Nancy Krous

Nancy Krous, 54 of Greeley, Nebraska died suddenly, Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Howard County Medical Center at St. Paul.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. Reverend David Wietzke will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Mrs. Krous was born icon April 13, 1958 at Grand Island the daughter of Henry Hans and Lorraine (Schroeder) Schultz.

Survivors include her husband, Alan; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Charles Sandersfield, April and Jeremiah Cole and Trina and E.J. Corretjer all of Grand Island and father-in-law, Orrin Krous of Harvard, NE.

Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Thomas Kinman, Charles and Crayden Sandersfield, Riley and Madisyn Cole and Tiara, Tony and Matthew Corretjer and her four legged companion, Nosey Rosey Bell.

Her parents and an infant brother preceded her in death.

Nancy was raised on a farm near Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School, class of 1978. She also received her Certified Nurses Aid certificate.

On October 14, 1996 she was united in marriage to Alan Eugene Krous. They lived in Grand Island before moving to Greeley in 2005.

Some of her enjoyments included, NASCAR racing, fishing, trips to Branson, Missouri, arts and crafts, the outdoors but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Her memory will be treasured by many.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mary Ellen Langenberg

Mary Ellen Langenberg, 66 of Grand Island died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at home with her family by her side.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church. Reverends Daniel Bremer and Stuart Burt will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Minden Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island.

Ms. Langenberg was born icon July 27, 1945 at Hastings, NE the daughter of Floyd Smiley and Ardis (Westerbuhr) Smiley.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Kevin Oberschulte, Shiela and Todd Wall and Jennifer Gage and her friend, Robert Kyman all of Grand Island; brothers and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kathy Smiley of Zavalla, TX and Scott Smiley of Franklin, NE and sister, Judy Rheome of Kearney.

Those also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Miranda and Kira Oberschulte, Steven and Joshua Vickers, Nick Langenberg, Chris Gage, Kathryn and Conner Speer; great-grandchild, Aiden Vickers all of Grand Island and step grandchildren, Taylor and Maci Wall of Central City.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Mary was raised and received her education at Gibbon. She was united in marriage to Ronald Langenberg on July 21, 1964. She lived most of her adult life in Grand Island where she worked as a Med Aid at the Nebraska Veterans Home for over 30 years.

She enjoyed her grandkids sporting events and activities, family gatherings, canning, sewing, crafts, crocheting, reading, puzzle books, attending concerts with her sister, planting flowers, Nebraska football, collecting pigs and her dog, Buster. She is a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Memorials are suggested to the Rosemary Werner Memorial Hat Tree.

Clifford 'Cliff' A, Lesiak Sr.

Clifford ‘Cliff’ A. Lesiak Sr., 69, of Grand Island, passed away, Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Nebraska Veterans Home with his son by his side.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in All Faiths Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island. Dan Naranjo will officiate. To honor Cliff’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial of ashes will be in the Grand Island Nebraska Veterans Home Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to service time.

Cliff was born icon October 27, 1942 in Genoa, Nebraska, the son of Alexander and Rose (Zoucha) Lesiak.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Clifford Jr. (Joy) Lesiak of Omaha, Clance Lesiak of Columbus, and Harlan Thomas Lesiak of Columbus; daughter, Shawn Fyfe of Newman Grove, NE.

Those also left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Alonzo Lesiak of Columbus, Hilbert Lesiak of Fullerton, Gene Lesiak of Oregon, and Rich Lesiak of Columbus; sister Teresa Prososki of Minnesota; 13 grand children; and 7 great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Ted Lesiak; infant daughter, Suzanne; brother, Teddy Lesiak; sisters, Irene Kula and Angie Lesiak; son in law, Ron Fyfe; and his grandparents.

Cliff entered the United States Army in September of 1962 and was stationed in Korea. He was Honorably Discharged in September of 1964.

He enjoyed spending time with his son Jr., fishing, gardening and Polka.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Donald E. McCarville

Donald E. McCarville, 80 of Grand Island died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 as the result of a motorcycle car accident.

Celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Reverend Richard Piontkowski will officiate. Private family burial of ashes will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Loup City.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4-6 p.m. Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Mr. McCarville was born icon June 7, 1932 at Sherman County the son of Charles and Victoria (Zaruba) McCarville.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife of 59 years, Phyllis; daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Jack Tindall of Osceola, Donna and Joe Wieczorek of Lubbock, TX and Kay and Dave Tschantre of Columbus, NE; brother, Leonard McCarville of Kearney and sisters, Ilene Gembala of Montana, Alice Spiehs of Grand Island, JoAnn and Jim Kalkowski of Rockville, Louise and Fred Hartman of Kearney, Donette and Robert Danburg of Missouri and Betty and Alan Labs of Colorado.

