Grace L. Richard, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away at her home on January 20, 2001. She was born on June 1, 1928 in Wolverton, MN, the daughter of Lars and Kari Nygaard. She is survived by her husband, Daniel F. Richard, whom she married on December 27, 1948 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Fargo, ND. She is also survived by three sons, Ronnie Richard, his wife Tina, sons, Ryan, Aaron, and daughter, Corey; Allen Richard, sons, Donovan, AJ and daughter, Faith; and Randy Richard; two daughters, Barbara Andre and her husband, Michael; Jennifer Millard and daughter, Danielle, and son, Joseph, all of Albuquerque; brother, Allen Nygaard, of Bellfield, ND; and sister, Pearl Lange, of Minneapolis, MN; nieces, nephews and other family members including Rosie Flath, Ilene Morrosetti, Ramona Owen, Jimmy Rowen and Pauline Frahm; and best friend, Jeannie Faifer. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE, with Father Anthony Bolman, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Grace's memory to Loving Hands of Hospice, 5400 Gibson SE, Bldg 18, 87108. Delcida Roach, 77, born in New Mexico, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2001. She was the daughter of Alexander Pitts and Pumicena Aragon. Survivors include children, Ross Garcia, Frances Baca, Lydia Esquivel, Rosalie Gallegos, Pauline Lucero and husband, Arturo, Elaine Andrade and fiancee, Abie Sanchez, Terry Roach and fiancee, Carlos Saavedra, John Roach and wife, Maria; sister, Maria La Pierre; brothers, Donald Pitts and wife, Virginia, Alex Pitts and wife, Jane, Arnold Pitts and Bobby Pitts; 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; stepmother, Avelina Pitts. She was preceded in by her father, Alexander Pitts; husband, John B. Roach; daughters, Cecilia Phillips and Patsy Garcia; son, Tom Roach; granddaughter, Pat Montoya; and great-grandson, Gino Rostro. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose de los Duranes Catholic Mission Church. Mass will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday at the same church. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Chris Esquivel, Brian Baca, Arthur Alex Lucero, Michael Andrade, Leroy Gallegos and Frank Gutierrez. Estefanita Romero, 93, went home to the lord on January 21, 2001. Estefanita is survived by her son, Frank Romero, Jr.; grandchildren, Francisco Romero, Orlando Romero, Tomas Romero, Sylvia Romero, and Ricardo Romero; great-grandchildren, Orlando Romero, Jr., Jacquiline Romero, Mariah Romero, and Sarah Rose Romero. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Rita "Ricardita" Maez, Pablita Hurtuado, Tillie Trujillo, Lolo Tapia, Junior Tapia, Mary Duran; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. today at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel on 8th Street. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. this evening, also at Garcia Mortuary. Final visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning at Garcia Mortuary. Baby Charlena Katari Salazar, 21 month-old daughter of Robert and Catherine Salazar, passed away on January 22, 2001 and is now one of Gods' Little Angels in Heaven. She is also survived by three sisters, Allison, Natalie and Laura; two brothers, Matthew and Anthony; paternal grandparents, Ray and Cecilia Salazar and maternal grandparents, Richard and Frances Sanchez; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; her Godparents, David and Judy Sheriff and Louis and Renee Sena. Mass of the Angels will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with visitation at the church after 10:30 a.m., Father Gene, Celebrant. Mr. Felix G. Sanchez, 80, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 23, 2001. Mr. Sanchez is the beloved husband of 55 years to Mrs. Bersabe Sanchez. He is also survived by a daughter, Maria D. Sanchez; two sisters, Emma Madesen and Christina Morales; a brother, Joe G. Sanchez; a brother-in-law, Oracio Maez and wife, Helen; sister-in-law, Emily Brendon and husband, Rod; friends, Kim Meyer and Loggie Carrasco and many other friends. Mr. Sanchez was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with visitation after 6:30 p.m., Linda Sedillo and Lucille Maez reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m., Father Jack, Celebrant. Ronald B. Sauter, 64, a resident of Albuquerque for 27 years, went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 22, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Julie Sauter; daughters, Elizabeth McIntyre and husband, John, and Kimberly Sauter; son, Stephen Sauter and wife, JoAnn; granddaughters, Monica and Lindsay Ryan, Amber and Krysta Sanchez; grandsons, Sean and Nicholas McIntyre, all of Albuquerque; brother, Herbert Sauter and wife, June of Ocala, FL; sister-in-law, Lori Wells and husband, Ray of Las Vegas, NV and brother-in-law, Robert Hudson and wife, Andrea of Turlock, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Edna Sauter and infant son, Gregory Bernard Sauter. He served in the United States Air Force for over 26 years, which included a tour in Vietnam. Ron retired as Senior Enlisted Advisor of Kirtland AFB in 1982. He received many awards and citations during his career including the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. Following his Air Force career he was a Life Insurance Agent with New York Life Insurance Company. Ron was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and a very generous and loving man. Ron loved golf and especially loved traveling with his wife to Las Vegas and Florida. He loved life and his family to the fullest. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 25, 2001, 7:30 p.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. N.E. Josef F. Schneider, age 81, a resident of Albuquerque for 31 years, died on January 19, 2001. He was born on October 27, 1919 in Munich, Germany, where he grew up and after serving in World War II, completed his education. In 1956, he emigrated to Alamogordo, NM to work at Holloman Air Force Base, and moved to Albuquerque in 1970 to work at Kirtland Airfoce Base. Josef is survived by his wife, Edith; daughter, Sabine and husband, David Boruff and their children, Max and Joshua, all of Albuquerque; son, Thomas Schneider and wife, Alexis, of Topenga, CA. Josef was an active member of his church and the community. He taught computer classes at Bear Canyon Senior Citizen's Center and played violin in the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra. After his retirement in 1989, he continued to be a member of and edit the newsletter for the Instrumentation Society of America. Eva Alderete Schoolcraft, 74, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away at her home on January 20, 2001. She was born on January 24, 1926 to the late Baltazar and Manuelita (Aragon) Alderete. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Eva is survived by her husband, Edward A. Schoolcraft; daughter, Yvonne Schoolcraft; sisters, Ruth Alderete and Chona Barela; brothers, Henry and Larry Alderete, all of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven, 5310 Claremont Ave NE. A Memorial Mass will take place on Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 10:00 a.m., also at Queen of Heaven. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Martha Marie Sedillo, 87, went home to be with our Lord Monday, January 22, 2001 at her home with her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren at her side. She is survived by her daughter, Betty A. Standifer of Albuquerque; son, James Reeder of Ohio; stepson, Nick I. Sedillo of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Floyd A. Stephens, Jr. and wife, Ellen, Melva M. Santiago, James E. Stephens, Debra Marks and her husband, Steve all of Albuquerque, Karen S. Bivins of Fountain, CO, and SSgt. Michael D. Standifer; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild due in April. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isais 'Blackie' Sedillo in 1997. Lugarda Velarde, 95, born in Abiqiu, NM on May 19, 1905, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2001. Resident of Albuquerque since 1952, she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Antonio Velarde. She was one of 14 children. She is survived by five daughters, Lucille and husband, Javier Quintana, Olivia and husband, Darrell Cook, Grace and Ernie Callejas, Judy and husband, Sebastian Chavez, Erlinda and husband, Scott Beebe; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; also a sister, Felice Roybal of Santa Fe, NM. following the cremation, a Rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. on January 25, 2001 at the Church of the Risen Savor. 