Harry J. Eisenmann
Harry J. Eisenmann, 88, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at the Beverly Healthcare Center in Columbus. Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Columbus, Nebraska on Friday, March 08, 2002 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Klatt officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Gass Haney Funeral Home on Thursday, March 7, 2002 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM and at Peace Lutheran Church on Friday, March 8, 2002 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. There will be a family prayer service on Friday at 1:45 PM at the church.
Harry Eisenmann was born
April 22, 1913 in rural Platte County, Nebraska to Edward and Lydia (Aerni) Eisenmann. He attended rural school district #45. He worked on the family farm and as a farmhand. He married Leona Janssen on March 12, 1941 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 14 miles north of Columbus. Together they continued farming, raising grain, livestock and milking cows. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing and trapping. For many years, Harry served on the Lonely Valley, Stanton County, school board, district #37. He was also a 4-H leader for the Lonely Valley 4-H Club. He served on the Creston Village board, past member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Humphrey, Nebraska and a current member of Peace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Lucile Cadwell, 93, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Thursday, March 07, 2002 at Whetstone Care Center in Columbus, Ohio. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2002 at the Columbus Cemetery, Columbus, Nebraska with the Rev. Nancy Idenden officiating. There will be a private family visitation at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 11 at Gass Haney Funeral Home. Lucile was born
January 26, 1909 in Columbus, Nebraska to Arthur and Clara (Lehman) Gray Sr. She was married to William H. Cadwell. For the past number of years, Lucile has been living in Columbus, Ohio.

Carolyn Z. Cook
Carolyn Z. Cook, 68, of Columbus, Nebraska died Monday, November 25, 2002 at the Beverly Healthcare in Columbus.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2002, 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus with Rev. Gary Main officiating. There will be a family prayer service at 10:45 A.M. on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at the Columbus Cemetery on Wednesday at 1:30 P.M.
Carolyn Zoe Cook was born
July 29, 1934 to Thomas and Ethel (Clement) Hamer in North Loup, Nebraska. She was very active in the Seven-Day Baptist Church, attending church camps and other activities. She attended North Loup High School and graduated in 1952. On July 20, 1954, Carolyn married James A. Cook in Wabash, Indiana. She was employed in the loan and banking business for most of her life. At the time of her retirement, she was Vice-President of the Bank of Monroe and also held the position of licensed loan officer. Carolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and being involved in their activities. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or the church.

Edgar Cattau
Edgar Cattau, 80, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at the Beverly Healthcare in Columbus.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 12, 2003, 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with Revs. Roland A. Jank, Richard Bringewatt and Andrew Alberts officiating. Interment will be at the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus with military honors by the American Legion Hartman Post #84. Visitation is on Friday, April 11 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Saturday, April 12 from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M.
Edgar Cattau was born
June 24, 1922 in rural Platte County, Nebraska to Herman and Lottie (Held) Cattau. He was baptized, confirmed and attended school at Christ Lutheran. Edgar was drafted into the US Army on October 7, 1942. He was in the first group of 20 year olds that were drafted from Platte County. He was in field artillery. He became disabled and was honorably discharged on November 18, 1943.
Edgar and Vernetta Grotelueschen were united in marriage on August 22, 1943 at Christ Lutheran Church. Edgar worked at Behlen Manufacturing as a construction foreman for a number of years. He later went into carpentry work until he became permanently disabled in 1980. He enjoyed playing cards and was considered by many as a professional sheephead and euchre player. He was a member of the church and the American Legion, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Dorothy I. Clabaugh, 83, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 31, 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus with Rev. Gary Main officiating. Interment will be at the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus on Monday, March 31 at 10:00 A.M. There is no visitation. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church.
Dorothy I. Clabaugh was born
December 3, 1919 in Columbus, Nebraska to George W. & Nellie M. (Roland) Drinnin. Dorothy graduated from Columbus High School in 1937. On December 18, 1940 Dorothy married Donald V. Clabaugh in Columbus. She worked as bookkeeper for their family chicken hatchery in Columbus all her life until her retirement in 1991. Dorothy was a past president of the Seroptimist Club, a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, and the Rotary Anns. She was active in the church and enjoyed working on election days helping count the ballots. Dorothy was also a member of the Emanon Canasta Card Club.

George R. Bieberdorf, 84, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Thursday, August 3, 2000 at the Columbus Manor in Columbus.
Services will be Friday, August 11, 2000 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Creston, Nebraska with Rev. Paul Rockswold officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Creston. Visitation will be Friday, August 11, 2000 from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at the church.
George Bieberdorf was born
July 7, 1915 in Alberta, Canada to Fred & Bertha (Hein) Bieberdorf. He graduated from High School in Rapid City, SD. While working in Rapid City, George met and married Elsie Hein in 1936. During the depression years, they moved where they could find work. George was a welder at Pettibone and Mullikan in Chicago, Illinois. A move was made to Julesburg, Colorado where he and a brother-in-law had a Coast to Coast Store.
After leaving Colorado, George moved his family to Columbus, NE where he was employed at Dale Electronics, Inc. In the 1970's George and his family moved to Creston, NE. George worked as a machinist at Creston Mfg. Co and after they quit he went to Lindsay and worked there as a machinist. George then went to work for the city of Creston as a Maintenance Engineer and was a jack of all trades for fixing things in the community. He was also past mayor of Creston.
George was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Creston.

Patrick Jon Thomas Becher, 31, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Monday, December 11, 2000 at the Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus. Services are Thursday, December 14, 2000, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Richard Bringewatt officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2000 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Thursday, December 14 from 9:30 AM until service time at the church. A family prayer service will be held on Thursday at 10:15 AM at the church.
Patrick Jon Thomas Becher, 31, was born
February 13, 1969 in Columbus to Lowell and Monica (Wunderlich) Becher. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School through the 8th grade, Columbus Jr. High and graduated from Columbus High School in 1987. He furthered his education at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska and received his Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Health Promotion Management in 1991. From 1991 to 1996, Pat worked for Columbus Family Support Center. He then worked in family support work until 1997. In 1998, Pat became the District Executive for the Mid America Council, Boy Scouts of America, Petah La Shauro District.
On Nov. 23, 1996, Pat married Jill Johnson at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus where they were members. Pat enjoyed basketball, golf, hunting, fishing, baseball, softball, bowling and skiing. He was also active in the local chapter of Kiwanis. He especially enjoyed his time with family and friends.
