Victoriana Otero, 85, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, June 19, 1998. Services are pending and will be announced. Arrangements under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.

Lupe Portillos, 81, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, June 18, 1998. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, niece and friend; a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Fred and wife, Trudy; daughter, Flora Tafoya, both of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Lillian and Freddie Pohl, Ralph and Louis Tafoya, Lisa Portillos, Margaret and Michael, John and Denise Portillos, Yvette Portillos; great-grandchildren, Vanessa and Larry Flores, Eric Pohl, Marissa Pohl, Domonic Tafoya, Daniel Tafoya, Alexa Pohl, Isaiah Portillos; great-great-grandchild, Isaac Flores; sisters, Nestora Moya and Mercedes Sanchez; uncle, Joe Miguel Baca. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated this morning, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Freddie Pohl, Lillian Pohl, Ralph Tafoya, John Portillos, Margaret Tafoya and Michael Gonzales. Honorary casketbearer will be Eric Pohl. Services are under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.

Celso Quintana, a ranch hand for over 30 years, died April 4, at his home in Pittsburg, CA. He was 86. The native of Alamo Gordo, NM, lived in Pittsburg, CA for eight years. He last worked for Sam Hill Ranch in Bernalillo, NM. He also worked for various dairy farms in New Mexico. He was raised in Bernalillo, NM. He enjoyed walking and the outdoors. He is survived by his daughter, Genevieve Zaste of Pittsburg, CA; son, Frank D. Quintana of Arlington, VA; sisters, Tommie Farfan of Farmington, NM, Rosie Baca, Ella Perea and Vickie Burkeholder, all of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services: 10:00 a.m., Funeral Mass, Monday, June 22, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM, with inurnment at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery in Bernalillo, NM.

Dr. Anne Marie Brough Keller Rense, age 43, former resident of Santa Fe, passed away on Friday, June 5, 1998 in Cleveland, OH, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Madelene Brough of Santa Fe (deceased) and Howard Brough, former owner and operator of the 'Tastee Freeze' on Cerrillos Road. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother, Hayden Brough. Anne Marie was an outstanding long distance and marathon runner and was on the founding teams of the Albuquerque Olympette Club and Duke City Dashers. She attended Santa Fe High and graduated from Rice University in Houston and University of Texas Medical School in Houston. She loved animals and she loved to argue, but above all she loved her son, Nathan. She supported education and should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's High School Odyssey of the Mind, 427 Luisa Place, Santa Fe, NM 87505. She is survived by her son, Nathaniel, age 8, of Cleveland, OH; her father, Howard Brough of Santa Fe; her sister, Laurie Brough Farber-Condon and husband, Michael Condon; and nieces, Aviva Farber Bridget Condon of Santa Fe; her brother, Harvey Brough and wife, Bonnie and their son, Steve of Roswell, NM; nephew, Hans Brough and wife, Kerri of San Luis Obispo, CA; niece, Heidi Brough Lampe and husband, Mark and daughter, Cypress of Redondo, CA; former brother-in-law, Aram Nathaniel Farber of Santa Fe; and good friend, Dr. Anita Willett Pais of Taos, NM, who was like a sister; and many cousins. Cremation has taken place and no service will be held in Santa Fe. Her ashes will be put in the garden at her father's home in the foothills of Santa Fe, where she loved to sit in the sun and look out over the valley.

Barbara Till, 33, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 12, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Till; parents, Joy and Wayne Hanson I, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Wayne Hanson II and wife, Denise of New Orleans, LA, Martin Hanson and wife, Patricia of Albuquerque, Michael Hanson of Albuquerque; sister, Marla Luong of Albuquerque; nieces, Lisa and Amanda Luong and Christina Hanson; nephews, David Luong, Jordan and Andrew Hanson; grandmother, Alta Hanson of Zanesville, OH; and many other relatives and friends. Barbara was born March 24, 1965 at Holloman AFB in Alamogordo, NM. She graduated from Sandia High School in 1983 and was employed with the family business, H & N Services, for 13 years. Barb and Joe were married at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church on June 1, 1991. Services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Al McLane officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to New Mexico Emergency Services Council, c/o NM Department of Public Safety-Search and Rescue Office, P.O. Elijah Tyre Apache, 2 months, was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 27, 2002. He is survived by his parents; Albert Tyrone and Ramona Apache of Albuquerque; brother, Amadeus Apache; and sister, Kiyana Apache. Services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at Calvary Chapel in the Hub, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Monday, July 1, 2002 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. 'God filled my quiver with arrows- one; two; three; and no matter where they are, they will always be here with me.'

