Alphonse S. Galetz, G&W Lab mechanic
PISCATAWAY -- Alphonse S. Galetz, 59, died Tuesday (April 6, 1999) at home here.
Mr. Galetz was born in Reading, Pa.
He served in the Navy.
He was a mechanic at G&W Lab in South Plainfield.
He enjoyed fishing and car racing.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Omert Galetz; a daughter, Elizabeth Galetz at home; and a sister, Yvonne Rathbone of Pittsburgh.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sheenan Funeral Home in Dunellen. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

SUSAN L. RICARDY, AGE 54, WOODBRIDGE
Susan L. Levine Ricardy died yesterday at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 54.
She was born in Somerville and had lived in Union before moving to the Iselin section of Woodbridge 32 years ago.
She was a clerk at Strategic Technologies in Iselin for two years.
Surviving are her husband, Dennis; two sons, Anthony of Jackson and Michael of Mobile, Ala.; a daughter, Michelle of Iselin, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Thomas J. Costello Funeral Home in Iselin, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Cecelia's R.C. Church in Iselin. Burial will be at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in the Colonia section of Woodbridge.

DR. SALVATOR EMANUELE, AGE: 72, EDISON
Dr. Salvatore J. Emanuele died yesterday at JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates Nursing, Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center in Edison. He was 72.
He was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and had lived in Edison for most of his life.
He attended Hunter College and had received his medical degree at the Belgium Medical School in Belgium.
Dr. Emanuele retired in 1995 after starting his medical practice in 1959, practicing in Edison and South Plainfield. Prior to that he was a physician at JFK Medical Center in Edison and at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy Division. He also had been an assistant professor of cardiology at Rutgers University and served as Edison's police physician.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Vanessa of Metuchen and Michele of Carteret, and a brother, Benjamin of Allentown, Pa.
Services will be noon Monday at Flynn & Son Funeral Home in the Fords section of Woodbridge. Burial will be at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in the Arnytown section of North Hanover.

GERTRUDE GLINES, AGE 76, NEW BRUNSWICK
Gertrude Conger Glines died Wednesday at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Fla. She was 76.
She was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Newark before moving to Melbourne in 1971. She was a member of the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club and the Order of the Eastern Star Highland Park Chapter 190.
Her husband, Clifford, died in 1985.
Surviving are four sons, Clifford of Midland, Ga., Randal of Alton, N.H., James of Wilmington, Del., and Richard of Newark; a brother, G. Raymond Conger of Milltown; a sister, Edith Conners of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Selover Funeral Home in North Brunswick. Burial will follow at Van Liew Cemetery.

NEWTON SMITH SR., AGE 82, HIGHLAND PARK
Newton H. Smith Sr. died yesterday at Crestwood Manor in the Whiting section of Manchester. He was 82.
He was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Highland Park for many years before moving to Whiting three years ago.
He was an automotive dealer and owner of T&T Motors in Edison from 1947 to 1985.
He served as a pilot in the Army Air Forces during World War II.
He was an avid sports flier.
His wife, the former Jean Cassidy, died in 1996.
Surviving are a son, Newton H. Jr. of Wrightstown; a sister, Lillian Hughes of Sandestin, Fla.; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 9 a.m. Monday at Selover Funeral Home in North Brunswick. Burial will be at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.

Edward A. Lines, 69, auto dispatcher
PISCATAWAY -- Edward A. Lines, 69, died Wednesday (Nov. 26, 2003) in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Plainfield, he resided in Piscataway and Dunellen his entire life. Mr. Lines was employed as an auto dispatcher at Autoland in Springfield.
He was an avid bowler and he loved to play billiards.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Marilyn Lines of Warren; his son, Mark Lines and his wife, Patti, of Dunellen; his daughter Angel Vorwick and her husband, Tim, of Whitehouse Station; his brother, Laurence Lines of Georgia; his sister, Barbara Lines of Perrineville; and his four grandchildren, James Vorwick, Lynn Vorwick, Olivia Lines and Lily Lines.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be 8 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the funeral home.

