MACEDON - passed away on January 18, 2013 at age 58. Predeceased by her mother, Vera MacDougal. Survived by her husband, Terence (Terry) Spross; son, Bryantt; daughter, Shenandoah; father, Raymond MacDougal Sr.; brother, Raymond MacDougal Jr.; many friends. She was a teacher for Rochester City School District for 13 years.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM February 3 at Hope Lutheran Church, Greece, NY. reception following.
Contributions to Hope Lutheran Church or www.woweewildlife.org (Word of Wildlife Educational Encounters)
Interment private.

Schreib, Kathleen A.

ONTARIO - passed away on January 22, 2013. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 38 years, Raymond. A loving mother to her daughters Linda (Keith), Emily (Anthony), and Rebecca (Claude). She is also survived by other family & friends. Kathy was a dedicated department manager at Wegmans for 38 years. She was also active in her community serving with many youth sport organizations, and as a Girl Scout leader.
Friends are invited to join the family MONDAY 2-4 and 7-9 PM at MURPHY FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPELS, 1040 Rte. 31, Macedon, NY, where her funeral service will be held TUESDAY at 10 AM. Interment Lakeview cemetery.

DeMarse, Judith F.

ONTARIO - passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on Monday, January 21, 2013. She is survived by her husband David, and her children Tim Watson, Debi (Chris) Johnson, Kris (E.J.) Miner, Tracy (Glen) DeMarse, Steph (Soren) Lindahl, Geoff (Melanie) DeMarse. Also, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved pets Missy, Shoo, and Baby Cat. “Judy, no more pain”
Friends are invited to join the family SATURDAY from 2-5 PM at MURPHY FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPELS, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY, where her memorial service will be held at 5 PM. Interment will be held in the Spring.

Survived by sons, Tom Ebert and Gary (Sandy) Ebert; grandchildren, Andrea (Christopher) Nassar, Laura (Gary Stom) Ebert, Melissa (Al Diaz) Ebert, Brian Ebert; sisters-in-law, Molly Hill and Lorraine Doyle; several nieces and nephews.

Restey, Christopher D. “Chris”

ONTARIO - A devoted husband, father, son and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2013 at the age of 44. Chris is survived by his beloved wife Tracy; children, Olivia and Cole; parents Victoria Hamilton and W. David and Beverly Restey; his brothers Spencer and Jonathan Restey; Rick (Jona) Harris; mother-in-law Penny Behrendt; father-in-law Tom Behrendt; sister-in-law, Trina (Bryan) Lahman; brother-in-law Casey (Heather) Behrendt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Chris was a 1987 graduate of Wayne Central High School and an officer with the NY State Department of Corrections.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 4-7PM at the Living Word Assembly of God Church, 2344 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. A celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 10AM, at the church. Interment private. Stirpe, Rosario

ONTARIO - Was called to the lord on January 17, 2013 at the age of 79. Survived by his son Victor (Tammy); daughter, Tin; grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristin and Collin; sister, Mary (Paul) D'Allesio; brother, Nicola (Mary); nieces and nephews in California.
No Prior calling. Services private. Roasrio was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature and his family. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Rochester General Hospital.

Devito, Fusako “Yoko”

PALMYRA - Died on January 15, 2013 at age 75. Predeceased by her husband Daniel and sons Thomas and Robert. Survived by her daughter Kathlene Whitmore; son Daniel J. DeVito; 3 brothers and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 9AM in St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 136 Church Street, Palmyra, NY 14522. Interment St. John’s Catholic cemetery, Clyde, NY. Those wishing may offer memorial masses in memory of Yoko.

Hegeman, Ethel M.

Union Hill: Peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband Albert. Survived by her daughter Beverly F. Steele; son Gordon D. (Bonnie) Hegeman; sisters-in-law Alva Schumacher and June Whitenight; grandchildren, Reagen Kulseth, Hope (Brian) Johnson, Amy Gaesser, Kim (Ken) Corpus, David Hegeman, Kim Fudge, Tammi (Martin) Kenney, Heather (Steve DeWolf) Regan; 17 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Ethel was a lifelong, and active, member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 12 noon until 1PM, when a celebration of Ethel's life will be offered at 1PM, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1767 Plank Road, Webster, NY 14580. Interment Webster Rural cemetery. Memorials in memory of Ethel may be directed to the church, or Blossom View Nursing Home (Activities Fund), 6884 maple Ave., Sodus, NY 14451.

