Carlos F. Zamudio, 72, of Long Point Road, Brewerton, died Thursday. Born in Lima, Peru, he lived most of his life in Peru before moving to Brewerton in 1999. He graduated from Peru University. He was a mechanical engineer for 30 years with Techno International in Lima.Survivors: His wife, the former Carmen Barreda; a daughter, Carla M. Zamudio of Brewerton; two sons, Carlos A. of Arkansas and Fernando of Florida; a brother, Armando of Lima; five grandchildren. Services: Private. Burial at a later date in Peru. No calling hours. He retired after 37 years as an inside/outside engineer at Alltel Corp., Syracuse, and also was supervisor of the Manlius Village Offices for the past three years. He was a former member of the Manlius Lions Club. In 2000, he received a Service Recognition Award from the village of Manlius. He was a Navy veteran. She retired in 1972 as an elementary school teacher with the Brewerton School District. She was a member of the New York state and Oswego County Retired Teachers associations and the Catholic Women's Club, Syracuse. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale, where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Her husband, Russell, died in 1954. Survivor: A brother, Norman D. George E. Duckett Sr., 88, of 5158 state Route 34, Fleming, died Saturday. He was born in Skaneateles. He retired in 1980 from Alco Products. He was a farmer in Fleming for more than 50 years. He was a member of the New York state and Cayuga County magistrates' associations. He served as town justice for Fleming for more than 20 years. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. His wife, the former Helen Forsythe, died in 2001.Survivors: Three daughters, Nancy J. Corl of Manlius and Shirley J. Vella and Elaine J.D. Moore, both of Fleming; three sons, G. She was an instructor in the general equivalency diploma program in Oneida and Canastota. She was a member of St. Agatha's Church and its Altar-Rosary Society. She was one of the founders of the Opportunity Shop in Canastota. She worked in the commissary at All Season Services in Canastota for five years.Survivors: Two daughters, Jacqueline Adamo of Syracuse and Shirley McGovern of Chittenango; three sons, Wallace R. Jr. and Edward, both of Canastota, and David L. of Syracuse; two sisters, her twin, Jane Royce of Watertown, and Joyce Bush of Canastota; a brother, Fred Adamo Jr. of Canastota; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was a clothing salesman for 47 years, having worked for the former Egbert's of Auburn and Anderson-Little. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors: His wife of 47 years, the former Helen E. Murphy; a daughter, Kathleen LaRue of Liverpool; two grandchildren. Margaret Edwards

ONEONTA — Margaret H. Edwards, 74, of Oneonta, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Albany Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 5, 1928, in Schodack Landing, near Albany to John H. and Winifred F. (Smith) Winn.

She married John H. Edwards on Aug. 17, 1956, in Montrose, Pa. John died Aug. 25, 1990.

Peg lived most her life in the Oneonta area, attending St. Mary's and Oneonta High School. She worked for the Oneonta Dress factory and Astrocom Electronics for many years, having retired from Amphenol in Sidney in 1990. She was an avid bowler and particularly enjoyed the Traveling League. Peg and John loved trap shooting and participated in many competitive events all over New York State. She especially enjoyed her club, Ester, Anna, Dot, Glen, Mary and Delores.

She is survived by her brother, George and his wife, Helen Winn, of Florida; a sister, Carol Taylor of Cooperstown; stepson, John and his wife, Anna Edwards, of St. James City, Fla.; stepgrandchildren, Christine and her husband, Arthur Crossman, of Camden and Sherrill and his wife, Shawnene, and Karen Pumiglia, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven great-grandchildren; special nieces, Karen, Lou Ann and Mary; and special nephew, Bob; grandnephew, Brian, and several other nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents, sister, Winifred, and brothers, John, Hugh, Martin, Alfred, Thomas and Peter.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the Lewis-Hurley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Babiuch, associate pastor of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the spring in Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.

Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to service, time when the family will be in attendance.

Contributions in memory of Margaret H. Edwards may be made to either the Diabetes Association, 356 N. Midler Ave., Syracuse, NY 13206, or the Kidney Foundation, 1250 Broadway, Suite 2001, New York, NY 10001.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis-Hurley Funeral Home, Oneonta.

Barbara Stoutenberg

WALTON — Barbara Stoutenberg, 73, of Walton, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, in the Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton, after a short illness.

Mrs. Stoutenberg was born in Walton on Oct. 9, 1929, the daughter of Walter and Barbara Wormsley Roe.

Mrs. Stoutenberg first married John D. MacGibbon, who died in 1981. She later married Floyd J. Stoutenberg on Nov. 27, 1989.

She was a cashier, employed by Delhi Tech. Mrs. Stoutenberg was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and St. John the Baptist Church, Walton.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd J. Stoutenberg; a son, Alan R. MacGibbon and his wife, Mary, of Walton; two stepsons and their wives, Michael J. and Donna Stoutenberg of Mount Upton and Kurt P. and Cathy Stoutenberg of Oswego; one daughter, Deborah MacGibbon of Walton; one stepdaughter and husband, Jessica D. and Bryon Getman of Chittenango; eight grandchildren, Patricia and Cheryl MacGibbon, Tori Anderson, Melissa, Heather and Tyler Stoutenberg and Travis and Laura Getman; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Anderson. She is also survived by a brother, Walter Roe of Horseheads; one sister, Dorothy Baldi of Walton; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Stoutenberg.

She was predeceased by a brother, David Roe.

There are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday Feb. 3, 2003, at St. John The Baptist Church, Walton, with the Rev. Michael Flannery officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made in Barbara's memory to Walton Emergency Squad, American Cancer Society, or to a charity of one's choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton.

Mary J. Drapalski

RICHFIELD SPRINGS — Mary J. Drapalski, 99, formerly of Richfield Springs and most recently a resident of Mohawk Homestead, died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 30, 2003, at Little Falls Hospital.

Mary was born in Herkimer on Jan. 22, 1904, and received her education there.

Survivors include a nephew and several nieces. Also surviving are many great-nieces and great-nephews.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial Mass will be held in the spring. Burial will take place this spring in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, at a time to be announced.

Contributions in Mary's memory may be sent to the Richfield Springs Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Envelopes may be obtained from the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements are with Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer.

Margaret Edwards