Michael (Bucky) Dominguez, 52, lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM was called home to the Lord, June 27, 2002. Michael was born on May 16, 1950, in Bernalillo. Michael was a loving and supportive husband, father, tata, son, brother and friend. Michael enjoyed playing with his grandkids and spoiling his girls. He loved eating his wife Carmen's home cooking and drinking coffee with his mom on Saturday mornings. Michael enjoyed spending time in his garage and working on his '50 Chevy. Michael worked hard but also liked relaxing at home, listening to music and spending time with friends. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Michael is preceded in death by; his father, Willie Dominguez; and brother, Ernie Dominguez. He is survived by; his loving wife of 32 years, Carmen; children, Missy Montoya and husband, Vince, Stacey Torres and husband, Edward III, and Nichole Chavez and husband, Santiago; mother, Laura Dominguez; grandchildren, Edward Torres IV, Zachary Torres, and Santino Chavez. Also surviving; are brothers and sisters, Gloria Barros, Martin Dominguez, Patsy Lovato, Debbie Dominguez, James Dominguez, and Gabriel Dominguez. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. A rosary will be recited Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday July 3, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, NM. A private interment will follow at a later date. Pallbearers will be; Eddie Torres, Jr., Sefe Montoya, James Chaves, Randy Torres, James Dominguez, Gabriel Dominguez, Ernie Garcia, Leonard Chavez, Joe Arnett, Arthur Montano, Zeke Quintana, Mike Montano, and John Padilla. Funeral services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, 898-3160.

Vincent Gonzales, born April 9, 1965, died June 28, 2002. Services to be held at Direct Services, 2919 Fourth Street, NW, on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at 3:00 p.m.

Walter Edward Jenkins went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 27, 2002. He was born August 6, 1924, in West Virginia, but resided most of his life in Tulsa, OK. Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife, Anita Jenkins of Rio Rancho; children, Barbara Jenkins of Chicago, IL, Cheryl Lueck and husband, Gary of Albuquerque, Judy Jenkins-Goforth and husband, Ray of Tulsa, OK; Bryant Roberson and wife, Kristin of Rio Rancho, Stacy Johnson and husband, Robby of Tulsa, OK; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Jenkins of Rio Rancho and Ed Jenkins of Chuluota, FL; and sisters, Margarite Huntsberry of Albuquerque and Betty Lou Miller of Atlanta, GA. He retired from Amoco Oil Company where he was a research Glassblower prior to his move to Rio Rancho to retire. Mr. Jenkins served in the Navy in WWII as a bombardier earning numerous commendations. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Private services will be officiated by Terry Willis of Calvary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sandia Hospice Pavilion, 4725 Indian School NE, Suite 100, 87110. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Leo 'Lee' F. McNaney died June 23, 2002, at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by a brother, Robert McNaney and wife, Janet; daughter, Maureen McNaney and husband, Jeff Shapusas; son, Timothy McNaney and wife, Julia; grandson, Matthew McNaney; four nephews and two nieces; and special friend, Michele Lombard. Lee was born in River Forest, Illinois on November 8, 1938, and had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1976. Lee had a large family of friends at the Tennis Club of Albuquerque, of which he was a member for many years. A mass will be celebrated at The Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas Road NE. on the UNM campus, on Monday, July 1, 2002, at 3:00 p.m. Parking is available on Yale Blvd. in the ROTC parking lot. A reception will follow at the Albuquerque Tennis Club. The family and friends of Lee want to express their gratitude to Laurel View Healthcare and Presbyterian Hospice. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lee's name to the UNM CRTC, 900 Camino de Salud NE 87131, Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Place NE 87110, THE Newman Center, address above, or a charity of your choice. Final visitation for Mr. Floyd Rubi will be Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph On the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Pl., NW by Father Frank Prieto. Alcario M. Saiz went to be with our Lord Saturday, June 29, 2002 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his wife, Manuelita (Lita); and a son, Juanito. He is survived by; two daughters, Ann Wanger and husband, Bill, and Julia Garcia and husband, Gene; six grandchildren, Donna Wanger, Debbie Jaramillo and husband, Ruben, Anita Barker, Grace Maestas and husband, Joseph, Carolyn Peralta and husband, Lawrence, and Walter Garcia and wife, Lola; six great-grandchildren, Mathew, Cristina, Amanda, Cheyenne, Tracey and Desiree; one sister, Mary Sanchez and husband, Ponfilo; and many nieces and nephews. The Visitation will be held Monday, July 1, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at the Ascencion Parish, 2150 Raymac Road. A mass will be celebrated following at 5:30 p.m. at the Assencion Parish. Burial will be at the cemetery in San Acacia, NM on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. The Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW is in charge of arrangements.

