Eliza Dominguez, 90, went home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2002 at 8:53 p.m. at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on August 12, 1911. Eliza was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, a member of the Sacred Heart Alter Society, Legion Of Mary and served in the Barelas Community for many years. She is survived by her son J. Charles Dominguez; daughter Gloria Dominguez Williams; grandsons, Dominic Williams and Aaron Dominguez and friend, Christine Chavez; niece, Aurora Hughes; grand-nieces, Emilie Jean Chavez and Linda Ware and husband, Frank all of Albuquerque; great-niece, Michelle; great-nephews, David Chavez, Desi Chavez and Nicholas Martinez, nephew Joe Aragon and wife, Concha; niece, Ramona Maestas of Las Vegas, NM. Eliza will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitations will be on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited following at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Dominguez, Dominic Williams, David Chavez, Nicholas Martinez, Victor Garcia and Frank Ware. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Bogdan and Benny Chavez. Euleta J. Elliottt was born on June 30, 1908 to Clinton and Maude Tumblin in Wymore, NE and passed away on May 13, 2002 in Belen, NM. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Sioux Falls, SD, a past president of the Rebekah Lodge in Deadwood, SD, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belen. She married her beloved Charles E. Elliott in June 8, 1925 and was preceded in death by him in 1984; her parents, Clinton Tumblin and Maude Brown; two brothers, and one sister, her daughter, Treva Jerane Elliott, and a son, James Elliott. She is survived by two daughters, Beverley Hunt and her husband, Robert of Omaha, NE; and Shirley Lindsay of Belen; one daughter-in-law, Rita Elliott of Reno, NV; two grandsons; five granddaughters; eleven great-grandchildren; and two step great-granddaughters. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Belen with Pastor Ed Wicklein officiating. Interment will take place in Blue Springs, NE. The family request memorials may be directed to the Building Fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Belen. Richard Fogel, 47 of Massachusetts died of heart disease on May 10, 2002 in Provincetown, MA while camping with his family. The son of Joan and Louis Fogel, Ricky was born in Grand Rapids, MI in 1954. He attended East Grand Rapids High School, graduated from University of Michigan Residential College in 1980 and earned a Masters of Education from the University Massachusetts/Amherst in 1983, a Masters of Science in Community Economic Development from New Hampshire College in 1986 and a Certificate in Elementary and Secondary Education from the University of New Mexico/Albuquerque in 1996. Ricky married Mary Dent in 1988. They traveled widely, living and working in South and Central America, New Mexico, Wisconsin and Michigan as wewll as in western Massachusetts. Ricky was an educator and community organizer. He worked at Wellness Networks in Traverse City from 1990 to 1992 and was most recently employed as the Outreach and Communications Coordinator at the Food Bank Farm in Hadley, MA. Ricky touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Ricky is survived by his wiffe, Mary; sons, Louis, nine and Jack, five; brothers, Steven of Williamstown, MA, Davide of Federal Way, WA, Dan of Grand Rapids, MI, and Noton of Ann Arbor, MI; one niece, nine nephews, an aunt and an uncle. Lorensita S. Garcia, 81, a resident of Belen, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2002. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, Ramon Garcia in 1993; and her parents, Rodrigo and Rita Sanchez. She is survived by her son, Danny and his wife, Nellie of Belen; two grandchildren, Valine Griego and her husband, Orlando; and Tricia Garcia and her husband, Shawn; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Brianna Griego; and three sisters, Lugarda Fields; Susie Sanchez and her husband, Adolfo; and Lillie Kirchner and her husband, Ted. She is also survived by her loving nieces. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 5:30 p.m. with a rosary following at 6:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with Interment following at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Marjorie P. Greenidge, 91, a 15-year resident of Albuquerque, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2002 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her son, Al Cochrane and wife, Barbara of Albuquerque; grandsons, Alan R. Cochrane and wife, Arlene of Union City, CA, Albert B. Cochrane of Sacramento, CA; eight great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and many friends who will miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Greenidge and daughter, Yvonne H.J. Paskins. Gerald Stanley Hill passed away May 11, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Yolanda, Geretta, Gerald Jr., Youlanda, Jenney, Leadrick, and Teresa; mother, Dorothy; aunt, Carrie; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Ronald Vernon Jordan, 78, of Albuquerque, died on Monday, May 13, 2002, after a two year battle with cancer and leukemia. He is survived by his wife, Betty Keene Jordan, and by their four children: Valorie Lynn Perrin, Kristine Kay Raubinger (and husband, Michael Raubinger), Steven Ray Jordan and Kimberly Ann Greenhouse. His grandchildren are Aaron Cole, Danielle Cole-Nix, Nicole Greenhouse, Vanessa Greenhouse and Wesley Perrin. Born in Gowan, Michigan on February 11, 1924, Ron later was proud to serve his country as a bomber pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He went on to serve 10 years of active military duty and 10 years as an Air Force reservist. Ron married his high-school sweetheart and the only love of his life, Betty L. Keene, in 1945, and they shared their 56th wedding anniversary last July. Ron earned a living for his family as a salesman, a profession well suited to his outgoing personality. He was a longtime member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church where he and his wife developed many close friendships. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Ken Moore officiating. Debra Kalm, 48, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, May 12, 2002. She is
survived by her mother, Joan Clear; sister Pam Grover and husband, Jeff, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Tom Kalm and wife, Renee, of Albuquerque and Floyd Kalm, Jr. and wife, Teri, of Guyman, OK; niece, Stephanie Koehn of Lafayette, CO; niece, Kelly Kruse of Albuquerque; nephew, Charlie Kalm of Albuquerque; niece, Katrina Kalm of Albuquerque; nephew Ricky Kalm of Guymon, OK; nephews Karl Kalm and Cory Kalm both of Albuquerque. Lorene Hartley Mills died May 13, 2002. Lorene was born February 24, 1918, to Plumis Burdine Hartley and Martha Paradine (Potts) Hartley of Hollene, NM. Lorene was a public school teacher having taught at Claud, Artesia and Texico. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society for women educators. She supported her husband of 64 years, Vernon R. Mills, retired Clovis and Artesia school superintendent. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Clovis where she sang in the choir. Vernon and Lorene recently moved from Clovis to Albuquerque where they have resided at the Woodmark Uptown assisted living facility. She is survived by her husband, Vernon; one brother, Earl Hartley of El Paso; son, Sidney Lane Mills and wife, Sylvia of Albuquerque; daughter, Jackie and husband, Don Hodges of Clovis, daughter, Pam and husband, Jeff Baum of Clovis; son, Rodney Mills and wife, Susan of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren, Marquesa Fedastion and husband, Steve of Colorado Springs, CO; Kim Mills of Albuquerque; Kris Mills and wife, Nicole of Albuquerque; Brock Hodges of Canyon, TX; Camron Baum and wife, Kim of Ignacio, CO; Shana Jennings and husband, Greg of Clovis; Camille Mills of Lubbock, TX; six great-grandchildren, Eric Fedastion of Colorado Springs; Natasha and Miquela Mills of Albuquerque; Tiana Baum of Clovis and Bailey Baum of Ignacio, CO; and Eric Jennings of Clovis. Iris Ann Nemitz, 64, a resident of Albuquerque since 1963, died Sunday, May 12, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John L. Nemitz; daughters, Rose Ann May Rael and husband, Antonio and Theresa Ann Navarrette and husband, Skip; son, Michael John Nemitz and wife, Flora; daughters, Patricia Ann Shaw and husband, Brian and Crystal Ann Nemitz, all of Albuquerque; 17 grandchildren, Theresa Ann Lacen, Donna Marie Rael, Ann Marie Lacen, Adrian Jospeh Rael, Justin Daniel Rael, Amber Jennifer Navarrette, Jessica Lynn Navarrette, Jason Nathaniel Navarrette, Jacob Quinlan Navarrette, Jamie Diane Dow, Michaela Ann Nemitz, Cody John Michael Nemitz, Timothy John Nemitz, Gary Brian Levi Shaw, Matthew Cody Shaw, Christopher John Nemitz and Katelynn Nicole Nemitz; two great-granddaughters, Serina Nicole Mosley and Haley Ranee Mosley; sisters, Eileen Carnesi of San Antonio, TX, Sandra Davis and husband, Harold of Manassas, VA and Barbara Hauswald and husband, Rudy of Woodland, WA; and brothers, DuWayne Grulke of Thousand Oakes, CA and Daniel Grulke and wife, Barbara of Fairfax, VA. Donald R. Nix, age 61, a resident of Sapello, New Mexico passed away on Friday, May 10, 2002 at his home. He was born on November 1, 1940 near Capitan, New Mexico to Bill and Laila Nix. He graduated from high school in Moriarty, New Mexico where he was active in track and FFA. He worked on various ranches around New Mexico and Arizona before moving to Holbrook, Arizona in 1975, where he was employed by United Parcel Service. He was active in the community and served on the Navajo County Fair Board of Directors. He retired in 1999 and moved to Las Vegas, New Mexico, where he enjoyed his many friends and team roping. He loved his family, friends and good times visiting and telling jokes. He will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Geney Nix of the family home in Sapello, NM; daughter, Sandia Hall of Grand Canyon, Arizona; son, Robert Nix and wife, Debra and their three children, Elizabeth, Cheyenne and Kaleb Nix all of Waco, Texas; two sisters; two brothers; five nieces and nine nephews. