Kevin Fragodt
Kevin Fragodt, 36, Florence, Ariz., formerly of Maddock, died Nov. 2, 1998, in Florence. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 14 at North Viking Lutheran Church, Maddock. Further arrangements are pending with Nelson Funeral Home, Maddock.

Clarence Wagner
GLEN ULLIN -- Clarence Wagner, 77, Glen Ullin, died Nov. 3, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Arrangements are pending with Spangelo Funeral Home, Glen Ullin.

Donald Russell
RIVERDALE -- Donald V. Russell, 70, Riverdale, and formerly of Minot, died Nov. 3, 1998, at her home. Arrangements are pending with Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Harold Kulland
NEW TOWN -- Harold Kulland, 85, New Town, died Nov. 3, 1998, in a Minot hospital. Arrangements are pending with Johnson Funeral Home, New Town.

Leroy Eid
HAZEN -- Leroy Eid, 53, Hazen, died Oct. 7, 1996, at his home of natural causes. Arrangements are pending at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.

Robert Dittus
HEBRON -- Robert Dittus, 27, Hebron, died Oct. 5, 1996, in the Hazen hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MDT Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Hebron, with burial in the church cemetery. Military rites will be by Henry Biffert Post No. 100.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at the church, where a prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. today.

Robert was born Feb. 11, 1969, in Bismarck, the son of Larry and Margaret "Peggy" (Slag) Dittus. He moved with his family to Hebron in 1978. He entered the National Guard in 1986 while attending high school. He graduated in 1987. While in the military he served in Honduras. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War. Rob worked at a number of jobs, including work on his uncle's farm, truck driving and farming for himself. He was last employed by Schirado Excavation of Glen Ullin.

Rob was an extremely generous person who would freely give of his possessions and money, always putting the needs of others before his own needs.

He was a member of Hebron American Legion, National Rifle Association and a past Future Farmers of America member.

He is survived by his fiance, Stacey Affonso, Hebron; his parents, Larry and Peggy Dittus, Hebron; his grandparents, John and Marian Slag, and Alwina Dittus, Glen Ullin; two brothers, Steve, Omaha, Neb., and Doug, Bismarck; one sister, Tammy Matzke, Gillette, Wyo.; two nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather. (Spangelo Funeral Home, Hebron.

Rudolph Madche
CENTER -- Rudolph Madche, 70, rural Center, died Oct. 7, 1996, in his home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, with the Rev. Dave Baker officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rudolph was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Dodge, the son of Jacob and Mary Madche. He married Lois Kost on Sept. 19, 1958, in Everett, Wash. He worked for Snohomish County Road District and Boeing Aircraft in Washington, before moving back to North Dakota. He raised his family in Martin and Fessenden. In 1994, Rudy and Lois moved to Center.

Rudy's greatest loves were his family, friends and animals.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Mary and Ed Williams, Bismarck, Valerie and Ted Clement, Jordan, Minn., Amelia and Tobe Larson, Grand Forks, and Rachel Williams, Linton; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Shirley, Bismarck, Raymond and Anita, Ceiba, Puerto Rico, Kevin and Becky, Bismarck, and Joseph and Teresa, Menoken; six granddaughters; 14 grandsons; three sisters, Mary Bahnmiller, Emma Bahmiller, and Frieda Boden; and numerous nieces and nephews; and family and friends in Germany.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters; five brothers; one grandson, Mitch; and one granddaughter, Holly.

Joseph Weidert
NEW TOWN -- Joseph Weidert, 55, New Town, died Oct. 6, 1996, in a Minot hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, New Town, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, rural New Town.

He is survived by one brother, Wallace, Florence, Colo.; and one sister, Wanda Holt, New Town. (Johnson Funeral Home, New Town)

Corinne Hickey
BELFIELD -- Corinne E. Hickey, 88, Belfield, died Oct. 5, 1996, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Belfield, with burial in Belfield Lutheran Cemetery.

She is survived by four daughters, Joan and Jean Hickey, both of Belfield, Judith Hancock, Merrillan, Wis., and Janice Hlebechuk, Phoenix; three sons, James, Great Falls, Mont., John, Aurora, Ill., and Joel, Trenton, Mo.; and two brothers, Frank, Albuquerque, N.M., and Richard, Beaverton, Ore. (Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson)

Mark Wagner
BELFIELD -- Mark T. Wagner, 22, Belfield, died Oct. 5, 1996, in the Dickinson hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. MDT Tuesday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Belfield, and at 2 p.m. CDT Thursday at Basilica of St. James, Jamestown. Burial will be in Calgary Cemetery, Jamestown.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Wagner, Jamestown, his father, John Wagner, Belfield; one sister, Michelle Zuther, Buchanan; and one brother, Michael, Jamestown. (Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson)

Matthias Jarolimek
VESELEYVILLE -- Matthias E. Jarolimek, 81, Vaseleyville, died Oct. 5, 1996, in the Park River hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Veseleyville, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Angela; seven sons, Matt, Stanwood, Wash., Paul, Wenatchee, Wash., Kenneth, Bismarck, Arnold, Fargo, Alvin, Grand Forks, Craig, Forest River, and Earl, Fargo; one daughter, Theresa Kovarik, Wahpeton; one brother, Stephen, Pisek; and two sisters, Anna Kouba and Mary Schanilec, both of Pisek. Myrtle Norton
TIOGA -- Myrtle Norton, Tioga, died Oct. 7, 1996, in the Dickinson hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Tioga. Further arrangements are pending at Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Thomas Held
SELZ -- Thomas Held, 51, Iron Ridge, Wis., formerly of Selz, died Oct. 4, 1996, in a truck accident in Illinois. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Selz, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by two brothers, Ken, Minot, and Tim, Selz; and four sisters, Dawn Hall, Taylors, S.C., Betty Risinger, Sidney, Mont., Dianne Leien, West Bend, Wis., and Patty Lemer, Hazen. (Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey)

Lillian Evitt
WILLISTON -- Lillian Evitt, 66, Williston, died Oct. 7, 1996, in the Williston hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Williston. Further arrangements are pending at Everson Funeral Home, Williston.