Mass of Christian Burial for Deluvina 'Dell' C. Sanchez will be celebrated on Monday morning at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222.

Dora N. Suhr, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1924, died in her home in the company of her children Thursday, June 27, 2002 after an illness. She is survived by her children; son, Bryan Suhr and wife, Dodie; daughter, Doris Razura, all of Albuquerque; grandson, Sihu Suhr and wife, Jen Howard of Pasadena, CA, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Suhr and sister, Florence Dingman. Dora was a member of DAR, Zia Roamers and Highland Baptist Church where she served in the Women's Missionary Society. She was an avid reader, camper and world traveler satisfying a life filled with curiosity and wonderment. In the arms of angels, may you find some comfort there. We love you, Mom. Services will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE with Pastor John Imbrey officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Monday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Ina V. Baca, 93, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, June 28, 2002. She is survived by her nephew, Charles Baca; niece, Helen Garcia and husband, Oscar, all of Albuquerque; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Wednesday, 5:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Helen Lockwood Baker, 80, passed away on June 28 in Albuquerque. After graduating from Sidney High School in Nebraska she studied nursing at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where she became a Registered Nurse in 1945. She moved to Texas and worked in tuberculosis hospitals near Kerrville for several years. In 1947 she married Girdo Marion Baker. They had two children, David George and Nancy Jean. Helen Lockwood Baker worked as a Registered Nurse in Colorado, Texas, Kansas and New Mexico. She earned her bachelor's degree in management from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas in 1979. After earning her bachelor's degree, she worked as a nursing home administrator in Kansas. While living in Kansas she served in the Silver Haired Legislature and ran for the Kansas State Legislature in 1989. She returned to New Mexico in 1993. In retirement she participated in the Senior Olympics winning several local, state and national medals in air gun competition, 100 meter run and shuffleboard. She is survived by her longtime companion, Gwen Baughman; her son, David of Santa Rosa, CA; daughter, Nancy and husband, Brian Tafoya of Albuquerque; her two sisters, Zepha Hinkle of New Prague, Minnesota and Mildred Swanson of Dalton, Nebraska; and her two grandchildren, Brianne and Jacob Tafoya of Albuquerque. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on July 5, 2002 in the garden area at Three Fountains Apartment Complex, 2212 Lester Drive NE. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the New Mexico chapter of the American Diabetes Association.

John F. Benson, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2002. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Keith and Christopher. He leaves behind his loving wife, Celia; seven daughters, two sons, four sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He served honorably in the US Air Foce and the US Marine Corps and retired as a Safety Engineer. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched. Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at 9;30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption, 811 Guaymas NE. Private burial will take place in Old Mesilla, NM at a later date.

Mary S. Dorrance, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1966 and previous resident of Cimarron, NM, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Alfred A. Dorrance; daughter, Dolores E. Gammon and husband, Edward A; grandson, Edward Eric Gammon and wife, Sherry, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Filbert Sanchez of Santa Fe, Pete Sanchez and wife, Florence of Pueblo, CO and Matt Sanchez and wife, Angie of California; sister, Henrietta Sanchez of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mary was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 9:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal SE, with Father Bob Chabot, Celebrante. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideons International, c/o Bob Alvis, 3020 Camino Real Ct. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111. Services are pending. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