7701 Wyoming NE. Arthur Edward Willmore, 85, a former resident of Chicago, IL and a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Saturday, January 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Pat Willmore of Albuquerque; nephew, Donald Geis and wife, Nancy of Norridge, IL; great nephews, Rev. William Geis and wife, Sandi of Lone Wolf, OK, Donald Geis, Jr. and wife, Mary of O'Fallon, IL; great niece, Sandra Smigla and husband, Greg of Hoffman Estate. IL; great-great-nieces and nephews, Erica and Monica Geis of Lone Wolf, OK, Noah Geis of O'Fallon, IL, and Erin, Andrew, Barbra Smigla of Hoffman Estates, IL; cousins, Robert Willmore of South San Francisco, CA and Jim Willmore and wife, Eileen of Westerville, OH; and The Patton Family. Mr. Willmore was a graduate of Schurz High School, Class of 1933 in Chicago, IL and University of Illinois, Class of 1942. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was business manager and Chairman of the Board of Hope Christian School, owner operator of the Willmore Corp, an appliance service center. Mr. Willmore was a member of Faith Chapel and Gideon's International. He was a Sunday School superintendent for 42 years and a member of the Board of Directors of Faith Chapel. ORLANDO VIGIL, 52, of Chimayo died Saturday at Espaņola Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Vigil was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Gregorita Vigil; one grandson; a brother, Manuel Vigil; and two sons, Greg and Thomas Vigil. He is survived by two daughters, Carrieann Sanchez and husband Louie of El Llano, and Maria Vigil and companion Anthony Rodriguez of Chili; two sisters, Anita Trujillo of Chimayo and Matilda Roybal of El Rancho; the mother of his daughters, Terry Ramirez of Fairview; a close nephew, with whom he lived, Chris Roybal; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was buried in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. DeVargas Funeral Home.

CASIMIRA SANCHEZ, 90, of Tierra Amarilla died Friday after a short illness. While living in Carlsbad, she was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cristobal Sanchez; a daughter, Lupita Williams; a grandson; one great-granddaughter; sisters Benigna Trujillo, Margarita Martinez and Celina Atencio; and brothers Isidro Velasquez and Marcos Velasquez. She is survived by her children, Anna Rodela and husband Ernesto of Ensenada, Cora Brown of Albuquerque, Chris Sanchez and wife Betty of Albuquerque, and Marie March and husband Richard of Carlsbad; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. today at the Santo Nino Catholic Church in Tierra Amarilla. Burial will follow at the Los Ojos Catholic Cemetery. DeVargas Funeral Home.

Louis Adinolfi, 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976, died Tuesday, January 22, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Theresa Adinolfi of Albuquerque; son, Michael Adinolfi and wife, Gina of Albuquerque; daughter, Luann Cartigiano and husband, Greg of Staten Island, NY; sons, Pat Kenney and Robert Kenney, both of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Brianna Adinolfi, Amanda Cartigiano and Kevin Cartigiano. He was preceded in death by his son, John Adinolfi; and parents, Rocco and Lucy Adinolfi. Mr. Adinolfi served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post #49. Services will be held Friday, January 25, 2002, at 9:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Mary Besser, 90, of Kansas City, MO passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2002 in Gladstone, MO. Mrs. Besser was born November 9, 1911 in Kansas City, MO. She lived in Albuquerque for 40 years from 1950-1990 where she owned a fabric store. She returned to Kansas City six years ago. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2002 at St. Gabriel Parish, burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City. Hubert Lee "Hugh" Blythe passed away on January 14, 2002 after a lengthy illness. Hubert was born in Wilburton, OK on August 27, 1931. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict and was awarded a medal for good conduct. He married Venita Farmer on November 16, 1956. His wife, Venita; four children; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren survive Hubert. Hubert was the eldest of nine children and is also survived by his sisters, Wanda, Joyce, and Louise; and his brothers, Ronnie and Kenneth. Services in his memory were held at Monterey Baptist Church on January 16, 2002.

