Bernard Crandall, 71, of 4701 County Route 22, Lacona, died Tuesday. Born in Manhattan, he lived in New York City for 45 years and lived in the Pulaski and Lacona area since 1976. He graduated from George Washington High School in Manhattan. He was a security supervisor for Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. in Oswego from 1977 to '93 and was a member of the New York City Police Department from 1954 to '76. He was a member of Cable Trail Post Veterans of Veterans War in Lacona, Wednesday Night Men's Golf League at Elm's Golf Course and New York City Police Benevolent Association. He was an Air Force veteran.Survivors: A daughter, Kathleen J. She had worked at Welch Allyn and was a founder of Freitag's Farm Market and Greenhouses. She was an Air Force veteran.