Joseph A. Constanza Jr., 72, retired contractor
EDISON -- Joseph A. Constanza Jr., 72, of Edison died Thursday (Nov. 27, 2003) at the Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Joe was born in Elizabeth and resided in Edison for the last 47 years.
He was a self-employed carpenter and contractor and the owner of Joseph Constanza Contracting in Edison for many years before retiring in 1984.
Joe was an avid gardener and loved working in his yard and garden.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Linda Wiers Constanza; his sons, Joseph M. and his wife, Luisa Constanza, of Edison and Jeffrey and his wife Joan Constanza of Neshanic Station; his daughter, Jacqueline and her husband, Joe Frazee, of Edison; his sister, Angelina Tanqanelli of Linden; his devoted grandchildren, Nicole and her husband, Derrick Trim, Michael and Gabrielle Constanza and Natalie Frazee.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the James W. Conroy Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield. Burial will follow in the St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Raymond De Gregory, golf course manager
MIDDLESEX -- Raymond De Gregory died Thursday (Nov. 27, 2003) at Somerset Medical Center. Born in Bound Brook, he lived all of his life in Middlesex County. He was the son of the late Cosmo and Dolores (Patullo) De Gregory. Mr. De Gregory was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by the Somerset County Parks Commission as a golf course manager.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church of Bound Brook.
He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (Vosseler), in 1997.
Surviving are his brother, Peter De Gregory of Middlesex; his sisters, Jeanne Freuler of Laguna Hills, Calif., and Annette Marshall of The Woodlands, Texas. He is also survived by six nephews and two nieces.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Bound Brook. Interment will be in Bound Brook Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Conroy Funeral Home, 21 E. Second. St., Bound Brook.

CHARLOTTE LYNN, AGE 88, NO. BRUNSWICK
Charlotte E. (Bruskin) Lynn, 88, of North Brunswick died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, Somerset.
Born in New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Philip H. and Rose I. Bruskin, she lived in New Brunswick and in North Brunswick for 54 years before moving into the Jewish Home for the Aged in 2001. She was a 1932 graduate of New Brunswick High School and a 1937 graduate of New Jersey College for Women (now Douglass College), and in 1958 received her master's degree from Rutgers University. She was a staff dietitian at the U.S. Marine Corps hospitals in Staten Island, N.Y., and Baltimore, Md., from 1938 to 1944. Mrs. Lynn was employed by the New Brunswick Board of Education from 1953 to 1978, retiring as director of food services. During her tenure with the New Brunswick school system she piloted the first Head Start program in the country.
She was past president of the New Jersey Food Service Association; founding member of the Central Jersey African Violet Association; life member of the Auxiliary of the Central New Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged and was the first recipient of the auxiliary's Woman of Valor award. She was a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts of America, serving as troop leader and director of Camp Sacajawea for many years. She was a member of Douglass College Alumnae Association. She was also a lifelong member of Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, New Brunswick.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Syril Farber and Mignon Siegel. Surviving are her partner of 25 years, Leo Friedman, of Matawan; her two daughters, Frances M. Lynn of Durham, N.C., and Nancy R. Lynn and her husband, Vincent R. Hebert, of Richland, Wash.; a grandson, Theodore P.L. Luebke of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Ruth Feder of Asheville, N.C., and Marion Mandell and her husband, Joseph, of Palo Alto, Calif.; a brother, Harold M. Bruskin and his wife, Bernice, of Highland Park, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon today at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, 222 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Douglass College Scholarship Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Quackenboss Funeral Home, New Brunswick.

DOROTHY SAGER, AGE 79, ISELIN
Dorothy (Henry) Sager, 79, of Iselin died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway.
She was born in Rahway and lived there until moving to Iselin in 1950. She was employed as an administration clerk/office manager for Queen City Finance Company in Iselin and the Sayreville Finance Company; and also for AVCO Finance Company in Linden and Union for 28 years, retiring in 1988. She was a 1942 graduate of Rahway High School. She was a communicant of St. Cecelia's R.C. Church in Iselin for 53 years. She was a member of the Iselin Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Colonia Senior Bowling League.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Clarence Sager; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and MaryAnn Sager of Hillsborough; two grandchildren, Kelly and Kristen, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, with a visitation from 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m., at the Thomas J. Costello Funeral Home, 200 Cooper Ave., Iselin, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Cecelia's R.C. Church in Iselin. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rahway. Visiting hours will also be held 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
