Lorraine Frances Gonzales, age 55, resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2000. She was preceded in death by her father, Alejandro Gonzales. She is survived by her companion of many years, Filbert Candelaria; her mother, Stella Duran; brothers, Alex Gonzales and wife, Vangie, Leroy Gonzales, Johnny Tafoya; sisters, Mildred Robledo, Sylvia Gallegos and husband, Epifanio, Geraldine Tafoya and Marylou Tafoya. She had many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was loved and will be missed by all her family. A Rosary will be held at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal SE, Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Alameda, at 2:00 p.m., Thursday. Burial will follow at the Bernalillo Cemetery in Bernalillo.

Dorothy June Clover, 64, born September 2, 1935 in Johnston, Iowa, went to be with the Lord, August 6, 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Dorothy McKinney Clover; four brothers, David, Donald, Dennis and Dale Clover; niece, Pamela Tofuri; nephew, Ronald Clover; and grandson, Eric Hollenbeck. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James D. Hall; daughters, Deborah L. Hall, Wendy Anne and husband, David Fickers, all of Albuquerque, and Rebecca S. Hall of Winnemucca, NV; sisters, Dixie Parkhurst of San Antonio, TX, Darlene Hammond of Des Moines, IA and Dawn Marie Clover of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Jacob Hollenbeck, Raellen and Benjamin Frick of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy graduated from Johnston HS in 1954, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the North Valley Sr. Center. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2000, 11:00 a.m., at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 1801 Montano Road NW, Albuquerque 87107. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the building fund of Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church. Floyd Heckman, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for 47 years, died Monday, August 7, 2000. He is survived by his sons, Raymond Heckman and wife, Nancy of San Jose, CA and Ed Heckman and wife, Lynda of Littleton, CO; daughter, Judy Tye and husband, John of Albuquerque: and stepdaughters, Joan Gentry, Nancy Heckman and husband, Raymond, all of San Jose, CA, and Joyce Cooper and husband, Don of El Cajon, CA; grandsons, Ricky and Jimmy Clark of Albuquerque, David Heckman of Littleton, CO and Eric Heckman of San Jose, CA; granddaughters, Roxanne Heckman of Littleton, CO and Denise Heckman of San Jose, CA; and great-grandson, Owen Heckman of San Jose, CA. Mr. Heckman was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Heckman. Services will be held Friday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Randy Walquist officiating. John Arleigh Huff, 90, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2000. Arleigh was born on May 23, 1910, the son of Charles F. and Nancy S. Huff in Sigel, Pennsylvania. The family moved to Oil City, Pennsylvania, where he attended high school. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1932. Arleigh served in the US Navy during WW II in the European Theater. After living in Alice, Texas for many years, the family moved to Boerne, Texas. Arleigh served on the City Council and was Mayor of Boerne from 1965 until 1969. From 1976 through 1979, he presided as County Judge of Kendall County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellmarie B. Huff; his parents; and a sister, Mercedes Huff Teegardin. Arleigh is survived by a daughter, Nancy A. Jaqua and husband, Edwin of Corrales, NM; a son, Charles F. Huff and wife, Mary of Los Alamos, NM; granddaughters, Maria Huff and Suzanne Jaqua; and grandsons, David Arleigh Jaqua, and John W. Huff and his wife, Tania; two nieces, Nancy Smith and Susan Teegardin. Services will be held in Boerne, Texas with Ebensberger Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Boerne Public Library, 210 North Main, Boerne, TX 78006. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary.

