She graduated from Oneida High School and Oneida City Hospital Nursing School. She retired in 1977 as a registered nurse with Dr. Theodore Prowda. She attended Christ Church United Methodist, Sherrill. Her husband, Albert, died in 1978. Survivors: A daughter, Jane Z.  Jones of Redfield; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Auburn and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1975 Auxiliary. Her husband, Victor E., died in 1970. Survivors: Three daughters, Alice Henry of  Pennsylvania, Corrine Lane of Auburn and Judith LaFaver of Cicero; three sons, Victor E. Survivors: His companion of 18 years, Jody Houghton; a daughter, Amy Holbrook of Syracuse; his father and stepmother, Robert and Lorena Elderbroom of Oswego; four sisters, Kathleen Stever of Highmarket, Sue Staffy and Bonnie Charity, both of Syracuse, and Patricia Hopp of Pennellville; a brother, Robert of Syracuse; a grandson. Jenkins-Murray; four daughters, Julie Ellis of Miami, Julie M. Felton and Lori Murray, both of Syracuse, and Kim Ritchie of Cicero; six sons, Paul and Timothy, both of Miami, Matt of Sicklerville, N.J., Thomas of Idaho, Patrick of Florida and Scott of Syracuse; his mother, Edna Ellis of Akron; a brother, Frederick of Akron; several grandchildren. He worked for 24 years as a plant guard at General Electric Co. and retired in 1975. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Calvary Club. He worked as a craftsman at Stickley Furniture and was a member of AARP. He was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Betty B. Ferris Ford, died in 1999. Survivors: Four daughters, Donna L. Davis of Cortland, Laureen B. Batsford of Truxton, Pamela S. Davis of DeFuniak Springs, Fla. and Gayla D. Edward W. Van de Water, 87, formerly of 4417 Sunset Drive, Syracuse, died Feb. 15. Born in West Carthage, he lived in the Syracuse area 22 years. He retired in 1980 as manager of Robbins Glass & Paint in Watertown after 20 years and was a welder at Curtis Wright Corp. in New Jersey. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Marcellus and a former member of First Baptist Church of Watertown. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s. His wife, the former Margaret Bemis, died in 2001. Michael DePietro, 82, of 6063 Manlius Townline Road, East Syracuse, died Wednesday. He was a life resident of East Syracuse. He retired in 1982 after 36 years as a railroad engineer. He was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church and a member of the American Legion Post 359 in East Syracuse and National Association of Retired Veteran Railway Employees. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served as a sergeant in the South Pacific. Survivors: His wife of 60 years, the former Rose A. Noto; two daughters, Deborah  White of Penfield and Michele Stolar-Montgomery of East Syracuse; a sister, Carrie Arcaro of East Syracuse; four grandchildren. He was a radar operator for General Electric Co. during World War II and was an electrician and heating specialist. He was a life member of Syracuse Elks Lodge 31. His wife, Kathryn, died in 1976.
