teams and individual athletes in basketball, baseball and track were significant, it was football where Jim and the Brickmakers made their mark.
His teams posted an impressive 24 consecutive game winning streak and two undefeated seasons, racking up five conference titles during his tenure as head coach.
He was recognized several times during his career in education. He was named Coach of the Year, Driver Education Teacher of the Year and was nominated to the North Dakota Football Coaches Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the North Dakota Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Hall of Fame.
He retired from teaching in 1990 after teaching for 29 years in the Hebron School District.
Jim’s hobbies included hunting for trophy deer, fishing, gardening and his beautiful array of flowers.
His contributions to the Hebron community were many - from leading the drive to rebuild the Recreation Complex in Hebron, to serving with the Lions for over 25 years. He was chairman of the Fall Festival for many years and served as president and secretary of the Lions.
Jim was a lifetime member of the Elks and a 45-plus year member of the American Legion.
The military played an important role in Jim’s life. Jim served in the US Air Force for three years and was a 28 year member of the North Dakota National Guard and the United States Army Reserve.
He was an instructor at the Army Engineering School in Ft. Belvoir, VA, at the US Army Command General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, KS and at the University of Nevada- Reno.
Jim’s military career ended in 1982 when he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Those most grateful for having shared in his life are his wife of 53 years, Dolores, Hebron; four daughters - Colleen (Steve) Crowell, Gillette, WY, Karen Spitzer, LaCrosse, WI, Jimmie (Donovan) Johnson, Breckenridge, MN and Kim (Kevin) Erickson, Fargo.
Jim also leaves seven granddaughters of whom he was so proud - Stephanie, Katie, Avri, Kelsey, Tara, Shauna and Ashley and finally, one great grandson, Dino James.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother.

Richard Schirado
Richard Schirado, 84, Glen Ullin, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin. The Rev. Sebastian Schmidt officiated.
Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Richard was born July 30, 1922 on the family farm 14 miles northeast of Glen Ullin, the son of Anton and Katie (Rausch) Schirado.
He was raised on the farm and educated at Union School.
Richard married Josephine Filibeck August 29, 1944 at Sacred Heart in Glen Ullin. Following their marriage they farmed for many years, some were good, some not so good.
In 1978 they built a new home in Glen Ullin and in 1979 moved into town. At that time Dick took over the farm.
Richard operated a saw sharpening business, enjoyed woodworking and created many items. He was a board member of the Union School District for over 20 years and a charter member of the Glen Ullin Weighing Assn.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Josie, Glen Ullin and his children - Judy (Phil) Miller, Topeka, KS; Lila (James) Dixon, Colorado Springs, CO; SanDee (Howard) Wehri, Dick (Debbie) Schirado, all of Glen Ullin;
Mischelle Schirado, Bismarck; Gaylen (Tammy) Schirado, Bonners Ferry, ID and Carmen (Pat) Arthur, Vancouver, WA.
He also leaves 17 grand children, six great grandchildren with one on the way.
He is also survived by two brothers - Mike (Gerry) and Thomas (Kathy), all of Glen Ullin and three sisters - Pearl Voegele, Mandan, ND, Gen Karlin, Cool, CA and Lena Sorenson, Yuma, AZ.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Tony, Lester, and Harry and two sisters - Katherine and Joan.
Spangelo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mike Glasser
Mike Glasser, 81, Glen Ullin, died Thursday, June 21, 2006, in the Marian Manor Healthcare Center in Glen Ullin.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. CT Tuesday, June 26, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with Father Sebastian Schmidt OSB as Celebrant.
Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mike was born May 23, 1926 in the St. Joseph area south of Glen Ullin. He was the second of nine children of Alfonse and Rose (Emter) Glasser.
Mike grew up and attended School in the St. Joe area. After the eighth grade he helped his dad on the farm and raised registered Hereford cattle.
Mike loved horses and spent many hours training them. He worked at Lake Tschida, building the dam, from 1948-50.
He married Patsy Schantz, October 2, 1951 at Sacred Heart in Glen Ullin. Following their marriage they farmed for over 30 years in the St. Joe area, where they raised their five children.
In 1975, they moved into Glen Ullin, and retired from farming in 1980. Not ready to completely retire, Mike started a hobby business hauling livestock.
In 1999 Mike felt it would be good community service to open and operate a laundromat in Glen Ullin. The building burned in April of 1999, nearly claiming his life.
Mike enjoyed a good joke, especially telling it in German. He had a great love of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed time spent with them. His hobbies included traveling, fishing and a good rodeo.
Mike had been very active in his community. He belonged to the St. Joe Men’s Society, devoted third and fourth degree KC member, finance committee of Sacred Heart, treasurer of the rural school board, Glen Ullin Weighing Association, Glen Ullin Saddle Club, was a member of the Hebron Farmers Elevator board and was a brand inspector for many years.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife Patsy, Glen Ullin, three sons and daughters-in-law - Steve and Kim, Mark and Michelle and Patrick and Geralyn, all of Glen Ullin; two daughters and sons-in-law: Jane and Kevin Honeyman, Fargo, ND and Carla and Tim Meuchel, Glen Ullin.
He also leaves 12 grandchildren - Eric Glasser, Sarah (Chris) Filibeck, Brittani Glasser, Patrick (Rebecca) Glasser, Daniel Glasser, Beth Glasser and Nicole Glasser, Gary (Katie) Glasser, Kent Glasser, Jordan Honeyman, Brian Schirado and Adam Meuchel.
He is also survived by four brothers - Ted (Germaine), Bismarck, ND; Tony (Delphia), Glen Ullin, Isadore, Bismarck, ND; Martin (Audrey), Lewistown, ID and two sisters - Florence (Val) Himmelspach, Spokane, WA and Virgina (Rusty) Wilson, Dover, NH.
His parents and four brothers – John, Adolph, Andrew and Tony preceded him in death.
Spangelo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
