Eldon L. ‘Bud’ McKimmey, Sr., 75, of Juniata, Nebraska, died Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be Saturday, February 8, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska.

Eldon L. ‘Bud’ McKimmey, Sr. was born icon August 26, 1927 in Loup County, Nebraska to Ralph W. & Edna L. (Parker) McKimmey As a teenager, he worked on a Nevada Ranch for two summers. He married Elaine K. Graham in Broken Bow, Nebraska on May 29, 1947. He moved from Custer County, Nebraska to Adams County, Nebraska in 1953 and was a truck driver for Consolidated Motor Freight for over 30 years, before his retirement. He was a member of Teamsters Local #554.

Eldon L. ‘Bud’ McKimmey, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandchildren, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Harold Hahn

Harold Hahn, 83, of 1214 Westridge Dr., died Monday, February 3, 2003 at his home.

Services with Masonic Rites will be Friday, February 7, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Judith Allen officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Harold Hahn was born icon November 9, 1919 in Hastings, Nebraska to Philip & Margaret
(Eckhardt) Hahn. He graduated from Hastings Senior High School in 1937. In December of 1942, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in the 235th Combat Engineer Battalion during WWII. He served in North Africa, Naples, Italy and the Philippines, where he received a Distinguished Unit Citation, a Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and two Purple Hearts. He graduated from Hastings College in 1948 and on August 20, 1949, he married Florence Patterson in Hastings, Nebraska. He also served during the Korean War from September of 1950 until November of 1951, when he was medically retired. He was President of Hahn & Hupf Construction Company from 1968 until 1986. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Masons-Hastings Lodge #50, Hastings Scottish Rite, Tehama Temple, Tehama Clowns, Tehama Sandheaters, Eastern Star, Royal Order of the Jesters and he served as Chairman of the Shrine Circus for ten years.

Harold Hahn was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two sisters, one brother and one son, Timothy Hahn.

Arnold H. Mahloch

Arnold H. Mahloch, 85, of 625 Lane H, died Monday, February 3, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Wednesday, February 5, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Arnold H Mahloch was born icon January 16, 1918 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Frederick & Frances K. (Darnauer) Mahloch. He attended Dewitt Public School, Dewitt, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army, 3rd Division, during WWII from October 30, 1940 until July 28, 1945. On October 15, 1949, he married Madeline Heinrich and she preceded him in death on February 21, 1959. He worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot near Hastings, Nebraska until moving to Concord, California to work for the United States Government in 1965. He married Margaret Spooner in 1965 and she preceded him in death in 1997. He returned to Hastings, Nebraska in 1993. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and V.F.W.

Arnold H. Mahloch was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife Madeline & 2nd wife Margaret, 2 brothers and a sister.

Survivors include,

Linda L. Sansone

Former Hastings resident, Linda L. Sansone, 60, of 39 Stetson Street, Leominster, Massachusetts, died Saturday morning, February 1, 2003 in the home of her eldest daughter, Vicki Manchester, after a lengthy illness. Her death comes on the heels of her husbands (Anthony E. Sansone) death on February 14, 2002. They are now reunited in Heaven. As Linda was preparing for her journey to the other side and to the side of her beloved husband, she had the company of her children and grandchildren at her side. She will be greatly missed as she was our family’s glue.

Services will be Friday, February 7, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Sam Rathod officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Linda L. Sansone was born icon July 3, 1942 in Hardy, Nebraska to Vern R. & Laura E. (Colburn) Hiatt. She grew up in Hastings, Nebraska, where she graduated from Hastings High School and continued on to the Omaha College of Business, Omaha, Nebraska. During her working career, she was a legal administrator in Nebraska and once moved to Leominster, she decided to be a stay at home mom.

A private service was held for family and close friends in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West. St., Leominster, Massachusetts.

Survivors include,

Mildred Alma Fox, 89, of Perkins Pavilion, died Monday, March 31, 2003 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Thursday, April 3, 2003; 2:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Heuer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mildred Alma Fox was born icon September 20, 1913 in Blue Hill, Nebraska to Julius & Anna (Koepke) Kottwitz. She graduated from Blue Hill High School and on November 24, 1932, she married John J. Fox. He preceded her in death in 1962. She was a meat wrapper for Hinky Dinky & Jack & Jill Groceries, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Mildred Alma Fox was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John in 1962; daughters, Joan Petersen in 1975 & LaVona Dericks in 1983; son, Donald Fox in 1993, grandsons, Gary & Jerry Dericks in 1955 andGregory Petersen in 1988; great grandson, Nickolas Fergus in 1998, 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

Gladys B. Weiler

Gladys B. Weiler, 90, of The Kensington, 233 N. Hastings, died Monday, March 31, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, April 5, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Gladys B. Weiler was born icon December 27, 1912 in Walcott, North Dakota to George & Anna (Perhus) Vangsnes. She graduated from high school and was transferred from Fargo, North Dakota with the Lutheran Hospital Association to Grand Island, Nebraska in 1943. In April of 1948, she married Francis J. ‘Doc’ Weiler and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1996. She worked for Hohlfeld Paint and later was a secretary for the United State Department of Agriculture for many years. She was a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and NARFE.

Gladys B. Weiler was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Francis ‘Doc’; 5 brothers, Oscar, Samuel, Melvin, Clifford and Clarence.

Survivors include,

Darwin H. Kempf

Darwin H. Kempf, 60, of 606 First St., Glenvil, Nebraska, died as a result of cancer, Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Wednesday, March 26, 2003; 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil, Nebraska with Rev. Jack Eske and Rev. Neal Anthony officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska.

Darwin H. Kempf was born icon December 3, 1942 in Clay Center, Nebraska to Harold & Clara (Heilen) Kempf. He grew up and lived in the Glenvil area all his life. He graduated from Glenvil High School and from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Nebraska, Universal Trade School, Omaha, Nebraska and was Automotive Service Excellence (ASC) Certified. On December 8, 1963, he married Sharon Stromer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Glenvil, Nebraska. For the past 20 years, he was an instructor at Central Community College, Hastings, Nebraska. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil, Nebraska and Nebraska Auto Body Association.

Darwin Kempf was preceded in death by his father.

Dorthy Young was born icon December 30, 1933 in Guide Rock, Nebraska to Willis & Nora (Meford) Armstrong. She graduated from Guide Rock High School and married Dean F. Young on June 2, 1951in Red Cloud, Nebraska. He preceded her in death in 2001. She was a homemaker and worked for Dutton Lainson Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Eagles Auxiliary.

Dorthy Young was preceded in death by her mother Nora Armstrong, husband, Dean and a son, Mike.
