ANGELO RAYMOND "RANDY" CRABB
Angelo Raymond "Randy" Crabb, 29, of Estancia passed away May 29, 2006 in Lordsburg.
Randy was born March 12, 1977, to Jerry W. Crabb and Jullie Nocera in Albuquerque.
Randy is survived by his parents, Jerry W. and wife Victoria Crabb of Fort Sumner, and Jullie Nocera; two sons, Trevor and Astanyx Jade Crabb; grandparents, Raymond and Delores Crabb; uncles and aunts, Torrance and Patty Norsworthy, Bill and Kellie Norsworthy, Newton Norsworthy, Rick and Raylene Crabb; great uncles and aunts, Richard and Barbara Horton, James and Shirley Solomon; and brother, Mike and wife Stephanie Crabb.
Randy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service was held Tuesday at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Mountainair. Randy will be entered into rest at Lake Sumne

MARIA LOURDES PABLITA CHAVEZ
Maria Lourdes Pablita Chavez, 84, a lifetime resident of Torreon, passed away June 3, 2006 at her home.
She was born March 13, 1922, to Antonio O. and Concepcion (Vigil) Chavez in Torreon. She married Fidel Gabaldon Chavez on June 3, 1938, in Torreon. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1998.
She was a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon and a member of the Rosary Altar Society.
Mrs. Chavez is survived by seven sons, Richard Chavez and wife Socorro, Leon Chavez, Tercio Chavez, Leroy Chavez and wife Irene, Gilbert Chavez and wife Maxine, Fidel Chavez Jr. and George Chavez and wife Rita; three daughters, Concepcion Candelaria and husband Leroy, Rosemary Chavez and Angela Valenzuela and husband Jose; two brothers, Joe Chavez and Tony Chavez; three sisters, Amalia Tafoya, Melba Vigil and Rose Salas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Juan and Theresa; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Natividad Chavez, and several brothers and sisters. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A rosary was recited Sunday and a Mass was celebrated Monday, both at San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon with Father Richard Olona officiating. Burial followed at the Torreon Cemetery in Torreon.

JOSEPH H. PARNELL SR.
Joseph H. Parnell Sr. (Maj. USAF Ret.), 86, a World War II and Korean War veteran, died May 23, 2006 at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colo., where he was a patient at the VA Nursing Home Care Unit.
Joseph was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Munford, Ala., where he attended school. He was drafted into the military one day before Pearl Harbor in 1941.
Joseph served his country 23 years, winning his wings in February 1944, and his commission as 2nd Lieutenant.
He served in China, Japan, Korea and Germany with his last assignment at Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico, where he was aircraft commander of a KC-135, refueling B-52s during the Cold War. He retired from active duty June 1, 1964, with the status of command pilot.
Joseph earned many medals including Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with two oakleaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal, Korean War Service Medal, National Defense Medal and many campaign and service awards.
He is survived by his wife, Doris, of the family home in Tijeras; son, Samuel S. (Laura) Parnell; granddaughters, Jessica Bryant and Amanda Parnell; great-granddaughter, Aubrey D'Angelo; sister, Mildred, who resides in an assisted living facility in Alabama; and many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph H. Parnell Jr., 1st Lt. U.S. Army - Helicopter Pilot.
Cremation was handled by Montgomery & Steward Crematorium in Pueblo. His remains will be interred Friday at 10 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver with full military honors. Online condolences, www.MontgomerySteward.com.

LORENE LOVE GROFF DAVIS
Lorene Love Groff Davis, 86, of El Paso, Texas, passed away June 5, 2006 in El Paso.
Lorene was born Dec. 16, 1919, in Tapia, N.M., to Albert and Amy Love. Lorene had a twin brother, Joe Dean Love, that preceded her in death.
She lived her first 40 years in Moriarty. Even living in El Paso for the past 46 years she always felt Moriarty was her home. Lorene married Lawrence Groff in 1937. A daughter, Jo Ann, was born to the marriage. Lorene had the honor of being Moriarty's first lady in 1954 when Lawrence was elected Moriarty's first mayor. Lawrence preceded her in death in 1965. Lorene was honored to be invited to participate in the dedication of the new civic center in 2001.
Lorene later married Jack Davis, and a son, Roger, was born.
Lorene had been a caretaker to all during her life. She always put others before herself and took great pride in keeping her home clean and orderly. Her grandson, Gary, was like her own son and lived with Lorene and Jack most of his life.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Davis; her daughter, Jo Ann Del Curto; her son, Roger Davis; grandchildren, Gary Davis, Scott Carter, and David Carter and wife Monique; great-grandchildren, Dylan Carter, Lawrence Reese Carter, Ashley and Alyssa Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorene was preceded in death by her mother, Amy; her dad, Albert; her brothers, Joe Dean and Woodrow Love; a sister, Alva Lee Chandler; a half-brother, Elmer; and a half-sister, Cloy.
A viewing will be held today at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Moriarty. The funeral service will be today at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Tom Schenk officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty.

WILLIAM LARS BERRY
William Lars Berry, 60, formerly of Tijeras, passed away May 25, 2006 in Albuquerque after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 27, 1945, in Chicago, Ill., the son of William R. and Elaine Larsen Berry. He worked as a welding engineer and quality assurance manager for various building and industrial companies in Illinois and New Mexico and was most recently employed by Price Distributing Inc.
Willy will be remembered as a gifted musician and an avid woodcutter, who shared the fruits of his labors to warm many an East Mountain hearth.
He is survived by his mother; four brothers, Jim, Dave, Steve and Scott; two sisters, Jeanne Nelson and Julie Maggiolo; many nieces and nephews; ex-wife and friend, Dawn Bradley; mother-in-law, Clarette Bradley; and numerous friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in the Manzano Mountains.

KYLE JOE MUSICK
Kyle Joe Musick, 46, of Albuquerque passed away May 24, 2006 at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1959, in Farmington to William Charles and Naomia Jean Justus Musick. In 1960 the family moved to Grants, where Kyle lived until he graduated from high school in 1977. In 1983 Kyle graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a bachelor of arts degree, majoring in art. He attended Eastern New Mexico University from 1987-89, where he graduated with a bachelor of arts in education, majoring in English. While attending ENMU, Kyle was the head strength coach for the Lone Star Champions, the ENMU Greyhound football team. In 1989 Kyle began his teaching career at Eunice Municipal Schools. From 1991-95 he was art director for Portales Municipal Schools, where he coordinated the art program for more than 1,600 elementary students. Kyle taught art in the Hondo Valley Schools from 1995-96, at which time he took the position as art instructor for the Moriarty Municipal Schools.
During his tenure at Moriarty schools Kyle had an impact in many young lives. He often used his art program to reach out to students who were not experiencing success in other areas of their lives.
He is survived by his father, William Charles Musick of Clovis; brother, Kevin Musick of Clovis; sister-in-law, Therese Michael Musick of Clovis; niece, Jennifer Crowder and husband Brian and daughter Madyson Jean Crowder, all of Clovis; niece, Jessica Williams and husband Ronnie Williams of Clovis; nephew, Justin Musick and wife Jana Massey Musick of Clovis; and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Naomia Jean Justus Musick; paternal grandparents, John and Carrie Musick; maternal grandparents, Claude and Miriam Justus; uncle, Orville Justus; and cousin, Dwight Justus.
A memorial service was held Wednesday at the 21st Street Church of Christ in Clovis, with Mike Kennedy officiating. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in Moriarty.
Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Kyle Musick Scholarship Fund at the Moriarty schools.
