ALAN McPARTLAND, 40, WOODBRIDGE
A memorial service has been scheduled for Alan Joseph McPartland, 40, who died April 9 in New Brunswick. The memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge.
Born in Perth Amboy, Mr. McPartland was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge. He was a self-employed building contractor for many years.
Alan was predeceased by his father, Alfred McPartland, his stepfather, Oliver Brown, and a sister, Lisa McPartland. He is survived by a daughter, Melissa McPartland; his mother, Diana (nee Rummel) Brown; his grandmothers, Lorraine Rummel and Dorothy Johnson; three sisters, Linda McPartland, Susan McPartland and Shirley Brown; two brothers, Tracy Brown and Kelly Brown; two brothers-in-law, Stephen Pochek and Joseph Jancewicz; and a sister-in-law, Michelle Lopez. He was also the uncle of James Dunn and Erica Lynn Moore. Alan was a dear friend of Joseph T. Jancewicz and Vicki Lakatos.
Following the memorial service there will be a gathering of family and friends at the home of Diana Brown in Woodbridge. Arrangements are under the direction of Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay St., Perth Amboy.

ALOIS ISELBORN, 88, MONROE
Alois Iselborn, 88, died yesterday at The Elms Nursing Home, Cranbury.
Born in Germany, he lived in Edison for 38 years before moving to the Rossmoor community in Monroe. He was a stock broker on Wall Street in New York City for Josephthal & Co. for over 50 years. He later had a private office in Metuchen for seven years until his retirement in 1995. He served in the Army with the 344th Engineers during World War II and was a member of the Rossmoor Old Guard and Emerald Society. He was also a communicant of Our Lord R.C. Church in Monroe.
Surviving are his wife, Emma (Dudich) Iselborn; a daughter, Cynthia, and her husband, Charles M. Morris Jr., of Hamilton Square; two grandsons, Christopher C. and his wife, Holly F. Morris, and Michael J. and his wife, Alexandra A. Morris, and a great-granddaughter, McKinley J. Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church in Monroe Township. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery Mausoleum in Colonia. Visitation will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, 34th St. and Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104.

C. ALBERT MAC KENZIE, 75, COLONIA
C. Albert Mac Kenzie, 75, of Colonia died yesterday at Rahway Hospital.
Born in Liverpool, England, he lived in Bloomfield before moving to Colonia 44 years ago.
He was a professional firefighter in Bloomfield from 1948-1952.
He was a New Jersey State Police sergeant for over 29 years, working in the Hightstown, Flemington and Princeton barracks before retiring in 1981. He then worked in the Bureau of Investigation for the state Department of Transportation in Trenton for nine years before retiring in 1990.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, and the New Jersey State Troopers Association. He was also a Civil War enthusiast.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Evelyn; a son, Craig of Iselin; two daughters, Jean Myers of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Gail Rookstool of Bradenton, Fla., and five grandchildren, Brian and Jared Myers, and Christopher, Amanda and Carly Anne Mac Kenzie.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral service at New Dover Methodist Church in Edison. Burial will follow at Crest Haven Cemetery in Clifton. Visitation will be 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

DOROTHY FRISCH, 84, FORMERLY OF SOUTH AMBOY
Dorothy Frisch, 84, of Hazlet died yesterday at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in South Amboy before moving to Hazlet 12 years ago.
She was an assembly worker for Parkway Fabricators for 20 years before retiring in 1981.
Her husband, Wesley Sr., died in 1986. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Karlik of Matawan; two sons, Wesley Frisch Jr. of South Amboy and David Frisch of Grover Beach, Calif.; eight granddaughters, Catherine Bartlinski, Judy Hadinger, Tammy Hoeschele, Doreen Lavan, Dawn Sommers, Jennifer Karlik, Shirley Karlik and Alyson Reyes; five grandsons, Robert Frisch, Ronald Frisch, Karl Karlik, Kurt Karlik and Mathew Frisch, and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden. Visiting hours are 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

ELLEN BONGIOVANNI, 57, SOUTH AMBOY
Ellen J. Bongiovanni, 57, of Orlando, Fla. died Monday at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
She was born in South Amboy and lived there for many years before moving to central Florida in 1988, formerly residing in Naples, Fla., for a few months.
She was employed as an executive housekeeper. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orlando and was a member of the cancer support group at the church.
She is survived by her daughter, Nina Brown of Naples, Fla.; three sons, Brian Morlock of Orlando, Nat Bongiovanni of Sterling, Va., and Christopher Bongiovanni of Orlando; four sisters, Elizabeth Minor of Virginia Beach, Va., Patricia Naber, Sue Herrington and Rete Steigerwald, all of New Jersey; two brothers, Don O'Brien of California and Robert O'Brien of Deltona, Fla., and nine grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orlando. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Light Mausoleum at Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery in Kissimmee, Fla. Arrangements are by Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery, Funeral Home & Crematory, Kissimmee. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

EPIFANIA MEDINA, 62, NEW BRUNSWICK
Epifania Milagro Medina, 62, of New Brunswick died Tuesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, she had been a resident of New Brunswick for the past 44 years.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed watching soap operas on television and playing bingo. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, New Brunswick.
Surviving are her five sons, Robert Ortiz of Perth Amboy, Orlando Ortiz of Jersey City, Angel Gracia of Highland Park, Conrado "CJ" Gracia of New Brunswick and Eric Gracia of Sayreville; two daughters, Blanca Velez and Millie Gracia-Sims, both of New Brunswick; three sisters, Maria Torres of Port Monmouth, Doris Josino and Carmen Vasquez-Serrano, both of Puerto Rico; 20 grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Interment will take place at Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call 2 p.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

HELEN HOBBS, 80, EDISON
Helen Mae Hobbs, 80, died Tuesday at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
She was born and raised in Plainfield, and lived in Edison the past 48 years.
She was a homemaker. Her hobbies included walking and other outdoor activities, and traveling. She was a member of the Edison Senior Citizens and the American Association of Retired Persons.
She was predeceased by her parents, George and Alice (McGauley) Hurst.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Patricia Champino of Normandy Beach and Kathy Miers of Hillsborough, and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrew Miers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Ave., Edison, followed by a private cremation. Family and friends may call 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
