Violet Wagner
Services for Violet E. Wagner were held Thursday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Burial was in Ice Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert and James Crist, Jeff and Chris Wagner and Brandon and Brock Werling. Honorary pallbearer was Doug Crist.

Robert Beam
DESHLER - Robert Beam, 80, Deshler, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday in Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa.
He was born May 12, 1920, in Lenawee, Mich., the son of Franklin and Hazel (Belle) Beam. In 1942, he married Martha Jane Rader, who survives. He was a farmer, a member of Farm Bureau and Oakdale United Methodist Church, a former officer with Deshler Farmer's Club and active with Maumee Valley Pony Pullers.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Janet) Tackett, Deshler; a sister, Bernita Blasius, Deshler; and four grandchildren, two stepgrandsons, four great-grandchildren and five great-stepgrandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Donald and Ernest; and three sisters, Helen Moffitt, Thelma Myles and Alice Hudson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with Pastor Kathleen Richards officiating. Burial will be in West Belmore Cemetery, Belmore. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to services Sunday.
Preferred memorials are to the church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Virgil Okuly
HOLGATE - Virgil J. Okuly, 87, Holgate, died Thursday evening at Holgate Health Care Center.
He was born May 6, 1913, in New Bavaria, the son of Joseph and Mary Ann (Mangas) Okuly. In 1939, he married Mathilda Gerschutz, who survives. He worked at GM Powertrain, Defiance, for 25 years and was a member of UAW 211. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holgate, and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance.
Also surviving are a son, Ignatius, Holgate; two daughters, Mrs. Vern (Linda) Hahn of Defiance and Mrs. Gream (Georgieann) Gibson, Napoleon; and nine grandchildren and a stepgrandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Robert Kill officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Snyder Funeral Home, Holgate, with a rosary service at 8 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association or charity of the donor's choice.

Gladys Schroeder
NAPOLEON - Gladys R. Schroeder, 94, Napoleon, died Friday morning at Henry County Hospital.
She was born June 17, 1906, in Napoleon, the daughter of Harmon and Bernice (Reed) Rhody. In 1931, she married Herman Schroeder, who died in 1940. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and a life member of Napoleon American Legion Auxiliary Post 300.
Surviving are three sons, Tom of Hamler, Pete of Napoleon and Jim, Wauseon; a daughter, Mary Disbrow, Bryan; two sisters, Madlyn Hoffer of Holgate and Vernabelle Bachtol, Napoleon; and 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Herman; two daughters, Dorothy Hadley and Phyllis Apel; and a sister, Donna Sherman.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with Rev. Kirk Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to the church, County View Haven or charity of the donor's choice.

Florence Bowen
NAPOLEON - Florence K. Bowen, 89, Napoleon, died Saturday afternoon at her residence.
She was born Nov. 27, 1910, in Benwood, W.Va., the daughter of Stephen and Florence (Fish) Butler. In 1941, she married William Bowen, who died in 1984.
Surviving are two sons, James and Philip, both of Napoleon; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Sandra Cronin; three brothers and three sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, with Rev. Ronald Brickner officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Marietta. Visitation is ane hour prior to services Tuesday.
Preferred memorials are to Filling Memorial Home, Mercy or the Northwest Ohio Easter Seals Society.

Frank Proxmire
OAKWOOD - Frank L. Proxmire, 48, Oakwood, died at 4:07 p.m. Friday at Paulding County Hospital, Paulding.
He was born Sept. 16, 1951, in Defiance, the son of Gaylord and Florence (Coffman) Proxmire Sr. In 1970, he married Connie Finnegan, who survives. He worked at GM Powertrain, Defiance, and was a member of UAW 211.
Also surviving are his parents, Defiance; two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Heather) Shull of Paulding and Tammy Dotson, Oakwood; four brothers, Gaylord Jr. of Defiance, Rodger and Jeff, both of Paulding, and Steve, Denver, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cornerstone United Methodist Church with Revs. James Wright and Robert Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood.
Preferred memorials are to the family.

Eugenia Jackson
MONTPELIER - Eugenia M. Jackson, 81, Montpelier, died Friday morning at Dilworth Center, Montpelier after an extended illness.
She was born May 21, 1919, in Williams County, the daughter of Bloom and Nora (Dietrich) Tressler. In 1940, she married Clyde Jackson, who survives. She is a 1939 graduate of Fort Wayne Business College and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Bryan.
Also surviving are two sons, Duane of Bryan and Richard, Carthage, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Craig (Pat) French, Norwalk; and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan, with Rev. Christopher Hintz officiating. Burial will be in Farmer Cemetery, Farmer. Visitation is from 7-9 p.m. today.
Preferred memorials are to the church, Williams County Home Health or charity of the donor's choice.

Lawrence Seigneur
STRYKER - Lawrence (Bunny) A. Seigneur, 82, Stryker, died Saturday morning at Harborside Healthcare Center, Bryan, after an extended illness.
He was born May 2, 1918, in Stryker, the son of Emile and Ellen (Renaud) Seigneur. In 1945, he married Marjorie Smith, who survives. He attended Defiance College and Bowling Green State University. He was a supervisor at Bil-Jax, Archbold, for 35 years. He was a deacon and had been a trustee at First Baptist Church, Stryker, and was active in Stryker Gala and the senior dining center.
Also surviving are a son, Dean, Northfield; a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Renee) Davis, Westlake; a brother, Louis, Stryker; a sister, Lucille May, Royal Oak, Mich.; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Revs. Daniel Douglass and Eddie Jones. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Stryker. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Grisier Funeral Home, Stryker.
Preferred memorials are to the church's building fund.