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 18, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rogers Chapel. Cremation has taken place. Linda Sue Roach, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died on Saturday, May 11, 2002. Rosa "Roti" Romo passed away on Friday, May 10, 2002. Rosa was born in Santa Rosa, NM and was a resident of Santa Fe, NM and recently of Albuquerque. She is survived by her daughter, Gina Romo-Vialpando; her three grandchildren, Larry Jr., Christina and Ryan; and former son-in-law, Larry Sr., who was always like a son to her. Cremation has taken place. Rosary will be Friday, May 17th, 7:00 p.m. at the Church of the Risen Savior recited by Ricardo Chavez. Mass will be held at the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. on Saturday, May 18, 2002 at 10:00 a.m., Father Doug Mitchell presiding. Music by Eddie Gonzales. Ruth I. Chapin Shelton "Nanny." 99, a resident of Albuquerque for 46 years, passed away on May 13, 2002. She is survived by 2 daughters, Marilyn Martinez and husband, Charles of Michigan and Madeline Christiansen and husband, William of Florida; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1985; two sons, Wendell and Neale Derickson and one granddaughter, Diane. She was a member of the Monte Vista Christian church. Ruth raised four children alone during the middle of the Depression and also supported her family as a Seamstress and enjoyed furniture upholstery. Norma Shiverdecker, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Sunday, May 12, 2002. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Rhiger of Albuquerque and Connie Blair and husband, Bruce of San Clemente, CA; son, Gary Shiverdecker and wife, Nancy of Rockwell, NC; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Shiverdecker. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Donald James "DJ" Smith, 43, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Monday, May 13, 2002. He is survived by his sons, James Joseph Smith and Jerod Christopher Smith, both of Moriarity; parents, Don and Darlene Smith of Sandia Park, NM; sister, Patricia D. Rael and husband, Florian of Moriarity, NM; brothers, Jerry Smith and Terry Smith, both of Sandia Park, NM; grandmothers, Eva Killingsworth of Clovis, NM and Janie Garner and husband, Ronnie of Ridgeway, SC. Robert (Wink) Speegle, 82, a 50-year resident of Hobbs and more recently Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jewell Speegle; son, Doug Speegle and wife, Paula, son, Richard Speegle and wife, Diana; daughter, Dona Hue Hampton and husband, Loy; five grandchildren, Shelley and husband, Jesse Simmons, Ross Hampton, Jennifer and husband, Kent Messer, Eric Speegle, Nick Speegle and one great-granddaughter, Ryane Simmons. Wink was born in Barry, Texas, November 14, 1919 and served in the United States Army during World War II. He lived in Hobbs for 50 years and retired from Daniel's Insurance Agency and First Equity Realtors. He was a member of Hobbs Realty Insurance Club and American Business Club. He was a big Hobbs Eagles and UNM Lobo fan, and active member of Hoffmantown Church all of which brought him great joy. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Mary "Lorraine" Trottier, age 74, and a resident of Albuquerque, NM for 43 years, died Saturday, May 11, 2002. She was born in Williston, ND on September 30, 1927. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Bernier; her mother, Marcella Bernier; and her sister, Dolores Bernier. She is survived by her loving husband, Roland Trottier; four children, Gary Trottier and wife, Cathi of Colorado Springs, CO, Mary Towns and husband, Tony of St. Petersburg, FL, Ilene Morosetti and husband, Jeff of DeBary, FL, and Les Trottier and wife, Laura of San Juan Capistrano, CA; nine brothers and sisters; six grandchildren, Sean and Tracey Trottier, Michelle Kaemerer and husband, John, Caine Towns, and Jonathon and Melissa Trottier; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2002 with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday in Chapel of Sandia, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE. Chris Trujillo, 21, a lifelong resident of Los Lunas, died Friday, May 10, 2002. He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Laverne Hitchcock of Los Lunas; paternal grandparents, Antonio and Vivian Trujillo of Hagerman, NM; parents, Tony and Jeannine Trujillo; sister, Windy Stringham and husband, Lance; brother, Antonio Trujillo and