Phillip Beck
MADDOCK -- Phillip Beck, 79, Maddock, died Jan. 17, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Maddock, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his twin brother, Stephen, Everett, Wash.; and a sister, Ida Olson, Minnewaukan. (Nelson Funeral Home, Maddock)

Victor G. Goudreaux
Victor G. Goudreaux, 44, Mobridge, S.D., died Jan. 18, 2001 in the Fort Yates hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. James Catholic Church, Porcupine, N.D., with the Rev. Terry Wipt, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation begins 6-9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Victor was born March 18, 1956 at Fort Yates to Milan and Alvina (Red Fox) Goudreaux. He was raised and educated in Porcupine. After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 27, 1974 to November 26, 1980. He had worked as a laborer for area farms and ranches and enjoyed pow-wows and rodeos. He is survived by a daughter, Fayette, Minot; four sisters, Marianne Krauser, Luella Harrison, Annette Goudreaux, Mayme Chapman; one brother, Harold Goudreaux, all of Porcupine; and a special friend, Deanna Crow Neckless, Mobridge, S.D. Victor was preceded in death by parents; one daughter, Heaven; two sisters, Margaret and Juanita; and a brother, Roger. (Perry Funeral Home, Mandan)

Donald Kimball
MINOT -- Donald Kimball, 70, Minot, died Jan. 15, 2001 in a Minot hospital. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot. Burial will be in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Anne; his sons, Dana, Harrisburg, Pa., Jay, Rochester, Minn., and Sandy, Minot; his daughters, Dianne Wolf, Kansas City, Kan., Shelley Perlichek, Lewistown, Mont., Lisa Wall, Sawyer, Patti Rylander, Surrey, and Janice Harbin, Oceanside, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; his sisters, Betty Swanson, Denair, Calif., Rhoda Nickel, Garrison, and Ethel Paro, Bothell, Wash. Nicole Martin
DUNN CENTER Ð Nicole Martin, 17, Dunn Center, died Jan. 17, 2001 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Services will be held at 2 p.m. CST Monday, at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, Williston, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Williston. She is survived by her mother, Valerie Porter; her father, Terry Martin; her sister, Ashley Martin; her brother, Travis Martin; her stepbrother, Junior Langly; and her grandfather, Henry Martin. Adam Mitzel
Adam Mitzel, 81, Mobridge, S.D., died Jan. 17, 2001 in a Selby, S.D., care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mobridge. He is survived by his wife, Elenore; two daughters, Helen Anderson, Mobridge, and Jan Elsing, Pierre, S.D.; two sons, Wayne, Antioch, Ill., and Ron, Glenham, S.D.; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Barbara Welder, Mobridge, France Volk, Ipswich, S.D., Ellen Gabriel, Sun City, Ariz., and Rose Werlinger, Fargo; and two brothers, Joe and Leo Mitzel, Sun City, Ariz. Robert J. Nordstrom
Robert J. Nordstrom, 78, Bismarck, died Jan. 17, 2001 in a local hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Lisa Ahlness officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Baldwin Cemetery, Baldwin. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. today, 1-9 p.m. Sunday, both at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Robert John Nordstrom was born Feb. 9, 1922 at Bismarck, to John and Nellie (Peterson) Nordstrom. He was raised and educated in Bismarck, graduating from Bismarck High School in 1940. He then moved to Portland, Ore., where he worked in a defense plant until he entered the U.S. Army on Jan. 27, 1943. He spent three years in the Army; two years in China, Burma, India Theater. He was discharged on Jan. 27, 1946 and returned to Bsimarck where he worked construction. On March 4, 1947, he married Florence Wessel in Bismarck. He worked for the North Dakota State Park Service for 19 years. He was a member of the Capitol City Coin Club and the Three Crowns Society. He is survived by his wife, Florence; his children and their spouses, Ronald and Susan, Spring Hill, Fla., Dr. Donald and Penny, Sioux Falls, S.D., Dr. Robert and Joan, Bismarck, David, Bismarck, James and Bernice, Overland Park, Kan., and Dr. Kathleen and James Breidenbach, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Lisa, Nicholas, Martin, Leah, Thomas, Amie, Amanda and Richard Nordstrom; two step-grandchildren, Andy and his wife, Erin McDannold and Raina McDannold; his mother-in-law, Ida Wessel; four sisters, Viola Kline, Winchester, Va., Emy Beardsley, Olympia, Wash., Anna Mae Haas, Elgin, and Mary Weixel, West Fargo; and two brothers, Norman Nordstrom, Deerwood, Minn., and Gilbert Nordstrom, Bismarck. He was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Nordstrom, and one sister, Rose Marie Alton. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

Anna Anderson
WILLISTON -- Anna Anderson, 77, Williston, formerly of Buford, died Jan. 20, 2001, at her home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, Williston. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williston. She is survived by three sons, Owen and Arthur, both of Buford, and Stanley, Cartwright; two daughters, Roxie Swanson, Littleton, Colo., and Mary Ellen Jones, Forsyth, Mont.; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Berit Leverenz, Williston, and Clara Johnson, Kalispell, Mont.; and two brothers, Conrad Skogen and Osmond Skogen, both of Williston. Selma Bauer
NEW SALEM -- Selma Bauer, 84, New Salem, died Jan. 22, 2001, at her daughter's home in New Salem. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Thursday at Peace Church, New Salem. Further arrangements are pending with Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.

Elizabeth Boger
GARRISON -- Elizabeth Boger, 92, Garrison, died Jan. 22, 2001, in the Garrison hospital. Arrangements are pending with Thompson Funeral Home, Garrison.