Florence Judd, born in Denver, Colorado, October, 1990, died August 8, 2000. Born Florence Weitz to Rachel and Joseph Weitz, she was the seventh of nine children. Florence, husband, Max, and sons, Dan and David came to Albuquerque in 1933. Max was a goldsmith and gem-setter. In 1941, Florence and Max opened a jewelry store on east Central at Edith, which was later moved to Central at Fourth. Florence was a full-time, very active member of the staff of Judd Jewelers, enjoying buying trips abroad and the daily contact with her customers. Florence was an active member of B'Nai Israel Congregation and served as president of the Congregation Sisterhood, and was a current member of Congregation Albert. Family members include Dan and his wife, Julie Dreyfuss Judd in Albuquerque and their children, Sharon Moeller (husband, Walter) of Laguna Niguel, CA, Jacki Judd in Albuquerque and Richard Judd (wife, Suzanne) in Eden Prairie, MN; great-grandchildren, Josh and Greg Moeller in Laguna Niguel, CA and Sarah, Jessica, and Erica Judd in Eden Prairie, David, his wife, Helga, and children (with former wife, Pat Schiff), Sandie Coyle (husband, Matt), Lorrie Boren (husband, Mike) and Terri; great-grandchildren, Seth and Cullin Coyle, Elizabeth Boren, and Mike's daughter, Lindsey Boren, all live in Albuquerque. Florence's sister-in-law, Margaret Weitz lives in California. There are numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Everett Lee Meagher, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1953, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Mae Meagher of Albuquerque; sons, Douglas L. Meagher of Albuquerque and Mark K. Meagher and wife, Charmaine of Rio Rancho; grandson, Josh Lange of Rio Rancho; brothers, Paul Spilman of Wichita Falls, TX and Richard Spilman of Lebanon, MO; sisters, Nadine Rodgers and Lorene Anderson, both of Marshall, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Meagher was born in Iowa and grew up in Stanberry, MO. He served in Korea with the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Meagher worked for PNM until his retirement. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway NE, with Pastor Bruce Rich officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Douglas Meagher, Mark Meagher, Joseph Byers, Paul Spilman, Richard Spilman and Buster Spilman. Mildred M. Patton, 88, passed away August 4, 2000 at her daughter's home in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She left this world peacefully to be with the Lord she loved and by whose principles she lived. Mrs. Patton was formerly of Albuquerque and managed the Mc HenBurk Apts. for 30 years. In 1994, she returned to Chattanooga, her place of birth. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and sons, J. Harold, John Jr., and I. Edward. Survivors are daughters, Wanda Spencer and Sue Quarles; sons, Sam, Jim, and Don (of Albuquerque); 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will held on August 14, 2000 at Hickory Valley Christian Church in Chattanooga, with Rev. Wm. Spencer officiating. Petra H. Potter, 38, a resident of Albuquerque for 19 years, died Tuesday, August 8, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Potter of Albuquerque; children, Scott, Caitlin and Danielle Potter, all of Albuquerque; parents, Jeff and Hedy Dalia of Albuquerque; sister, Andrea Dalia of Oakland, CA; and grandmothers, Martha Dalia of Albuquerque and H. Scholpp of Germany. She will be remembered as a great wife, mother and friend. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Faith Lutheran, 10000 Spain NE. Mary Marino Sanchez, 94, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2000 at Manzano del Sol Nursing Home. She is survived by her daughter Claudia Sanchez; grandsons, Richard and his wife Mary Jean and Michael and his wife Annette; great-grandsons Christopher and Jeffrey. Mary Marino Sanchez was a principal at several APS Elementary Schools until her retirement in 1969. She belonged to NEA and was an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2000 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE, at 8:30 a.m. Donations may be made to your favorite charity.

Cilio Sandoval, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, August 6, 2000. He is survived by sons, Cecil Sandoval and wife, Martha of Belen, George Sandoval and wife, Jane of Albuquerque, Robert Sandoval and wife, Ruthann of Denver, CO, Donald Sandoval of Albuquerque, David Sandoval of Miami, FL and Larry Sandoval of Albuquerque; daughters, Vera Sandoval of Albuquerque, Wilma Griego and husband, Edward of Albuquerque, Judy Moseley and husband, Emerson of Albuquerque, and Barbara Temer and husband, George of Albuquerque; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Ora; and brother, Benny Sandoval and wife, Susan. Earl Stratton Shore passed away Monday, August 7, 2000 in Socorro. He was born June 25, 1917 in Forgan, Oklahoma to Earl Shore Sr. and Cora (Gregg) Shore. A New Mexico resident since 1933, he was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran. He was an active member of the Old Time Fiddlers organization where he entertained residents of senior centers and nursing homes throughout the state, and was awarded several trophy's. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Vern Shore. Mr. Shore is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sallie of Socorro; sons, Lonny and Tommy Shore of Albuquerque. Graveside Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at the Socorro Cemetery. Oley John Tomlinson, of Gallup, NM, born September 27, 1959, passed away on August 1, 2000. He is survived by his mother, Lydia and Russell Branyan of Gallup; father, Vernon E. Tomlinson of Alaska; brother, Alfred Tomlinson of Gallup; sister, Anna Garcia of Grants; maternal grandparents, Teofilo and Mary Gonzales of Albuquerque; paternal grandmother, Rita Naiueux of Kansas; children, O.J. Tomlinson of Grants, Manny Salcedo Tomlinson, John Frank Tomlinson, Alfred Tomlinson of Mexico, Chantal Jaramillo of Farmington; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial services will be held at Heights 7th Day Adventist Church, 4920 Wyoming NE, at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9.