wife, Jennifer; nieces, Janessa and Delila Trujillo; nephew, Antonio Trujillo, all of Los Lunas; and a large extended family and many friends. ANN PICKARD BEASLEY, 69, of Chama, died Sunday. She was a retired co-owner, along with her husband, of Rio Drugs of Chama and a member of the Chama Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by a son, Clay Beasley and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, O.C. Beasley; her children, Jan Beasley of Espaņola; Gina Skates and husband Lane of Summerville, Ga.; and a son, Barry Beasley of Chama; three grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. DOLORES DURAN, 93, of Espaņola died Monday at her home. She retired from the state of New Mexico Land Office after 27 years of service. She was an active member of the Tri-county Menaul Alumni Association; the Santa Cruz United Methodist Church and the Espaņola Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Duran Sr. She is survived by her children, Alfonso Duran Jr. of Espaņola, Mae Baker of Albuquerque, and Carlos Duran and wife Dolores of Albuquerque; a special niece and her caretaker, Rosalia Duran Guevara of Rainsville; 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Santa Cruz United Methodist Church in Santa Cruz. POLLY MONTOYA, 75, of Taos, died Monday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Teodoro Lolo Montoya; and granddaughter, Elena Gonzales. She is survived by her children, Joseph Montoya, Carmen Gonzales (Telesfor), Loretta Romero (Julian), Annie McCallum (Ken), Lloyd Montoya, Mario Montoya (Sharon) all of Taos, and Melissa Winter (James) of Albuquerque; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cleo Cisneros (Cristobal), Julia Gonzales; and brother, Joe Medina (Julia). Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with burial to follow at Dolores Cemetery. Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home.

DONALD R. NIX, 61, of Sapello, died Friday at his home. He was born Nov. 1, 1940, near Capitan to Bill and Laila Nix. He graduated from high school in Moriarty, where he was active in track and FFA. He worked on various ranches around New Mexico and Arizona before moving to Holbrook, Ariz., in 1975, where he was employed by United Parcel Service. He was active in the community and served on the Navajo County Fair Board of Directors. He retired in 1999 and moved to Las Vegas, N.M. He is survived by his wife, Geney Nix of the family home in Sapello; daughter, Sandi Hall of Grand Canyon, Ariz.; son, Robert Nix and wife Debra and their three children, Elizabeth, Cheyenne and Kaleb Nix all of Waco, Texas; two sisters, two brothers, five nieces and nine nephews. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rogers Chapel. Cremation has taken place. DELIA ORTIZ, 75, of Raton, died Saturday following an extended illness. She was born on March 12, 1927, to Elisa and David Ortega Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eloy Ortiz; and granddaughter, Heather Salazar. She is survived by one daughter, Eloyce Salazar and husband John and family of Rio Rancho; four sons, Anthony Ortiz and wife Linda and family, Vince Ortiz of Roswell; Steve Ortiz and wife Corrina and family, David Ortiz and family; brothers, Juan Ortega and wife Louise of Denver, Lawrence Ortega and wife Concha of Santa Fe, Brigido and wife Stella, Jimmy Ortega and wife Lenore all of La Manga, Tom Ortega and wife Mary of Albuquerque, and Bobby Ortega and wife Dolores of Corrales; sisters, Josie Gonzales of Raton, Annie Salazar and husband Lencho of Albuquerque, Margie Laird and husband RC of Chandler, Ariz., Lorraine Gallegos and husband Albert of La Manga, and Kathy Rodriguez and husband Cesario of Amarillo, Texas; sister-in-law, Rosalie Wood and husband Lonnie of Raton; and many other relatives. ROSA 'ROTI' ROMO died Friday. She was born in Santa Rosa and was a resident of Santa Fe and recently of Albuquerque. She is survived by her daughter, Gina Romo-Vialpando; her three grandchildren, Larry Jr., Christina and Ryan; and former son-in-law, Larry Sr., who was always like a son to her. FLOSHA R. SANCHEZ, 46, of Las Cruces, and formerly of Mora, died Sunday due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born in Las Vegas, N.M., Dec. 19, 1955, to Napoleon Sanchez and Marcella Sofia Romero Sanchez. He was employed by the Tierra Del Sol as project manager. He was preceded in death by his father, Napoleon Sanchez; and paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by daughters, Victoria Sanchez, Rebecca Garcia and husband Matthew all of Las Cruces, and Vanessa Sanchez of Mora; mother, Marcella R. Dineen and husband Harold of Las Cruces; brother, Emilio Sanchez of Albuquerque; sister, Breena Tafoya and husband Lawrence of Las Cruces; brother, Justin R. Dineen of Las Vegas, Nev.; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. today at Rogers Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Rogers Chapel.
