She was a former communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Marcellus and a volunteer at Community General Hospital. Her husband, Donald, died in 1982; a daughter, Carol A. Wagner, died in 1996.Survivors: Three daughters, Kathleen Straubing of Fort Myers, Fla., Judith Schneider of Marcellus and Suzanne Cade of Churchville; two sisters, Elizabeth Stith and Olga Kroeger, both of Mattydale; five grandchildren. Lyle E. Presley, 77, of 8319 Demott St., Lacona, died Monday from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was born in Watertown. He had worked at Carrier Corp. in Syracuse and the Green Thumb program in Oswego County. He was a member of Cable Trail Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8534 in Lacona and Sandy Creek Senior Citizens. He was an Army veteran of World War II.Survivors: Two daughters, Mary Lou Scutier of Liverpool and Seclinda Presley of Wynne, Ark.; four sons, Walter of Niceville, Fla., William of Lacona, Michael of Sandy Creek and Allen of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Catherine Nemeti Tursi, 94, of West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, died Wednesday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., she lived in Syracuse since 1915. She was a beautician for Stattler Hotel in Buffalo and a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Central High School, Cortland State and Syracuse University and received a master's degree from Boston University. He moved to Camden in the late 1970s. He retired as a school bus driver from Camden Central School. He was a minister of Methodist, Free Methodist and Wesleyan churches in Oneida, Binghamton, Corning and Camden. Byron F. Lyth Jr., 76, of 12 Pond Path, Oswego, died Wednesday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home in Oswego. Born in Buffalo, he moved to Oswego in 1975. He graduated from Fosdick-Masten Park High School and University of Buffalo. He worked as a sales representative and supervisor in Buffalo. He worked for Niagara Mohawk for 35 years, first as manager of the Canton-Gouverneur district, then consumer service manager in Oswego. He worked on projects in electric infrared heating, industrial lighting and electric process heating that won national awards for Niagara Mohawk. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Two daughters died previously, Anne Marie Lyth in 1960 and Jill Bald in 1991.Survivors: His wife, the former Veronica Chavoustie; a daughter, Susan Gregory of Henderson; a son, Byron III of Penfield; a stepdaughter, Andrea Wischerath of Adams; a stepson, David Parker of Cortland; a brother, Alfred of Buffalo; six grandchildren. Cathy Manzer, 56, of Nashville, Tenn., died Aug. 28. Born in Fulton, she graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School and lived in Fulton 25 years. She had worked for Black Clawson in Fulton. She was a songwriter and a member of the Stoneman musical group in Nashville and performed Christian music in churches nationwide. She performed at the London Palladium and performed for Queen Elizabeth.
