Amy Boyce
HETTINGER -- Amy Boyce, 88, Hettinger, died Feb. 26, 2000 in the Hettinger hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. MST Friday, at Assembly of God Church, Hettinger, with the Revs. Ron Partridge and Martin Aldridge officiating. Burial will be in Hettinger Cemetery.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Amy Evelyn Boyce was born on Dec. 31, 1911 to William and Christine (Johnson) Holmquist, at the family farmhouse south of Reeder. Amy graduated from Reeder High School in 1931 and from the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis in 1933. She worked at Asbury hospital in Minneapolis until she moved to Seattle, Wash. in 1941. She met Jesse Boyce while working at Boeing Aircraft in Seattle. They were married on Aug. 1, 1941 and had one son, Duane on June 4, 1942.
In 1945 they moved to Hettinger and built the Boyce Machine Shop. Amy worked at the town Shop and Edn'a Dress Shop in Hettinger. She was a member of Assembly of God Church and taught in the beginner's Sunday school class for many years. She loved children and teaching that age group.
In 1998, she entered Hillcrest Care Center and was a resident there until her death. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by all.
She is survived by one son, Duane, Hettinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse. (Bismarck Funeral Home)

Jeannette Elichuk
WILTON -- Jeannette Liana Elichuk, 66, Wilton, died Feb. 29, 2000 at her daughter's home in Hankinson. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Mission Evangelical Free Church, Wilton, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Wilton.
Public visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today, at Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck, and for one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born on May 18, 1933 in Kidder County, the daughter of Lee and Rose Mertz. On June 18, 1951, she married Peter Elichuk in Wilton. Jeannette was a multi-talented lady. As an artist, she was requested by family, friends and civic groups to paint pictures for them. She painted the lighted Christmas signs that hang on the street poles in Wilton at Christmas and helped restore several icons in Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Wilton. She especially enjoyed painting landscapes with a lot of detail.
She and her late husband, Peter, enjoyed gardening. For Jeannette, her flower gardens were a joy for her. Every summer the yard was filled with color and produce and was spotlighted on KFYR-TV.
There were always wonderful aromas in Jeannette's kitchen. Family members looked forward to weekend and holiday meals spent together. Conversation and laughter were always plentiful in her home.
She embroidered and did needlepoint pictures and towels. She loved to watch birds, especially the Purple Martins in her backyard. She enjoyed God's little creatures and made sure there was food for the birds and wild animals.
She was a generous and loving person. She was always willing to help others before she helped herself. Her sense of humor carried her and her family through the good and bad times. She had a lot of hope and touched many lives. She was a sweet person and will be missed.
Jeannette is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Noreen, Eden Prairie, Minn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Robert Schrivner, Hankinson; four grandchildren, Brandon, Darcie, Alex and Iveta; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Joe Hruby, Wilton, Ruth Deckert, Arena, and Ella and Melvin Buchholz, Bismarck; two brothers and sisters-in-law, LeRoy and Margaret Mertz, Bismarck, and Jim and Lois Mertz, Wilton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; her parents and one sister. (Boelter Funeral Home, Bismarck)

Pauline Emineth
Pauline Emineth, 61, 904 Third Avenue NW, Mandan, died at her residence on Feb. 28, 2000. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Hugo L. Blotsky, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans' Cemetery, rural Mandan.
Visitation begins today at Weigel Funeral Home, from 1-9 p.m. with a rosary and parish vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation continues Friday for one hour prior to services at the church.
Pauline (Blotsky) Emineth, the daughter of Cornelius and Salamea (Volk) Blotsky, was born April 24, 1938 in Grant County. She was raised and educated in Freda. Pauline continued her education attending Capital Commercial College in Bismarck. On May 19, 1962, she was united in marriage to Edward Emineth in Bismarck. They were owners of Emineth Bar in Mandan. Pauline was a member of St. Joseph Church Parish and Circle.
Pauline was a collector of Country Western records, especially those recorded with old time music. With this collection, she provided old time music to the local radio stations. She enjoyed making jewelry, belt buckles and working with ceramics. Camping and fishing were always a highlight in her life.
She is survived by five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Bill (Clara) Blotsky and Ray (Alvina) Blotsky, all of Bismarck; Father Hugo L. Blotsky, O.S.B., Garrison; Ted Blotsky, Fargo, and Jerry (Mira) Blotsky, Blaine, Wash.; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Bernice (Bill) Rafferty, Fairview, Mont., Katherine (Adam) Hoff, Arena, Phyllis (Clarence) Lentz, Junction City, Kan., Eva Giese, Bismarck, LaVerne (Eugene) Emineth, Center, and Bernadette Tennison, Jamestown; special friends, Lorraine Rummery and Bud and Beno Miller, all of Mandan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ed, who died Oct. 10, 1999; one brother, Ralph Blotsky and one sister, Margaret Blotsky.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that Memorials be given to the Outreach Ministries at Spirit of Life Church. (Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan)

