COMBS Dorothy H. Maxfield Combs, 75, longtime resident of Pickaway Co. for over 50 years, died Wednesday January 31, 2001. Preceded in death by husband Edgar E., 1986, sisters Millie Bolen and Ruth Craig. Survived by brother, William (Ruth) Grubb, Westerville; sister, Jane Haenszel, Grove City; grandsons, Josh Bailey and Colt Combs, son of Eddie Combs, Williamsport; close friend of 40 years, Ruth Hegele; many nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends whose lives she touched, she was a MOTHER TO MANY. She retired as executive secretary for Franklin County Childrens Services and North American Rockwell, Ohio Contractors Association. JAMES Gomer Byron James, age 81, Thursday, February 1, 2001 at Edgewood Manor, formerly of Youngstown, after a long illness, bravely born. Veteran of WW II serving in the 94th Division, 3rd Army. Retired Tool and Die Maker. He loved bowling and golfing and also woodworking and shared his talents with Twig 43 of Children's Hospital to which he was an honorary member. Survived by wife of 52 years, Lillian Weiss James; daughter, Diane Specht; son, Gary (Kathy Dlabick-James); brothers William (Delores) of Youngstown and Richard of Fla.; sisters, Ruth Zins, Mary Lou Bryne and Ann Terpak of Youngstown, June (Lee) Cornell of Madison, Oh.; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
