Teagan Michelle Eads
On Oct. 30, 2007, Teagan Michelle Eads was born into this world. She was an absolutely perfect, beautiful angel, but too small to take on life.
Her few moments on earth will be treasured. She touched so many lives in such a short time.
She is survived by her parents Vernon and Tamara; brother Joshua; sister Kathryn; grandparents Ron and Shirley Trummell and Bill and Sandy Eads; uncles Will Eads, Terry Eads and Jim (Tammy) Trummell; aunts Cheryl Paker and Candice Trummell and numerous great aunts, uncles and great-grandparents.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Nov. 10 at the First Southern Baptist Church on Highway 160 and Fehrs Way. Pastor John Dodge will officiate. (10/30/07)
David Coffin, Sr.
David Lee Coffin Sr., 60, passed away Oct. 30, 2007 in Las Vegas.
He was born Jan. 30, 1947 in San Francisco, Calif. and lived in Antioch and Lockford Calif. before moving to Pahrump five months ago.
He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy during wartime in Vietnam. His occupation was truck driver for Dart Transit until 2007.
His wife Kathleen Coffin of Pahrump; mother Jean Gertrude Wolfe of Missouri; sons Thomas Walker of California, Corey Coffin of Wisconsin, Stephen Cantrelle of Pahrump and David Lee Coffin, Jr. of Reno survive him.
His father Max Coffin preceded him in death. There will be private services. (10/30/2007)
Carolee Babcock
Carolee R. Babcock, 76, passed away in her home in Pahrump Oct. 31, 2007.
She was born March 25, 1931 in Hilsboro, Wis. and was an 11-year resident of Pahrump. She was a homemaker and a member of Saved by Grace Lutheran Church.
Her sons Gary Babcock of Bullhead City, Ariz., John (Chris) Babcock Jr. of Milwaukee, Wis., Frederick (Patti) Babcock of Reeseville, Wis., and Edward Babcock of Pahrump; daughters Ruthann (D'arcy) Lamke of New Mexico, Debbie (Tim) Finn of Watertown, Wis.; Carrie (Steve) Aagaard of Highland, Ill., and Sheila (Herb) Winn of Pahrump; 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren survive her.
Her parents, a brother, two sisters and a grandson preceded her in death.
Private family services are planned for immediate family only.

Thomas R. Sobacki
Thomas R. Sobacki, 74, passed away Dec. 7, 2007.
He was born April 16, in Illinois and was a resident of Pahrump for 15 years, having come from Las Vegas.
He was a house painter and enjoyed his occupation, and his cats, chickens, roosters and goldfish.
His loving wife Lynda; daughters Julie and Theresa, both of Wisconsin; brothers Jerry Sobacki of North Carolina and Danny Sobacki of Wisconsin; sister Elaine Rodecki of Wisconsin and four grandchildren survive him.
No services are planned in Pahrump.
Arrangements were handled by Eric Lee, Lee Funeral Home and Cremation Services. (12/07/07)
Mary Louise Martin
Mary Louise Martin, 84, of Pahrump, passed away peacefully on Wednesday Dec. 5, 2007 with family by her side.
She was born Sept. 3, 1923 in Bartlesville, Okla. She was a resident of Las Vegas for 42 years before moving to Pahrump 4 years ago.
Mary was a fun loving, generous and had a compassionate sprit, a wonderful sense of humor and always a smile for everyone.
Her son John (Janel) Richter III of Minn.; daughters Gaylene (Pablo) Pedersen of Pahrump and Jackie (Charles) Pitre of Henderson; 12 grandchildren Joyce, James, June, Jeanette, Jack, Scott, Robin, Kelly, Sheri, Amy, John and Matthew; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and sister-in-law Francis survive her.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Iva Sarah Gilmore, her first husband John Richter, her second husband George Martin, brothers Russell and Glenn Gilmore and daughter Cande Lynn Burcham.
Most heart felt thanks, love and gratitude to her extended family and caregivers at Evergreen.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Dec. 29 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church with Rev. Ron Mayer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Animal Shelter or to the Alzheimer Foundation. (12/05/07)
Donald C. Vallette
Donald C. Vallette, 79, passed away Dec. 15, 2007 in Pahrump.
He was born Aug. 17, 1928 and was a 17 year resident of Pahrump, having come from Los Angeles, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army, and was an Operating Engineer out of Local 12. He held a lifetime membership in the VFW.
His loving wife of 17 years, Mary Vallette of Pahrump; sons Richard Spaur of California and Robert (Shirley) Spaur of Arizona; daughters Marlene (Dennis) Fix and Michelle (Yevonne) Ramos both of Las Vegas; brothers Edward L. Vallette of California, Clarence W. Vallette of Idaho and Leland Q. Vallette of Idaho; sister Marjorie Elizabeth of Idaho; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive him.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Dec. 22, at the VFW Hall in Pahrump.
Arrangements are being handled by Lee Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Louise Wheeler
Louise Wheeler, 90, passed away Dec. 15, 2007 in Las Vegas.
She was born May 26, 1917 in Iowa and was a 15-year resident of Pahrump, having come from California.
She was a homemaker, a member of Friends of the Library and of the Christian faith.
Her sister Dorothy Parker of Iowa; brother Harold Hall of Iowa; one niece and one nephew survive her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clark Wheeler in 2003.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m., Dec. 19 at Pahrump Family Mortuary and a funeral service at noon, Dec. 19 at Pahrump Family Mortuary. Burial will follow in Grandview cemetery. (12/15/07)
Pamela Moore
Pamela Moore, 56, passed away Dec. 19, 2007 in Pahrump.
She was born May 12, 1951 in Allentown, Pa and has lived in Pahrump for the last 21 years, having come from Las Vegas.
She was the owner of Paul Moore Sand and Gravel.
Her son Marvin (Sonya) Bawdin of Las Vegas; daughter Rachel Moore (David Hollis) of Pahrump; step-daughter Paula Kay (Steve) Baldridge of Burton, Mich; step-son Barry (Missy) Moore of Sandy Valley; sister Debbie (Jeff) Wilson of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; all her little "darlings" survive her.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26 at the Pahrump Church of Christ, 911 S. Lola Lane. (12/19/07)

Ralph Rosa
Ralph Rosa, 82, passed away Dec. 3, 2007 at his home in Pahrump.
He was born May 25, 1925 in Puerto Rico and was a resident of Pahrump for 25 years, having come from California.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He was an electrical engineer.
He had many friends in Pahrump. His greatest joy was bowling and he had enjoyed the sport for over 50 years.
He loved his dogs Babe, Eden, Guy and Dude.
He will be greatly missed and we will see him again in that big bowling alley in the sky.

Helen Simmons
Helen Simmons, 76, passed away Nov. 26, 2007.
She was born April 3, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Okla. and was a 12 year resident of Pahrump.
Her husband Victor Simmons of Pahrump; sons Ron Simmons of Yelm, Wash. and Jeff Simmons of Pahrump; daughter Jeri Lynn Nelson of Graham, Wash.; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren survive her.
Helen will be greatly missed by all. (11/26/07)