DeAngelo, Katherine “Catty”

PALMYRA - Beloved wife and mother, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. She is survived by her sons, Paul DeAngelo of Palmyra and Tom (Cagla) DeAngelo of Chester Springs, PA; and her sister Betty DeNearing of Macedon. She is predeceased by her husband, Frank DeAngelo; two sisters, Jo Colacino and Helen Cufari, and her brother John Cufari.
Katherine was born May 23, 1916 in Canandaigua and was the daughter of John and Anna (Sant Angelo) Cufari. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s school and Canandaigua Academy. She moved to Palmyra in the 1930’s working with her sister at Jo’s Beauty Shoppe. She married Frank on June 10, 1946. After raising her family, she worked for many years at the Palmyra Elementary School cafeteria.
Catty will be remembered by the children who grew up on Hyde Parkway for her cookies and treats, by her friends and family for her helping hand, and by those who knew her in old age by her smile. Catty will be dearly missed by us all.
Friends may join the family TUESDAY 4-8 PM at MURPHY FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPELS, 123 East Jackson St., Palmyra, NY. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated WEDNESDAY 11:00 AM at St. Anne’s Church, Palmyra, NY. Interment St. Anne’s cemetery. Gardner, Allan W.

PITTSFORD / MACEDON - passed away peacefully at the age of 91, on Saturday, January 5, 2013 while surrounded by loving family and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Lorma. Survived by his children, Craig Shaw (Barbara) Gardner and Anne Shaw Gardner; grandchildren, Kelly (Eric) Dietl, Tracy (Michael) Edelstein; great-grandchildren, Alex Chudyk, Lauren and Ryan Dietl; sister-in-law, Dorothy Shaw and several nieces and nephews.
Allan was a graduate of the University of Michigan who worked as a chemical engineer for Eastman Kodak Company. He was past president of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers. He served as an officer in the Army Transportation Corps. in the European and Pacific Theatre during WW II.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 4-7PM at the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapel, 1040 Route 31, Macedon. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 12:30PM. Interment will be private. McIntire, Dorcas Eugenia (Jean)

PITTSFORD - Dorcas Eugenia McIntire, 87, passed away peacefully with family at her side Thursday, January 3rd at The Highlands Living Center, Pittsford NY. Originally from Albuquerque NM, where she met and married her husband “Mack.” Jean was an excellent seamstress and avid gardener. She enjoyed sewing gifts for those she loved and took great pride in the flowers in her garden. She was a long time employee of Palmyra Florist which only added to her love of flower arranging.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years Leland (Mack). She is survived by her daughters Carolyn (Ken) Hammond, Dorcas Natale Stein (Richard), and Leigh (Al) LoMaglio; 10 Grandchildren; 17 Great-grandchildren; brother Bud (Nellie) Austin, Albuquerque NM; and dear friends Irene Klaeysen, Jean Knapp and their families.
Services will be held Monday, January 7th at 12:00 pm at New Life Bible Church, 560 Atlantic Ave, Macedon where her family will receive friends immediately after. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at the Highlands for their loving care of the parents. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Wayne County Humane Society or to one’s favorite charity. Arr. entrusted to Murphy Funeral & Cremation Chapels, Macedon, NY.

Buyze, Isaac J.

ONTARIO / SPENCERPORT: January 2, 2013 at age 82. Predeceased by his wife, Gail. Survived by his daughters, Diane (Tom) Buchiere, Debbie (Scott) Holmes and Dawn (Dan) Leask; grandchildren and extended family.

Watson, Kenneth E.

NEWARK - January 1, 2013 at age 82. Kenneth was predeceased by his wife, Leta Watson. Survived by his son, John (Brenda) Scott; grandsons, Nathanual (Mindy) Scott, Chad Scott, Kyle Scott; granddaughter, Kimberly (Dale) Hares; several great-grandchildren. Kenneth devoted part of his life defending our nation by serving in the United States Navy. After his service, he spent his life working in construction. He loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

Pensgen, Betty "Michielson"

WEBSTER - Died peacefully, at home, on January 1, 2013 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her parents Cora and Edward Michielson, husband Claude H. Pensgen and sister Lorraine Schimerhorn. Survived by her children Jonathan (Brenda), Greig (Karen), Yvonne (Tom Leach), Jeannine (Jim) Pray, Sonya (Paul) Piotrowski; 13 grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Donald Schimerhorn, Wallace and Russell Pensgen; many nieces and nephews.
Betty was an elementary school teacher for over 25 years at Wayne Central School District. She was a life-long member of the Union Hill United Methodist Church where she was organist and choir director for over 60 years.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 3, from 7-9PM and Friday, January 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 1961 Ridge Road, Ontario. A celebration of Betty's life will be offered on Saturday, January 5, at 10AM at the Union Hill United Methodist Church, Ridge Road, Union Hill followed by interment at Furnaceville cemetery. NEWARK - Suddenly December 28, 2012, at age 27. Predeceased by grandfathers, Octave Piano and Milton Barbee: uncle, Dave Thompson. Survived by his parents, Bob & Sandy Piano; sister, Ashley Piano; grandmothers, Jackie Hannan & Sandra Barbee; loving aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
