BIGGS, MYRA A. 102 - of Palermo, on Sunday, September 19, 2004 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point.
Born in Palermo, she had lived in Edison before moving back to Palermo in 1980.
Mrs., Biggs worked as a teacher and principal for Edison Public School System, Edison for 40 years before her retirement in 1964. She received her Doctorate Degree in Education from Rutgers University in 1953.
She was a lifetime member of N.E.A. and of the New Jersey P.T.A. and was a member of N.J.E.A. and Second Cape May Baptist Church, Palermo.
She was predeceased by her husband, William F. Biggs. There are no immediate survivors.
Her Funeral Service will be offered Friday morning at 11 o'clock from Second Cape May Baptist Church, South Shore Road, Palermo, where friends may call from ten o'clock until the time of service. Burial will follow in Seaside cemetery, Palermo.
The family suggests those who desire send memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice.

MANZO, JR., MICHAEL - of Sea Isle City, on September 19, 2004 beloved husband of the late Rita (nee Martucci), devoted father of Michael J. (Kathleen D.) Manzo, III, Robert (Christine L.) Manzo and Amelia (Gregory A. Sr.), Ferrara; loving grandfather of Michael IV, Gregory Jr., Bob, Kristin, Paul, Christopher, Laurel and Victoria; dear brother of Marie Davis, Richard Manzo and Bernadette Harbeson; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral, Friday, 8 a.m. from The Grasso Funeral Home, Broad and Shunk Sts., Philadelphia. Funeral Mass 9:30 a.m., Epiphany Church. Entombment St. Matthew Mausoleum, Conshohocken, PA. Viewing Thursday eve, 7-9. SMITH, SR., THOMAS M., 87 - of Millville, died Monday morning at South Jersey Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Millville he was a lifelong resident. Before his retirement in 1982 he was the Foreman for Mold Service at Wheaton Glass where he was employed for 42 years. Mr. Smith served on the Zoning Board during the '70's & 80's and was a former board member at Cumberland Manor during the 70's. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church where he served as an usher, a former 3rd Ward Chairman for the Democratic Party. He was member and past Grand Knight of K of C #1778 and a member of the St. John Newman Assembly. He enjoyed golf, casino trips and serving as Toast Master at various functions. Pre-deceased by his wife of 62 years Loretta (Nealis), a son Leo, brother James and sisters Ann Daly and Marie Fitzgerald. He is survived by five sons, Thomas M., Jr. of Lansdale, PA, Timothy M. & wife Tammy of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Terrance M. of Millville, Kevin P of Vineland and Jeffery M. & wife Michelle of St. Simon Island, GA, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary Magdalen Church. The burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. A viewing will be held at the Barbetti Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St., on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday morning from 9 to 9:30 a.m.

GRADIA, SR., JOSEPH D., 64 - of Hammonton, died Monday in Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital. Mr. Gradia was a self-employed general contractor. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 434 in Vineland. Mr. Gradia is survived by his six children, Helen Branin of Hammonton, Stephanie Sargent of Erial, Joseph D. Gradia, Jr. of Collings Lakes, Frankie Gradia, Mary Melora and John Gradia, all of Hammonton; one brother, Thomas Alvino of Medford; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be held Thursday 12:30 p.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where relatives and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Hammonton.

BROWN, GAIL SAHA, 61 - of Brant Beach, passed away September 19, 2004 at her home. Mrs. Brown was born in Ridley Park, PA, daughter of the late Ludwig J. and Elizabeth F. Donohue Saha. Formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, Broomall, PA and Springfield, PA. Mrs. Brown was an Administrative Assistant/ Bookkeeper for Long Beach Island Real Estate for four years. Previously employed at Westinghouse Corporation and The Agnes Irwin School. She graduated from Holy Child Academy in Sharon Hill, PA class of 1961. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Barnegat Light VFW Post 3729. Mrs. Brown traveled extensively with her husband for his business. She also enjoyed reading, crabbing and time spent with family and friends.
Survived by her husband of twenty eight years, David J. Brown, two daughters, Tracey Ann Smith (Robert), Stroudsburg, PA and Jill Frances Quagliariello (John), Springfield, PA, a son, Daniel John Brown, Los Angeles, CA and Brant Beach, and his fianc‚e Leigh-Ann, grandmother of Robert Smith, Jr., John Jr. and Matthew Quagliariello, sister of Alexandra S. Vanselous, Slidell, LA and the late Elizabeth Ann Shea, Elaine Hey and Ludwig Saha.
Mass will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach. Visitation 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment 2:30 p.m. Thursday at SS Peter and Paul cemetery, Springfield, PA.