Nona Mandigo
Nona Mandigo, 79, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, died March 24, 1998, in the nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Boelter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Peary Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation is ongoing at the funeral home.

Nona was born May 17, 1918, in Bismarck, the only child of Ole and Martha (Carrick) Anfinson. The family lived at Wing, where she attended elementary school. Nona moved to Bismarck with her family and completed her education, graduating from Bismarck High School in 1937. She then went to work for Hoskins-Meyer in the photo finishing department. She married Bruce C. Mandigo, Dec. 28, 1945, at McCabe Methodist Church. Bruce died Sept. 5, 1975. Nona continued working for Hoskins-Meyer Floral for over 50 years.

Nona enjoyed her family, flowers, gardening, cooking, traveling and visiting with friends and relatives. She was a member of McCabe United Methodist Church for all of her life, and belonged to a craft and sewing group for many years.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Daniel D. Wahlman, Center; three grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Bill Wahlman, Bismarck, Jim and Melissa Wahlman, Lakewood, Colo., and Dan Wahlman, Bismarck; one graet-grandson, Bruce Allen Wahlman, Lakewood, Colo.; and one lifelong friend, Helen Zietlow.

In addition to her husband, Bruce, Nona was preceded in death by her parents; and numerous friends and relatives.

The family prefers memorials to Alzheimer's Association, 411 N. Fourth St., Bismarck, or Medcenter One Hospice.

Madeline Schow
STANTON -- Madeline (Tooker) Schow, 91, Stanton, died March 23, 1998, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Stanton, with the Rev. Jay Spoonheim officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Regent Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Warren Skager, Marvin Dietz, Bill Beeks, Randy Thompson, Joseph Grannis and Lincoln Reinhiller.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. today at Seibel Funeral Home, Hazen.

Leah Madeline Tooker was born May 28, 1906, at Farina, Ill., a daughter of George and Laura (Switzer) Tooker. On July 9, 1923, she married Martin Schow at Regent. They homesteaded in Montana for a short time and moved to Stanton in 1923, where they began an airport and operated the Stanton Motor Co. They moved to a ranch south of Fort Clark until retirement in 1960, when they returned to Stanton. Martin died in August 1977. The things that Madeline held most precious were God, family, her dear friends and her cat, Missy. Madeline enjoyed playing Scrabble and cards with her friends, but sewing quilts occupied most of her time. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Stanton, and Stanton Senior Citizens.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lina and John Lamsters, Stanton; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Madeline was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; two daughters; and her husband.

Arne Boyum
Arne S. Boyum of Bismarck died in March 23, 1998, in Mesa, Ariz. of natural causes. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with burial in Carrington Cemetery.

He was born at "old" Keene, in McKenzie County on Sept. 18, 1918, to Dr. Peter A. and Manda (Martinson) Boyum. He moved to Harvey at a young age. Arne attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Harvey High School in 1936, and the University of North Dakota in 1940. He was an active member of Phi Delta Theta social fraternity. He taught and coached in Devils Lake from 1940-1942, and in Harlem, Mont. from 1946-1947. Arne served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942-1946. Arne married Cecilie Henry of Jamestown in 1942. While living in Carrington, he served on the school board, library board and the park board. He played a key role in upgrading the Carrington Golf Club from sand to grass greens. Hunting, fishing, tennis, swimming, church, woodworking, sketching and University of North Dakota athletics occupied his spare time.

As a lifelong Republican, he served three terms in the North Dakota House of Representatives. Arne was employed by Congress, Inc. for many years. He helped in establishing senior citizen clubs for North Dakota Lutheran Social Services. He served as executive director of the North Dakota League of Cities from 1972 until his retirement in 1986.

He is survived by his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arne and Janie, and Rolla and Kelley "Pat,", all of Fargo; one daughter and son-in-law, Katharine and Kurt Kuester, Jackson, Miss.; eight grandchildren, Rachel Boyum, Amanda and Tony Nelson, Brad and Jeff Boyum, Aaron, Jacob, Samuel and Benjamin Kuester; one great-grandchild, Taylor Nelson; and one brother, Lowell, Mandan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Tim.

The family prefers memorials to Bismarck YMCA, or the University of North Dakota Alumni Foundation. (Evans Funeral Home, Carrington)

Helen Caro
Helen Dorothy (Crimmins) Caro, 82, 709 Fourth St. N.W., Mandan, died March 24, 1998, at her home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with the Rev. Albert Leary officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan.

Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 tonight. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Friday.

Helen Dorothy Crimmins was born Jan. 20, 1916, in Hazelton. She was the daughter of Herman J. and Julia Blanks (Chamley) Crimmins. Helen was raised and educated in the Hazelton area. She married Louis Caro, July 21, 1965, in San Gabriel, Calif. They lived in California for 16 years. Helen was a licensed vocational nurse. She was a happy, caring person who always put others' needs before her own. She loved horses and looked forward each year to Horse Fest held in Taylor.

She is survived by her husband, Louis; one sister, Mary Ellen Hildebrand, Mandan; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Dave, Harris and Frank.
