He and his wife had operated Gardner's General Store in Colosse. His wife of 51 years, the former Genevieve Gardener, died March 12; a son, Robert, died previously. Ruth Greenwalt Markert O'Loughlin, 71, of Duluth, Ga., died Friday. Born in Amsterdam, she lived most of her life in Syracuse before moving to Georgia in 1987. She graduated from the Convent School in 1949 and Le Moyne College in 1953. She worked at H&R Block in Syracuse and for SCORE in Norfolk, Va. She was a communicant of Most Holy Rosary Church in Syracuse and St. Monica's Church in Duluth. Her second husband, John F. O'Loughlin, died in 1984. Corp. in Syracuse and previously was a truck driver for Weyerhauser Co. in Liverpool. His first wife, the former June Jenner, died in 1963; his second wife, Sandra O., died in 2000.