Harold Hintz
Harold A. Hintz, 81, Spearfish, S.D., died Feb. 29, 2000 at his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Spearfish. Burial will be in Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, S.D.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his sons, Dennis, Topeka, Kan., Douglas, Bismarck, and Warren, Fargo; his daughters, Marie Cappa, Naperville, Ill., Eunice Matter, Racine, Wis., and Barbara Zimmerman, Hubertus, Wis.; six grandchildren and one step-grandson. Minnie Kinslow
KULM -- Minnie (Ogren) Kinslow, 93, Kulm, died Feb. 28, 2000. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Kulm Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Gahner, Jud, Yvonne Hildebrand, Kulm, Charlotte Sims, Wahpeton, Joan Mogck, Fargo, Skip, Wayne, Neb., and Dennis, Frederick, S.D.; her sisters, Ethel Hille, Kulm, Mabel Jenner, Walnut Creek, Calif., Myrtle Canedy, Mesa, Ariz., and Harriet Blomquist, Apple Valley, Minn.; one brother, Luther Ogren, Fargo; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Lucy Landers
Lucy R. Landers, 85, Bismarck, died Feb. 29, 2000 at her home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Church of St. Mary, Bismarck, with the Rev. Charlie Heidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a rosary service will be said at 6 p.m. tonight.
Lucy R. Brown was born June 26, 1914 to Joseph and Rose (Zahn) Brown in Bismarck. She was raised and educated in Bismarck. Lu worked at Woodmansee Office Supply for many years and also worked at JC Penney, starting in 1961 and retired from there in 1982.
Lu brightened many lives and had a good sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Lu is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Margo Landers, and granddaughters, Erika and Courtney, all of Bismarck; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gabe and Darlene Brown, Bismarck, and Ray and Maxine Brown, Sterling; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Glen Donaldson, Alkiah, Calif., and Rosemary, Mandan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Josephine Skrede and Bev Wescott; and brothers, Adam, Steve and Leo Brown. (Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck)

Robert Landers
MINOT -- Robert Landers, 60, Minot, died at his home on Feb. 29, 2000. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; three sons, Robert, Everett, Wash., John, Lynnwood, Wash., and Steven, Columbia, S.C.; one sister, Elizabeth Jackson, Keystone Heights, Fla.; and four grandchildren. (Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot)

Irene Luchsinger
DICKINSON -- Irene M. Luchsinger, 79, Dickinson, formerly of Medora and Mott, died Feb. 28, 2000 at her home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Friday, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Mott, with burial in the church cemetery.
A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Mott. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. MST today at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Home on the Range at Sentinel Butte.
Irene was born Dec. 7, 1920 in Baer Township of Hettinger County, to Adam and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Kelsch. She grew up on the family farm southwest of Bentley. She attended rural school, graduating with the last class from Bentley High School in 1938. She then attended Capitol Commercial College in Bismarck. Irene was united in marriage to Fred Luchsinger on Oct. 15, 1941 at Mott. Following their marriage, they farmed west of Mott. In 1952, they moved into Mott continuing their farming operation, they later purchased the International Harvester dealership. In 1965, they sold the business, and purchased the Custer Trail Ranch south of Medora. In 1972, they retired and moved into Dickinson. They Luchsingers spent several winters in Arizona. Fred passed away in 1991, and Irene continued to make her home in Dickinson.
Irene's family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed playing bridge and Bingo. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, bowling, golf and gardening.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her sons and daughters-in-law, Lyle and Coleetta Luchsinger, Solen, and Jim and Denise Luchsinger, Mott; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gerry Marman, Aurora, Colo.; six grandchildren, Pam and Scott Luchsinger, Christopher and Stacey Marman, Tiffany and Jennifer Luchsinger; two brothers, Joe Kelsch and Willie Kelsch, both of Mott; four sisters, Betty Yarosh, Mott, Anna Hoherz, Bentley, Lou Roebuck, and Eva Farnham, both of Woodland, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; an infant daughter, and one sister, Rose Monalovitz. (Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home, Mott)

Edna Schatz
MCCLUSKY -- Edna Schatz, 90, McClusky, died March 1, 2000 in the Underwood nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at United Methodist Church, McClusky. Further arrangements are pending with Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

Adam Volk
HARVEY -- Adam Volk, 92, Harvey, died Feb. 29, 2000 in a Harvey nursing home. Arrangements are pending with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.
