MICHAEL HOULNE
Michael "Mikey" Houlne, 48, passed away in his sleep on Jan. 28, 2006 at his sister's home in Boise, Idaho, after a lengthy illness.
Mikey was born in Manchester, N.H., on April 1, 1957. He was retired from being an interstate transporter of RVs and vehicles.
He was noted for always giving of himself and his door was always open to those in need.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia of Boise; brothers James of Estancia, Budd from Alameda, Calif., and Charles of Virginia Beach, Va.; and his extended family and special friends, not only from our local valley but across the United States.
A gathering will be held at VFW Post 3370, south of Moriarty on Highway 41, on Saturday at 2 p.m.
RUPERT A. HATTER
Rupert A. Hatter, 69, of Edgewood passed away Jan. 28, 2006 at his home after a long battle with ALS.
Born in Canada, he retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service as a master sergeant.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mona; daughter, Susan; sons, David and Don; stepdaughters, Michelle, Denise, Mona, Patty, Tina and Joni; stepsons David and Craig; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Santa Fe National cemetery in Santa Fe.
The family is requesting that a donation be sent to the ALS Foundation.
FAITH WARRICK
Faith Warrick of Mountainair died Jan. 15 in Albuquerque.
Faith was the beloved infant daughter of Brock and Stacy Warrick. She was born Jan. 15, 2006.
Faith is survived by her parents; a sister, Alyson Raye Warrick of the home; maternal grandparents, Edward and Diana Padilla of Mountainair; paternal grandparents, Billy and Lanee Warrick of Water Valley, Texas; great-grandparents, Erineo and Mollie Padilla of Mountainair, and Billy and Ellen Warrick of Hereford, Texas, and Virginia Welch of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Vega, Texas.
Funeral services for Faith were held Jan. 19 at the St. Alice Catholic Parish in Mountainair with Father Ron Stone officiating. Interment followed at the Mountainair cemetery.

WILLIAM DEE PROCTOR
William Dee Proctor, 65, of Corona passed away Jan. 22, 2006 in Ruidoso.
Dee was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Corona to Floyd and Loretta (Porter) Proctor. Dee worked as a rancher on the family ranch.
He is survived by his companion, Mary Chamberland; sons, Todd Proctor and wife Diana of Capitan, and Tim Proctor and Marilyn Anderson of Farmington; a daughter, Altina Shelley and husband Bert of Nixa, Mo.; brothers, Floyd Earl Proctor and wife Peggy of Corona, Norris Proctor and wife Fran of Bluewater, N.M., and John Proctor of Corona; sisters, Loretta Jones and Radna Proctor, both of Tatum, N.M., and Veda Proctor and Alma Hobbs, both of Texas; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and The Honorable Martha McKnight Proctor, his former wife of 29 years.
All that knew and loved him will miss Dee.
A funeral service was held Wednesday at the Proctor Family Ranch in Corona with Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Proctor Family Cemetery in Corona.

JOE E. GURULE
Joe E. Gurule, 69, of Willard passed away on Jan. 21, 2006 in Albuquerque with his loving family beside him.
Joe was born Sept. 28, 1936, in Torreon to Epifanio and Elena (Chavez) Gurule. Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict as a chief petty officer and served aboard an aircraft carrier. After retiring from the Navy, Joe worked as a school teacher for the Estancia and Mountainair public schools.
He is survived by his sons, Randal James Gurule, Eric Gurule and Arnold Albert Gurule; aunts, Mary Gurule Macias and Ruth Russell; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. All that knew and loved him will miss Joe.
A rosary was recited Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Willard. Mass will be celebrated today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows with Father Ron Stone officiating.

WALTER LEE MILLER
Walter Lee Miller, 80, of Bosque Farms passed away Jan. 10, 2006, in Albuquerque with his loving family beside him.
Walter was born July 25, 1925, in Grimes, Okla., to Walter Lee Sr. and Grace (Wood) Miller. He came to New Mexico with his parents, settling south of Mountainair, in 1928. In 1943, they moved to Albuquerque. At the age of 18, he gave his life to Jesus and was baptized in the Assembly of God Church. On Feb. 12, 1955, he married Eunice Mary Krim, who preceded him in death. He married Sibyl E. Cranfield on July 5, 1986, in Bosque Farms. She survives him at the home in Bosque Farms.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas James Miller and wife, Dorothy, of Castle Rock, Colo., and Keith Vincent Miller and wife, Julia, of Los Lunas; daughters, Laura Lee Mills and husband, Marvin; Mary Lorene Reinhold and husband, Jerry; and Ruthann Vanda Miller, all of of Los Lunas; one stepdaughter, Gale Lovell of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, Heather Carr, Amy Shaw, Levi Hinshaw, Eric Mills and Brandy Jesser; three step-granddaughters; 13 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. All that knew and loved Walter will miss him.
Services were held Saturday at the Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Mountainair with Pastors Doris Jaquess and Shirley Sweet officiating. Interment followed at the Mountainair Cemetery.

CRECENCIA A. NEVAREZ
Crecencia A. Nevarez, 81, of McIntosh passed away Jan. 10, 2006 at home with her loving family beside her.
Crecencia was born April 19, 1924, in Saltillo, Mexico, to Jesus Andrade and Ignacia (Gallegos) Alvarado. She married Francisco Nevarez in Juarez, Mexico.
Crecencia is survived by her husband, Francisco, of the home; sons, Felipe M. Nevarez and wife, Suzanne, and Genaro Nevarez and wife, Nelly; brothers, Gabino Andrade, and Isabel Andrade and wife, Maria; a sister, Gertrudes Andrade; five grandchildren, Erica Mora and husband, Francisco, Vincent Martinez, Felipe R. Nevarez, Isaac Nevarez and Elizabeth Nevarez; three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Mora, Elvis Mora and Isaac Nevarez; as well as many nieces and nephews. Crecencia will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