HALL, SAMUEL "SONNY BOY" "JEW SAM", 76 - of Atlantic City, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17,2004 at the Atlantic City Medical Center - Mainland-Division. Born in Elizabeth, North Carolina he had been a resident of Atlantic City for many years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Before retiring, he worked for the Atlantic City Housing Authority, as a Truck Driver and in the earlier years of his life he was employed by Losseff and Son Wholesale Food Company. Predeceased by his parents, Odessa George and Sam Hall, his youngest son, Darryl W. Hall, his sister, Audrey Overton, his brother, Bobby Marshall and his loving aunt who raised him, Catherine Hall Coleman; He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Hall; two daughters, Adrienne Harrison and Patricia B. "Aisha" Hall, all of Atlantic City, two sons, Pastor Michael Hall and his wife Darcel Fisher Hall, of Bowie, Maryland and Samuel Henry Hall. of Atlantic City; one brother, Earl Farrow, of Pleasantville; 10 grandchildren, William L., Nitketa S., Danyel and Jocelyn Hall, LaToya Davis and Karl B. "Aree" Karla L., Ja'mal D., Jabril C. and Stephen Hall; 17 great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Blanche Pinder; a brother-in-law, Aaron Johnson; the Overton Family of Pleasantville and a host of other relatives and friends. NEIBERGALL, JOEANN BURGESS, 66 - of Lumberton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday from the Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly. Born in Richwood, West Virginia, and formerly of Vineland. Mrs. Neibergall had lived in Lumberton for over 45 years. She was a waitress for the Esquire Diner for many years. She was a member of the Church of God in Mt. Holly. She is survived by a brother: Charles Burgess and his wife, Barbara of Vineland and a sister: Maxine Allen and her husband, Mel, and also many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday at 1 PM in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home, where friends may call from 12:30 PM. Burial will follow Greenwood Memorial Park.

GIRARDI, PHILIP P., 78 - of Landisville, Landisville, died peacefully surrounded by his family at South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland, Sunday, September 19, 2004.
He attended Vineland High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving in Okinawa during World War II. He was a machine operator for Kimble Glass for 25 years. He was president of the AFGWU, Local 701 for 15 years. He was elected in 1971 to be a national representative for the American Flint Glassworker's Union. He represented the glass workers as vice-president of NJ AFL-CIO. He retired in 1996. Phil loved music and sports. He was a player and manager of the Onized Softball Team in Vineland.
He is survived by: wife, Susan (Ciocco) Girardi, Landisville; son & his wife, Philip & Denise Girardi Toms River; son & his wife, Stephen & Phillipa Girardi, South Orange; daughter & husband: Lisa & Joe Iannelli, Deptford; daughter & husband: Ellen & Ross Rondinelli, Jamesburg; grandchildren: Rosemary, Nina & Matthew Girardi, Dominic Iannelli & Gabe Molina; sister & husband: Rosetta & Louis Lechner, Vineland. Predeceased by parents, Dominick & Mary Girardi, predeceased sister, Cookie Ruggeri.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM from the Queen Of Angels Parish At Our Lady Of Victories Church, 202 Northwest Boulevard, Landisville. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Victories cemetery, Landisville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 9 pm and again Thursday 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Rone Funeral Service.

