Mrs. Edna Kahn
Bergen - Mrs. Edna Kahn, age 91, of Bergen, a former cook at Arden Hill Hospital in Goshen, New York, died Wednesday, (March 2, 2005), at Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Brockport.
Mrs. Kahn was born October 27, 1913 in Forestport, NY, a daughter of the late August and Edna Farley Kohler.
She attended St. Brigid´s Church in Bergen. Mrs. Kahn enjoyed spending time with her family and was active with them. Also, she was very active with the Bergen Meadows and enjoyed playing cards.
She was the wife of the late Glen Cosgrove and Lester Kahn.
Survivors include her three sons, Richard (Lu) Cosgrove of Cambridge, New York; Robert (Kathy) Cosgrove of Bergen; Dennis (Mary) Cosgrove of Campbell Hall, New York; a sister, Mag Young of Utica; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She is sister of the late Margaret Schaeffer, Joseph and Edward Kohler.

Mr. Robert F. "Bob" Grice
Batavia - Mr. Robert F. “Bob” Grice, age 74, of Batavia, a title consultant for Crossroads Abstract in Batavia, died Sunday, February 27, 2005, at United Memorial Medical Center.
Mr. Grice was born August 20, 1930 in Batavia, a son of the late Walter and Florence Brumber Grice.
A member of St. Joseph´s Church in Batavia, Mr. Grice was a member of the American Legion, the former Moose Club and played drums for St. Joe´s Drum and Bugle Corp and the American Legion Drum Corp.
Mr. Grice worked in the title and abstract business for 47 years and was a member of the American and New York State Land and Title Associations. He also worked part-time for many years at Page Auction.
An avid bowler, he enjoyed reading and history and loved all sports. He attended all of his grandchildren's sporting events and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Grice is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly Hiscutt Grice; his children, Susan Schuh of Cheektowaga, Steven (Lisa) Grice of Batavia and Jane (Kris) Petote of Bergen; five grandchildren Brian Buckley, Carissa Schuh, Alex and Casey Grice and Jacob Petote; his brother, Donald (Naomi) Grice of Corfu; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Grice and Alice Grice, both of LeRoy, his brother-in-law, Richard (Audrey) Sheelar of Batavia and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Richard and Bradford “Mike” Grice.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Church followed by entombment in St. Joseph's Mausoleum.

Mr. Frederick C. Dilcher
Bergen - Mr. Frederick C. Dilcher, age 89, a lifetime resident of Bergen and a retired stationery engineer at SUNY Brockport, died Monday, February 28, 2005, at Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Brockport.
Mr. Dilcher was born December 31, 1915 in Bergen, the son of the late Albert and Edith Andrews Dilcher.
He enjoyed gardening and was a fisherman and hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bobzin Dilcher, whom he married January 15, 1938; 2 sons, Roger (Sharon) Dilcher of Bergen and Charles (Carol) Dilcher of Oakfield; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dilcher was the father of the late Judith Irwin and brother of the late Herbert and Albert Dilcher, Beatrice Mistal and Eleanor Marshall.
Friends may call from 1 to 3pm Friday, March 4th, at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen where services will follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will be in Mt. Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Helen R. Brown
Batavia - Mrs. Helen R. Brown, age 95, of Batavia, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Batavia, died Sunday, February 27, 2005, at the Genesee County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Brown was born October 13, 1909 in Albany, the daughter of the late William and Clara Emerich Heim.
Survivors include her husband, Nellis G. Brown whom she married October 3, 1932; her son, Robert W. Brown of Rochester; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is mother of the late David W. Brown who died January 6, 2000.
There are no prior calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, 31 Washington Avenue, Batavia, New York 14020 or to the Genesee County Nursing Home, 278 Bank Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
Mrs. Dorothy E. “Dot” Richenberg
Elba - Mrs. Dorothy E. “Dot” Richenberg, age 75, of Elba, co-founder and owner of R&W Trucking and Excavating in Elba, died Thursday, December 9, 2004, at United Memorial Medical Center.
Mrs. Richenberg was born August 16, 1929 in Elba, a daughter of the late Chester D. and Wilda E. Russell Wilford.
She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Elba, member of the Elba Elegants Performing Group and was the court clerk for her husband who served as Town Justice. She enjoyed traveling, animals and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Paul H. Richenberg; a son, Stephen (Mary Jo) Richenberg of Elba; a daughter, Linda (Peter) Tierney of Las Cruces, NM; a brother, Arthur “Art” (Nancy) Wilford of Elba; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Winifred M. Wilford.

