Teresa A. Rogers
ONEONTA — Teresa A. Rogers, 72, of Oneonta, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at the A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.
She was born in New York City on Dec. 19, 1927, the daughter of Cornelius and Theresa (Bell) Evans.
She married Frank Rogers on Dec. 20, 1947, in New York City.
An area resident since 1973, moving here from New York City, Teresa was a member of St. Mary's Church.
She was a member of Rockaway Beach Post 6191 VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and served as its president in 1960 and 1970.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Rogers of Oneonta; three daughters and their spouses, Eileen and William Dorritie of Mount Vision, Patricia and Douglas Eggleton of Goodyear Lake and Susan and Gary Utter of Rochester; 11 grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Arlene Evans of Hawley, Pa.; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Frank, in 1990; along with three sisters and a brother, Julia Quinlan, Margaret Looney, Mary Brown and Charles Evans.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Paul Roman, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
Friends may call on Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home after 2 p.m. The family will be in attendance from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's School Building Fund.

Wallace Allen
NEW BERLIN — Wallace Theodore Allen, 57, of New Berlin, died May 27, 2000, in the town of Columbus.
He was born March 7, 1943, in Ticonderoga, the son of William Wallace Allen Sr. and Doris (Hand) Fletcher. He was predeceased by his father.
He spent his childhood in Morris and New Berlin and Schroon Lake areas.
He was employed at TACO of New Berlin, Webb & Sons of New Berlin and the Morris Manor Farm.
He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football. He had a hearty laugh, was loved and will be missed by all.
Wallace is survived by his mother, Doris (Hand) Fletcher; brothers and sisters, Robert and Judy Hand of Morris, James and Elizabeth Allen of New Berlin, Michael and Joan Allen of New Berlin, William and Karla Allen of North Bingham, Pa., Carl and Cecila Allen of Daytona Beach, Fla., Gerald Allen of Lowville, Forrest and Summer Fletcher of New Berlin, Judy Bliss of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Linda and Brian Webb of Richfield Springs; and many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2000, at 1 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin, with Pastor William Allen and Pastor Jeff McLallen officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 31, 2000, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin.
Donations may be made to the New Berlin Fire Department, New Berlin.
Blanche V. Dobsa
MARGARETVILLE — Blanche V. Dobsa, 89, of Margaretville, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, in Benedictine Hospital, Kingston.
She was born June 9, 1910, in Chichester, the daughter of Charles Winne and Katherine Loomis.
She married Carl Dobsa on March 13, 1940 in New York City. He died Jan. 23, 1979
She worked as a waitress for several area restaurants.
She lived most of her life in the Margaretville area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Margaretville. She enjoyed reading and her flower garden.
Blanche is survived by her son, Gary K. Dobsa of Margaretville; her daughter, Judy Hulst of Anniston, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville, with the Rev. Dr. George Carpenter officiating. The committal service will be private.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until service time at 8 p.m.
Contributions may be made in Blanche V. Dobsa's memory to the Ambulance Fund of Margaretville Memorial Hospital, Margaretville.
Arrangements are by the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
Jerome Spinola Jr.
ONEONTA — Jerome Jerry "Spinner" Spinola Jr., 56, of Oneonta, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 4, 1943, in Oneonta, the son of Jerome J. and Frances Shelley Spinola Sr.
He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Spinola in November of 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Gowdy Spinola of Oneonta; his former wife, Gloria Haynes; five children, Barbara Lowe of Tennessee, Brenda (Peter) Stanton of Walton, Jerome F. (Dawn) Spinola of Unadilla, Patricia (Toby) Hunt of Tennessee and Katie Dee Spinola at home; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; four sisters, Josephine Bredesen of Texas, Delores Shorrock of Connecticut, Mary Ann Spoor of Florida and Susan (Philip) Youngs of Unadilla; mother and father-in-law, George (Doris) Zanis of Connecticut; aunts, Josephine Spinola of Oneonta and Leona Daniels of Oneonta; and several nieces, nephews and cousins
"Spinner" was a lifetime resident of the area. He was employed with Amphenol in Sidney for more than 31 years as a process engineer.
He was a past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1260, and a secretary for the Victory Bowling league for more than eight years. He was an avid New York Giants fan, as well as a New York Yankee fan.
He loved his family and will be deeply missed by them.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2000, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Robert Longobucco of St. Mary's Church officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons. Friends may call at their convenience from 2 to 4 p.m., and the family will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Spinola's name.
Clara H. Baird
JEFFERSON — Graveside services for Clara H. Baird will be on Saturday, June 3, 2000, at 2:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery, Jefferson, with the Rev. Joseph Fiske officiating.