FITCHETT, JR., FRED F., 78 - of Hammonton, died Monday, September 20, 2004 at his residence. Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Fred retired from R.C.A. in Camden as an Electronic Tech. He also worked for Suburban Gas and Propane, Frank Mazza & Sons, and Penza Hardware. He served as a gunners mate in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II, and was a member of the American Legion Post #186. He was a life member of the United Methodist Church and served in many positions including a licensed Minister, Trustee, and Organist. Surviving are his wife, Ellen R. (nee Clark); three sons, Frederick F. Fitchett III (Lova) of Haddon Heights, Clark A. Fitchett of Barrington, and Wesley P. Fitchett (Debbie) of Sicklerville; loving grandfather of Kimberly, Whitham, Abigal, Mackenzie and Alexis Fitchett. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 10:00 a.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church, Bellevue Ave., Hammonton. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. at the church. SHEPHERD, MILTON JOSEPH, "SHEP" 84 - of Goshen, formerly of South Philadelphia. a retired member of the Elevator Union and president of the South Jersey chapter of The Battle of the Bulge, died Friday. Retired in 1982 from Union No.5, last position was at Hahnemann Hospital.
Had lived for the past 22 years in Goshen. He previously had a summer home in Green Creek, since 1953.
He was extremely proud of his military service. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the 8th Armored Division as a sergeant always noting that he served under General Patton. His decorations include the Bronze Star. He had been a First Sergeant in the New Jersey Army National Guard at Woodbury.
Each summer for the past 15 years he enjoyed going to reunions of his unit in various parts of the country and seeing his old Army buddies.
"He was very handy around the house, always fixing and building. He built a horse barn in Goshen for his granddaughter Shana. When he was no longer able to do the work himself he became a great teacher - he would sit and teach his grandson, Ryan, how to do the little things that needed doing around the house," recalled Dorothy Hewitt, a daughter.
Shep enjoyed fishing, hunting, building and flying remote controlled airplanes in his retirement, and conversing endlessly on the telephone with his many friends about whatever issues were in the news. He never gave up on our world. Though sometimes pessimistic about the present state of affairs of humanity, he always wanted people to know that they could make a difference and change the future for the better. Always the handy-man, he believed careful action and calm thinking could fix anything. He always said, "Measure twice, and cut once."
Shepherd was a member of American Legion Thurston Wood Post 198 in Cape May Court House. He was president and a founder of the South Jersey Chapter Battle of the Bulge, and a former member of the Wildwood Crest Fishing Club. He had been a Cub Scout leader for 15 years at Trinity Lutheran Church in Philadelphia where he also served on the church council.
Survivors also include his wife, the former Anna Maas; two other daughters, Nancy Seymour and Susan Ferrell, a son, Robert, three other grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Goshen United Methodist Church, Route 47N, Goshen. Burial will be in Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

GARDNER, GLADYS A., (MATTHEWS) 81 - of Erma, died Monday in Holy Family Hospital in Altoona, PA. Mrs. Gardner was born in Erma and was a lifetime resident. She graduated from Cape May High School,, Class of 1941. She worked several years as a seamstress for Paramount Air Service. She was a Mayflower descendent of the John Howland family. She attended the Church of the Nazarene, Erma.
Mrs. Gardner was predeceased by her husband Norman Gardner in 1985.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen w. Gardner, of Erma and Thomas E. Gardner, of Altoona, PA; a sister, Rietta Cazza, of Florida.
Funeral service3s will be held on Saturday at 11 am in the Sudak-Danaher Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am to 11 sm. Burial will follow in Tabernacle cemetery, Erma.

CASTELLINI, VINCENT J., 91 - of Vineland, passed away early Sunday morning in the Millville Center of Genesis Elder Care after a long and full life. Vinnie was born, raised and lived his entire life in Vineland. He was the son of the late Louis V. and Marie Bagliani Castellini and the husband, for seventy years, of the late Violet (Hoffman) Castellini who died January 1, 2004. He was also predeceased by a daughter and son in law, Barbara J. and Anthony Consalo.
Vinnie operated L. V. Castellini and Son Farm first with his father and then on his own until 1973. The property was then sold to make way for the construction of Mennies School. After his retirement from farming, Vinnie worked for the William Spencer Co. in Newfield until the age of 81. He was a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart RC Church in Vineland as well as a member and Past Director of the Vineland Produce Auction. Vinnie loved hunting and was a longtime member of the Fellowship Gunning Club in Sweetwater.
Poppie will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Janet and Lou Sepers, Arlene and Wayne Smith, Vincent "Skip" and Denise Consalo; his great-grandchildren, Andrea Sepers and her fianc‚, Jason Johnson, Matthew and Christina Sepers, Daniel Sepers, Wayne Smith, Jr., Barbara Smith, Catherine (Katie) Smith, Chelsea Consalo, Anthony (A.J.) Consalo, Sarah Consalo; and his great-great grandchild, Leigha Sepers, all of Vineland.
His funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11AM on Wednesday, at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Anthony and Barbara Consalo Memorial Scholarship Fund, C/O Janet Sepers, 1243 Riviera Blvd., Vineland., NJ 08361.
