Fenton -- William M. "Bill," 76, of Ramona, Calif., Country Estates, for 13 years, died Wednesday (11/14/2001). Born, Omaha (2/3/25). Pilot in the military service, 22 years, retired from the Air National Guard as a major. Served, World War II, Korean War. Attended Lincoln High School, was a Nebraska state backstroke champion. Bachelor of architecture, University of Nebraska (1950), where he lettered in swimming. His architectural career spanned 36 years, during which he was a partner in the Lincoln architectural firm of Davis, Fenton, Stange and Darling. President, Nebraska Society of Architects, 1977; elected to board of directors of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, 1985. Past president, Nebraska Chapter of American Institute of Architects. Former member, Country Club of Lincoln. In recent years, had been an active member of First Congregational Church of Ramona, as well as the San Vincente Golf Club. He had a love for travel and enjoyed spending his retired years traveling nationally and abroad.