Charles A. Sohns
Batavia - Mr. Charles A. Sohns, age 97, of Batavia, who retired as manager of New York Telephone after a statewide career spanning forty-three years, died Friday, December 17, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Sohns was born October 21, 1907 in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was a graduate of Ohio State University and was honored by being elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, the Commerce College equivalent of Phi Beta Kappa. He was a member and past president of the Batavia Rotary Club, B and P Order of Elks, a member of St. James Episcopal Church of Batavia and a life member of the Telephone Pioneers.
During a very active career he was tireless in serving the community. He was president of the Batavia Board of Education as well as president of the YMCA, Genesee United Fund and Genesee Memorial Hospital. He also served as director of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the executive committee of Blue Shield of Western New York for 14 years.
When Genesee County celebrated its memorable Sesquicentennial in 1952, he helped organize the event and served as president of the Board of Directors.
Politically, he served the community as chairman of the Planning Board, was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, Batavia Urban Renewal Board and more recently as campaign manager for New York State assemblyman R. Stephen Hawley from 1972 to 1984.
His wife, Helen Sohns, died in 1980.
Mr. Sohns is survived by his daughter, Margaret S. Eldredge of Ventura, Ca.; two granddaughters, Wendy Eldredge of Ventura, Ca. and Victoria Harnish of Lakewood, Co. and two great-grandsons, Travis & Trenton Harnish, both of Lakewood, Co.
There are no prior calling hours. Memorial services will be held at St. James Episcopal Church at a date to be announced. Private burial will be in Grand View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rotary Club of Batavia or St. James Episcopal Church.
Mr. William C. Ellingham
Batavia - Mr. William C. Ellingham, age 82, a retired employee of both GTE Sylvania and Genesee Memorial Hospital, died Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at home.
Mr. Ellingham was born April 1, 1922 in Batavia, New York, the son of the late Bert and Olive Ball Ellingham.
A veteran, he served with the Army in World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
He was a member of St. Mary´s Church and life member of the Veness Strollo VFW, Post 1602. While employed at GTE Sylvania, he served as a Union Steward.
Mr. Ellingham was the husband of the late France Gilliatt Ellingham who died in 1993.
He is survived by three daughters, Ann Ellingham and Barbara (Robert) Hillabush, both of Batavia, Patricia (Thomas Kent, Jr.) Spring of Oakfield; a son, Thomas Ellingham of Rochester; a sister, Betty Robinson of Batavia; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Margaret Dedman and George Ellingham.

Mrs. Josephine P. Suozzi
Batavia - Mrs. Josephine P. Suozzi, age 79, of Batavia, a houseparent for the New York State School for the Blind in Batavia for 18 years, died Thursday, September 23, 2004, at Genesee County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Suozzi was born October 27, 1924 in Canonsburg, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Theresa Aloi Dolciamore.
Mrs. Suozzi moved to the area in 1953 from New York City. She was an avid bingo player.
Her husband, Vito Suozzi, died in 1974.
She is survived by two sons, John (Mary Ann) Suozzi of Hampstead, N.C. and Mike (Erlinda) Suozzi of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Donna Brockway of Canonsburg, Pa. and Theresa Suozzi of Rochester; two brothers, James Dolciamore of California and Dominic Dolciamore of Florida; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, five nieces, three nephews, and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
She was the mother of the late William and Michael Suozzi and sister of the late Mary Horner of Canonsburg, Pa.