Ralph R. Gilmore
SCHENEVUS — Ralph R. Gilmore, 76, of Schenevus, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at his home, after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 21, 1923, in Tinmouth, Vt., the son of William and Lillian (Eddy) Gilmore.
Ralph married Eleanor Merrill, who predeceased him in 1990. In 1994, he married Elma Termoso.
He was a United States Army veteran serving from 1949 to 1950 and attained the rank of corporal.
In 1979, Ralph and his family moved to Schenevus from Tinmouth, Vt.
He was the proprietor of Farmers Feed Co-op in Schenevus.
Ralph was a member of the Schenevus United Methodist Church.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Elma T. Gilmore; and son, Ira L. Gilmore of Schenevus; his children from his first marriage, Raymond R. Gilmore of Lenoir, N.C., Connie L. Blair of Whitney Point, and Ronald R. Gilmore of Laurens; three granddaughters; four grandsons; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard and his wife, Helen Gilmore, of South Wallingford, Vt.; and several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Kenneth and Howard.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2000, at the United Methodist Church, Main Street, Schenevus, with the Rev. Richard Burke, pastor, officiating,
There will be one hour of calling hours before the memorial service at the church.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, June 3, at 1 p.m. at the Tinmouth Cemetery in Tinmouth, Vt. Military honors will be presented by the Rutland American Legion.

Ralph Charlton
MILFORD — Ralph Jay "Jiggs" Charlton, 74, of Milford, died unexpectedly Monday, May 29, 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Natalie Charlton of Milford; his daughter, Judith Edwards of Oneonta; his son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Christy Edwards of Phoenix; Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Jiggs served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Jiggs retired from the New York State Police Troop C in Sidney as a senior investigator, B.C.I. He also worked for the New York State Historical Association and The Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown.
He was vice president of the Association of Former New York State Troopers Inc., Leatherstocking Chapter, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Cooperstown, and a member of the Sidney American Legion Post #133. Jiggs was one of the founders of The Reminiscers Car Club of Oneonta.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2000, at 2 p.m. at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Douglas Burleigh, chaplain at Bassett Hospital, officiating.
The family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday evening, June 1, 2000, from 7 to 9 p.m. for those who wish may call.
It has been requested that in lieu of' flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to The Trooper Foundation, 4 British American Blvd., Latham, N.Y. 12110-1419 in loving memory of Ralph Jay "Jiggs" Charlton.

Beatrice Riccobono
DOWNSVILLE — Originally of New York City, Beatrice M. Kaye Riccobono peacefully passed May 27, 2000.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Justin, of many joyful years, and her stepson, Lewis B. Kaye.
Although educated and trained as a registered nurse, she is well-known as a Manhattan Real Estate Broker, with expertise in exclusive sales of town houses.
Visitation is at MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main St., Delhi, on Wednesday, May 31, 2000, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mass/burial will be held Thursday, June 1, 2000, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Delhi.

COOPERSTOWN — Committal services for Mrs. Belle Irene Graham, who died March 10, 2000, will be held on Friday, June 2, 2000, at 11 a.m. in Hartwick Seminary Cemetery, with the Rev. Stephen Fournier, pastor of the Milford Center Community Bible Church, officiating.

STUART, Fla. — A memorial service for Charles Secor, who died Feb. 6, 2000, in Stuart, Fla., will be at noon Sunday, June 4, 2000, at the Otego United Methodist Church at the close of the regular 11 a.m. session. The memorial will be conducted by the Rev. Richard Breunniger. Committal will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at the rear of the church.