Martin F. "Bill" Yager, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, died Monday, August 7, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Alice Yager of Albuquerque; two sons, Stuart Yager of Mora and Bruce Yager of Albuquerque; stepdaughter, Jackie Yager-Knapp; one grandson, Joseph Williamson, both of Mobile, AL; one granddaughter, Claire Yager-Sosa of Albuquerque; four great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Sammy, C. Ryan and Cameron; and several nieces and nephews, Rex, Gary Julie, Gloria and Marcia. Mr. Yager was preceded in death by his one brother and one sister. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association (Kirtland Air Force Base); NRA; and Retired CID Agents. Mr. Yager was a WWII Army Veteran, having served 27 years in the Pacific Theater, European Theater, Thailand, Korea and Vietnam. He was also a Charter Member of the WWII Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC; and was a member of the Polygraph Association. Mr. Yager was also a member of the D.A.V. TRANQUILINO 'KENO' ANAYA, 78, of Santa Fe died Saturday. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo and Flora Anaya. He is survived by his companion Mabel Aragon; son, Carlos and girlfriend Antoinette; grandchildren Carlitos, and Mariah; stepchildren William, Dorothy and Kathy; sister, Jenny Gonzales and husband Joe; and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Anne Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the same church. Burial will follow in Galisteo. DORIS HAYES, 83, of Espaņola and formerly of Las Vegas, Nev., died Monday following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her son, Paul Hayes and wife Rose of Santa Fe; granddaughter, Tonya Heers of Las Vegas, Nev.; and grandsons Thomas and Joseph Hayes of Santa Fe. Funeral services and burial will be held in Las Vegas, Nev. DeVargas Funeral Home, Espaņola.

ANTHONY A. ROMERO, 39, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Saturday at Northeastern Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1960, to Adelido Trujillo and Cleo Romero in Mora. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Leroy Romero. He is survived by his sons Ryan Lujan of Albuquerque, and Andrew Romero; sisters Mary Romero, and Connie Garcia and husband Sam, all of Espaņola; brothers Jerry Romero and girlfriend Toni of Las Vegas, Manuel Romero and wife Elizabeth of Mora, and Celestino Romero and girlfriend Tamara of Rawlings, Wyo.; special aunt, Genoveva Romero of Las Vegas; girlfriend, Josie Ortega of Las Vegas; godmother, Virginia Vigil of Las Vegas; and numerous other relatives and friends. LOIS E. TOWLE, 86, of Santa Fe died Sunday at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1913, in Buffalo, N.Y. She attended Simmons College where she received certification as a dietitian. She married Warren L. Towle on Nov. 3, 1938. She was a member of the League of Women Voters for more than 25 years. She is survived by her husband, Warren L. Towle; daughter, Christie T. Warne of Tucson, Ariz.; grandson, William P. Warne of Tucson; and granddaughter, Lisa C. Warne of Tucson. A memorial reception will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Loma Encantada Club House, 360-B Calle Colina. Burial will be held in the family plot in New Haven, Conn. McGee Memorial Chapel Mortuary.