Those also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Joey, Jenny, Devin, Casey and Dylan and great-grandchildren, Cody, Autumn, Jena and Caleb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Leona Kowalski and Caroline Sonnenfeld and great-grandson, Jaydon Tindall.

On September 2, 1952 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Krakowski in Rockville. The couple resided in Grand Island. In 1953 Don served in the service in Germany while patrolling the Russian border driving a tank. Following his military service Don began driving truck. He drove long hauls for Behlen Manufacturing and for the past couple of years drove for Pellats Plus in Chapman until his retirement.

Don was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and the American Legion.

A memorial fund will be established in Donald’s memory.

Evelyn I. Meininger

Evelyn I. Meininger, 89, of Grand Island, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at The Ambassador Nursing Home in Lincoln.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Chaplain James Jost will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.

Evelyn was born icon on April 16, 1922 at Alliance, NE, the daughter of Simon and Flonnie (Becker) Wagner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and her husband, Marcia and Jim Schwaderer of Lincoln; her son and his wife, Ed and Carmen Meininger of Lincoln; brother and sister in law, Bill and Sue Schmer of Grand Island; and a sister and brother in law, Joyce and LaVern Graus of Grand Island.

Those also left to cherish her memory are her five grandchildren and their spouses, Shane Meininger, Christopher Meininger, and Traci and Justin Sisson all of Lincoln, Kerri and Bobby Colclasure of Lincoln and Travis Schwaderer of Chicago; and five great grandchildren, Carter, Tenley, and Talissa Colclasure and Corbin and Bristol Sisson.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, her husband Ernest, and her sister Lola Randolph.

Evelyn was raised in Grand Island and received her education in Grand Island. She married Ernest Meininger on February 1, 1942 at Yuma, AZ. Following their marriage they lived in San Diego, later moving to Syracuse, NY while Ernest was in the service. After Ernest was discharged from the service, they made their home in Grand Island.

She is a member of the TOPS Club and The First United Methodist Church.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Genevieve 'Gen' Moersen

Genevieve ‘Gen’ Moersen, 86, of Grand Island, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Tiffany Square.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, in Gollaher Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church. Reverend Jay Vetter will officiate. Burial will be at Grand Island City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Genevieve was born icon August 31, 1926 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Richard and Oaklyn ‘Tooter’ (Smith) Howe.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, Patricia and Thomas Mattke of Doniphan, Barbara and Craig Lewis of Grand Island and Robert and Jackie Moersen of Garland, Texas.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Vera Howe of Reneville, Minnesota; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leo and Donna Moersen of Aiken, South Carolina and six nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Moersen on August 1, 1990; her parents; a brother, Richard Howe and grandson, Steven Lewis.

Gen grew up and attended school in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High, Class of 1945. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Moersen on October 13, 1948 in St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Gen’s employment included JCPenney and Sheila and Company. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Dorcas Circle. She was also one of the original members of Grand Island Mother Singers of Dodge Elementary School.

She had many enjoyments, but especially her grandchildren and her dog, Lexi.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church.

Maribeth O'Hern

Maribeth O’Hern, 40, of Grand Island died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at All Faiths Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Reverend John Hayes will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Rose Hill Cemetery near Palmer.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home.

Mrs. O’Hern was born icon January 23, 1972 at Grand Island the daughter of Deborah (Engle) Dockhorn.

Survivors are her husband, Michael; daughter, Emily Lyions of Grand Island; step-daughter, Adaylee O’Hern of Lincoln; her mother and stepfather, Deborah and Darren Dockhorn of Grand Island; brothers, Russell Dockhorn of Grand Island and Jack Augustine of Grand Island; father-in-law, Barney O’Hern of Palmer and Grandpa, Donald Engle of Grand Island.

Maribeth was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hattie Engle and aunt, Dotie Brandt.

She was raised and received her education in Grand Island. On May 10, 2011 she was united in marriage to Michael O’Hern.

Maribeth had written on her face-book page, “I am a CASA volunteer-which has become the passion of my life. I am taking care of the Grandfather who raised me…I am a guardian of 3 people; mother of the most amazing, beautiful daughter in the world; have learned by living…have the Best friends you could ask for and a husband who makes my life seem like a fairy tale.” Her memory will be treasured by many.

A memorial fund will be established in memory of Maribeth.