Robert Reuben Diede
Robert Reuben Diede, 63, 311 S. 14th St., Bismarck, died Jan. 21, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at House of Prayer Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Swonger officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and will continue one hour before services at the church. Robert was born Aug. 1, 1937, at Bismarck, to Reuben and Mary (Swindling) Diede. He was raised and educated in Bismarck. After his graduation he entered the U.S. Air Force on Jan. 5, 1955 serving until Nov. 4, 1958. He served in the Army Reserves until Feb. 28, 1963. As a young man, he worked at Hanson's Furniture, ushered at local theaters and for Delzer Construction. For the last 43 years he worked for MDU as a control room operator. Robert married Veneta F. Fryett on April 1, 1961, at Wentworth, S.D. He was a member of Dakota Sunrise Good Sam Campers, Liars Club at Dakota Farms and was in good standing with the coffee club at Target. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodcarving, especially the diamond willow. Robert is survived by his wife, Veneta; one daughter, Robin Diede, Bay City, Mich.; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Diede, Bismarck; and six grandchildren, Jeremy MacKiewiez, Doug McNeal, Brianna Diede, Kelsey Diede, Jayden Diede and Josua Diede. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kent Diede; and one brother, Kenneth Diede.

Audrey Dusek
MARTIN -- Audrey Dusek, 73, rural Martin, died Jan. 21, 2001, at her home, of natural causes. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Anamoose. Further arrangements are pending with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Mark W. Ellingson
Mark W. Ellingson, 55, Mandan, formerly of Washburn, died Jan. 19, 2001, in an automobile fire west of Mandan. Arrangements are pending with Goetz Funeral Home, Washburn.

Ludwig Feigert
Ludwig "Louie" Feigert, 76, Bismarck, died Jan. 22, 2001, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Kermit Culver officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Louie Feigert was born Sept. 23, 1924, at Streeter, the son of Jacob and Katherine (Hottman) Feigert. He was raised and educated in Streeter, graduating in 1943. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943, served in the South Pacific Theatre, and held the rank of sergeant prior to his honorable discharge in 1946. Following military service, he worked at a lumber mill, on a construction crew and the Northern Pacific Railroad. He married Etta Wentz on Nov. 12, 1948, in Jamestown. They moved to Washington, where Louie worked at Boeing Aircraft. They returned to Jamestown, where Louie attended Jamestown College. He graduated with a business administration degree in 1954. Following graduation, he accepted a teaching position at Hebron. From 1955 to 1968, he was the assistant cashier at the Bank of Steele. He held positions as administrator at the Heartview Foundation and Golden Valley County Hospital. He traveled as a salesman for several companies from 1974 to 1986. Following retirement, he worked as the parking lot attendant at St. Alexius Medical Center. Louie is survived by his wife, Etta; two daughters and one son-in-law, Deborah and Steven Bensen, Mayville, and Marsha Decker, Chandler, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Lauri, Andrea and Jeremy Bensen; one great-granddaughter, Julia; three brothers, Robert, Jamestown, and Gottlieb and Clarence, both of Fargo; three sisters, Elizabeth Hilsendeger, Bismarck, Lydia Gensburg, Napoleon, and Mathilda Washburn, Fairchild, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews. His parents; one son, Mark; five brothers; and two sisters preceded him in death.

Henry P. Geiger
Henry P. Geiger, 83, Bismarck, died Jan. 21, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at noon Thursday at Church of St. Mary's, Bismarck. Arrangements are pending with Bismarck Funeral Home.

Ida Anderson
Ida Anderson, 89, Bismarck, formerly of Bottineau, died Jan. 22, 2001, in a Bismarck healthcare center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Bottineau. Further arrangements are pending with Nero Funeral Home, Bottineau.

Selma Bauer
NEW SALEM -- Selma Bauer, 84, New Salem, died Jan. 22, 2001, at her daughter's home in New Salem. Services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Thursday at Peace Church, New Salem, with the Revs. Harley Holden and Jason Young officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, west of New Salem. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Chapel, New Salem, and will continue one hour before services at the church. Selma was born March 30, 1916, in New Salem, the daughter of George and Louisa (Zarndt) Holle. Raised on her parents' farm, six miles northwest of New Salem, she married Arnold Bauer on July 16, 1945. A year after their marriage, Selma contracted polio and was confined to a wheelchair for the remainder of her life. She did not let this disability stop her from enjoying life or being a wonderful wife and mother. Selma and Arnold made their home in New Salem, where she became very adept at cooking and crafts, particularly vases made with old or antique jewelry. She also loved watching and feeding the birds. Gifts with a bird theme were always gratefully received and added to her collection of books and porcelain. Selma was also a recipient of the North Dakota Outstanding Disabled Citizen Award. Arnold died May 25, 2000. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Eunice and Larry Morgenstern, New Salem; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Larissa, Casper, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Michael Morgenstern and his wife Brandy, Rebecca Young and her husband Jason, April and Mindy Morgenstern, and Grant Bauer; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Zion Morgenstern; one step-granddaughter, Maria; one brother-in-law, Walter Henke; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two sisters, Della Henke and Elma Heinle. (Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan)

MARTIN -- Audrey Dusek, 73, rural Martin, died Jan. 21, 2001, in her home of natural causes. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Anamoose. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; seven daughters, Susan Corwin, Jamestown, Deborah Schoepp, Lakota, Janice Degenstein and Grace Mlnarik, both of Forman, Joan Chipputi, Spring Valley, Calif., Anette Dusek, Reno, Nev., and Judy Lill, Langdon; four sons, Russell, Stanley, David, New Rockford, Lowell, Anamoose, and James, Mesa, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Angelou Keller, Anamosa, Iowa, and Grace Weigel, Ames, Iowa.