Virginia Branson, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, January 19, 2002. She is survived by her husband, J.F. Branson Jr., to whom she was married in 1938; two daughters, Gwain Wilson of Clarksville, TN and Faustine Settle of Centerville, OH; grandchildren, Darci Wilson, Todd Wilson, Dan Wilson, Steven Settle, Scott Settle and Megan Settle; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Branson was born on September 4, 1916 in Ponil, NM, moving to Colorado before her first birthday. When she was nine, her family moved to California where she attended Escondido High School and San Diego State University in San Diego, CA. During her life, she followed her husband, J.F., wherever she could go, having a great time in all locations. Mrs. Branson was active in Girl Scouting, St. Mathews Episcopalian Church and belonged to various Officers Clubs, as President of the Officers Wives Club in Clarksville, TN and as President of the Destroyer Squadron Officers Wives Club. She was also a member of Daughters of the Nile, Yucca Temple #74. The rest of her time was spent fishing and camping, especially salmon fishing. Services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2002, at 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd.NE.

Reverend David Joseph Timothy Clark, age 79, born to John Joseph Clark and Jocine Marcella Lombard in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on December 2, 1922, went to be with his Heavenly Father January 19, 2002. Father Clark had been hospitalized at the Ft. Bayard Medical Center. He is survived by brothers and sister, George Richard Clark of Scottsdale, AZ, Marie Agnes Gantenbein, John Joseph Clark, Jr., Jane Mildred Riggle, and Thomas Meighan Clark, all of Pomona, CA; several nieces and nephews. He received his ordination in 1954 and served as Administrator to St. Anthony's Parish in Pecos, NM and was incardinatied into the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, NM in 1970. Fr. Clark has served in the Albuquerque Parishes of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Annunciation, St. Francis Xavier, and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin (Alameda). He was appointed as Chaplain at St. Anthony's Hospital in Las Vegas, NM, and then St. Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe, NM. Later he served at St. Bernadette's in Albuquerque, and then as co-pastor of Nativity Church in Alameda, and then St. Therese Church. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Moriarty, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Archbishop Michael J. Sheehan at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church (2621 Vermont NE at Claremont NE) Friday, January 25, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friede Maureen Dunfield of Qualicum Beach, BC, passed away on January 21, 2002 at the age of 73 years. She is survived by two sons, Allan (Debbie) of Qualicum Beach, BC, and Peter of Fort McMurray, AB; one daughter, Jennifer (Kevin) Connolly of Danville, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one brother, Boyd (Camille) Kelly of Victoria, BC. Loyce R. Easley, noted New Mexico artist and wife of Mack Easley, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, January 20, 2002. A resident of Albuquerque since 1990, she is survived by her husband of 63 years, who served in all three branches of New Mexico government, as Chief Justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court, Lieutenant Governor, and Speaker of the House of Representatives; daughter, June Hudson of Los Angeles; son, Roger Easley of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dorothy Basolo of McAlester, OK. Loyce Anna. Eldest daughter of Thomas Webster Rogers and Anna Laura Sanders, was born in Weatherford, OK. She earned her bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Oklahoma. She and her husband resided in Hobbs for over 40 years before moving to Santa Fe where they lived for 12 years. She was an avid student and consummate teacher of art. Her works have hung in many distinguished galleries and are included in private and public permanent collections. Services will be held Friday, January 25, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Joe Espalin passed away on Monday, January 21, 2002 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his son, Rick Espalin of Albuquerque; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Priscilla Quintana and husband, Alonzo of Cerro, NM and Helen Stevens of Alameda, NM; one brother, Robert Espalin and wife, Dolores of Alameda, NM; caregiver, Debbie Baca and husband, Richard of Cerro, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and Rosary will be held on Friday, January 25, 2002 at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Church, 9502 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM at 9:30 a.m. Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. with burial following at San Carlos Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phil Duran, John Espalin, Jared Huling, Mark Selph, Robert Duran, Michael Banuelos and Frank Gallegos. Honorable Pallbearers will be John Duran and Richard Baca.
