He was preceded in death by his father, Sirenio Jose Olivas.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Olivas of Ranchitos, fiancée Maria Martinez; children, Manuel Sotero, Susanna and Angelita Olivas; stepchildren, Dominica, Desiree and Crystal Olivas, all of San Pedro; brothers, Johnny Olivas, Jose Olivas and wife Ruth, Ramon Olivas and fiancée Juanita Martinez, Manuel Olivas and wife, Dolores, Michael Olivas and fiancée Rachel, Danny Olivas and companion Maria, Gene Padilla and wife Roanna, Oliver Torres and companion Heather, Jude Torres and companion Marcella; sisters, Gloria Madrid and husband Louis, Susana Baca and husband Andy, and Lupe Hosek and husband Greg.
A public visitation will be held at 4 p.m. today at Block Salazar Mortuary followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church in San Juan with burial services to follow at Santa Cruz Cemetery.

MARIE R. PENNINGTON, 83, of Sunshine Valley died unexpectedly Sunday.
She was the daughter of John Ambrose and Lucy Rader. She and her husband had resided in Silver City for 35 years and were owners of the Broadway Supermarket and Pennington Brothers Grocery Wholesale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Forester" Pennington.
She is survived by her daughter, Marion Williams of Sunshine Valley; two grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Masonic Cemetery in Silver City.

She served as a sacristan for St. Francis Cathedral since 1958.
Born in Lumberton, she was the daughter of the late Jose Ignacio and Juanita Trujillo Garcia.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Elias N. and Presciliano Garcia; and sisters, Deluvina Lucero and Gregorita Mercure.
She is survived by her brother, Jose G. Garcia and wife Helen; and many other relatives and friends.