Augustine Acosta Bencomo, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 7, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Carmen; daughters, Josie Bencomo and Alicia Bencomo, all of Albuquerque, Gloria Whidby and husband, Don of Buford, GA and Tina Lopez and husband, Larry of Los Lunas; sons, Roberto Bencomo and wife, Joan and Matias Bencomo and wife, Rose, both of Albuquerque; three granddaughters, Aileen Gottlieb, Andrea Bencomo and Monica Nicholson; six grandsons, Marc and Michael Whidby, Danny and Julian Bencomo, Chris Perez and Adam Bencomo; two great-granddaughters, Alex and Taylor Gottlieb; and his paloma, Kathleen Connell; sisters, Katy Ortiz and Aurora Moya; and brothers, Basilio Bencomo and Pete Espinoza. J.L. "Bob" Castleman, 83, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died Tuesday, August 7, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores Castleman of Albuquerque; children, Gary Castleman and wife, Susie of Ft. Collins, CO, Ronald Castleman and wife, Donna of Durango, CO and Linda Alsup and husband, Jerry of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Castleman served his country in the US Air Force for 30 years, serving with the 19th Bomb Group & 4925th Test Bomb Group. Services will be held Friday, August 10, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Thomas A. DeNapoli Sr., 61, died Tuesday, August 7 2001 at Community Hospital in New Port Richey, FL. He was born in St. Louis, MO and lived in Albuquerque, NM before moving to Florida in 1995. He was a self-employed Jewelry Salesman. He was Catholic. Surviving are two sons, Thomas A. II of Arlington, TX, Anthony E. of Smyrna, GA; a daughter, Nickie Evans Landes of Dallas, TX; his parents, Albert and Josephine DeNapoli of New Port Richey, FL; a sister, Lorrie Delay of Ocala, FL; four grandchildren, Justin and Deandra DeNapoli of Arlington, TX Austin and Peyton Evans of Dallas, TX. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 10, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at Preferred Funeral Alternatives 2508 US Hwy 19 Holiday, FL 34691.

Edward J. Frinkman, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away at home on August 2, 2001. Ed is survived by his four children, Erin O'Neil and husband, Jack, of Sandia Park, NM; Jay Frinkman and wife, Lourdes, of Albuquerque; Evan Jellesma and husband, Mike, of Scottsdale, AZ; and Tim Frinkman of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Eric Richstad, of Vancouver, WA; his former wife, Maryo; and two grandchildren, Thomas and Lauren Frinkman. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, John and Molly Frinkman, and brother Tom Frinkman of Vancouver, WA. Ed served in the Navy and graduated from the University of Washington in 1958. He began his career with Boeing in Seattle. He worked for EG&G in Las Vegas, Nevada and in 1964 became one of the original staff members of the EG&G office in Albuquerque. Later Ed worked for Ross Aviation in Albuquerque, from which he retired in 1991. Ed enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Huskies, and liked to travel to their games. He had many friends at the American Legion Post 49, VFW Post 401 & Moose Lodge. Services will be held at French Mortuary Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 9, 2001. Interment to follow, at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Lambert J. Gonzales, USAF Master Sergeant Retired, at the age of 74, passed away on August 7, 2001 in the loving arms of his family. He was born to Seferino Gonzales and Enriquita Casados Gonzales on September 16, 1926 in Clayton, New Mexico, where he was raised and graduated from Clayton High School in 1944. He enlisted in the Navy and served four years in the Pacific Theater. In 1950, he enlisted in the USAF and served 20 years until he retired in 1969. During his time in the USAF, he traveled extensively to different parts of the world. He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for National Security Services. Upon his retirement, he was employed with the New Mexico State Employment Service, New Mexico Department of Labor. He served as manager/director for the North Fourth Office, Hendricks Office, Heights Office and the Mountain Road Office until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of the original council for the North Valley Senior Citizen Center. He was a member of San Felipe de Neri Church, where he served as Eucharistic Minister, Lector and member of the Sacred Heart League and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He loved his God and his country. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Lucille; sister, Lillian Anderson; his children, son, Robert and Marianne Gonzales; daughters, Anna and Victor Allee, both of San Diego, Lorraine and John Hobbs of Cambridge, England, Lydia and Xavier Gutierrez of Albuquerque; his adopted daughter, Carmela and Max Castillo of Denver, CO; his four step-children, Greg and Ira Cordova, Michael and Rosemary Cordova, Marc and Peggy Cordova and Robert and Kathy Maldonado; his nephew, Don and Diana Anderson; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Rosary for Mr. Gonzales will be recited Thursday, August 9, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Friday, August 10, 2001, 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment of cremated remains will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 2:00 p.m.
