AUSTIN MACALUSO
AUSTIN MACALUSO, 93, of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, Ohio, formerly of Granbury, Texas and Daytona Beach, Florida, died Friday, April 4, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry.
He was born in Salineville, Ohio on Sunday, January 2, 1910, the son of the late Samuel and Santa (Albo) Macaluso.
He was a retired mechanic at Marble Chair Co, Bedford, Ohio and a Catholic by faith.
Austin is survived by one son, Jerry Macaluso and a special friend Debra Davis, both of Martins Ferry.
At the families request, there will be no visitation and services and interment in Belmont Co. Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, Ohio was held at the convenience of the family.

WILLIAM H. (DUKE) PYLE
WILLIAM H. (DUKE) PYLE, 80, formerly of Cemetery Road, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at Heartland of Lansing Care Center, Lansing, Ohio.
He was born in Martins Ferry on Wednesday, February 14, 1923 a son of the late James R. and Ethel Mae (Bennett) Pyle.
He was a retired employee for the city of Martins Ferry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Pyle and two sisters, Alice Smith and June Miller.
He is survived by one sister Dorothy Litman and her husband Melvin of Bridgeport, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Thursday April 17, 2003 at 11 A.M. with Rod Kasler officiating.
Interment followed in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.

OLIVE L. COVINGTON
OLIVE L. COVINGTON, 76, of Washington Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
She was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, on Thursday, September 9, 1926, the daughter of the late Andrew and Viola (Summerhill) Hill.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Olean Covington and second husband, Alfred Ernes and one brother Wray Hill.
She is survived by one son, Phillip R. Covington and his wife, Bonnie; daughter-in-law, Christine Covington all of Martins Ferry; one granddaughter, Jennifer Shunk and her husband, David of Belmont, Ohio; one grandson, Daniel Covington and his wife, Heather of Grove City, Ohio; one brother, James Hill and his wife, Joan of Washington, Pa. and two great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation and services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

PAUL SICULAN
PAUL SICULAN, 87, of Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio died Sunday, April 20, 2003 at his residence.
He was born in Martins Ferry, on Tuesday, July 6, 1915 a son of the late George and Catherine (Peprila) Siculan.
Paul was a retired assistant manager for the former G. C. Murphy Co. of Wheeling where he worker for 38 years.
He was a lifetime member of Grace Presbyterian Church of Martins Ferry where he formerly served as a deacon, elder and trustee.
He was also a member of Eagles #456, Ohio City Lodge #486 both of Martins Ferry and Scottish Rite of Steubenville, Ohio.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Harry and Nick Siculan.
He is survived by his wife Lillian (Drewett) Siculan, step-son, Thomas A. Parrill and his wife, Kathie of Martins Ferry; step-daughter, Martha D. Bales and her husband, John of St. Clairsville, Ohio; brother, Daniel Siculan and his wife, Thelma of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Hortensia (Tensie) Mace, Columbus, Ind.; several nieces and nephews and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Thursday, April 24, 2003 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr. officiating.
Interment followed in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.

CHARLES E. HEATH
CHARLES E. HEATH, 63, of Hartman Manor, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
He was born in Martins Ferry on Monday, October 2, 1939, a son of the late Colonel and Marie (Hails) Heath.
He was a retired machinist for Warwood Tool, Warwood, W. Va.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Clint Heath.
Surviving are two sons, Charles E. Heath, Jr. and his wife Terri and Bryan A. Heath all of Wheeling; one daughter, Kelly S. Marshall and her husband Mitchell of Lansing, Oh.; two brothers, Norman G. Heath, Warwood, W. Va. and Walter Heath, Mingo Jct., Oh.; one sister, Gloria Ledger of Virginia and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the funeral home Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 11 A.M. with Rev. William O. Webster, Jr., officiating.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

FRANCES C. (HODOR) GROZA
FRANCES C. (HODOR) GROZA, 83, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Thursday, May 18, 2003 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W. Va.
She was born in Martins Ferry on Thursday, October 9, 1919, a daughter of the late John G. and Mary K. (Pastor) Hodor.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Groza; a daughter, Stephanie Ann Groza; a brother, Paul Hodor; and a sister, Mary Vetanze.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Frances Groza Schuetz of Cincinnati, Ohio; a son, Frank J. Groza of Bysville, Ohio; brother, William D. Hodor of Madeira Beach, Florida; brother, Charles E. husband of Elsie Hodor, of Martins Ferry; sister, Isabel, wife of Enrico Berardi, of Moon Township, Pa.; sister, Dorothy L., wife of Joseph DeFede, of Martins Ferry; sister, Nancy L., wife of Carl Smith of Boadman Township, Ohio; grandson, Dr. Bryan, husband of Tanya Schuetz, of Wortington, Ohio; granddaughter, Beth Marie, wife of Ike Moore, of Delaware, Ohio; granddaughters, Jenny and Stacy Groza; grandson, Adam Groza, all of Cambridge, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren, Robert, Rachel and Reece Schuetz and Cullen and Baylen Moore.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 4-8 p.m. Sunday and where Rosary devotions will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral liturgy with Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2003 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Father Richard Battocletti as celebrant.
Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry.

JOHN C. POLLOCK
JOHN C. POLLOCK, 86, of Colerain and formerly of Tiltonsville, Ohio died Sunday, May 18, 2003, at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheeling, W. Va.
He was born in Lafferty, Ohio on Thursday, September 28, 1916, the son of the late John S. and Tacy (Gaston) Pollock.
He was a retired manager at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville, Ohio and a Presbyterian.
John and Rose just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary May 15th.
He is survived by his wife, Rose P. (Pempek) Pollock, three sons, John S. Pollock, Scottsdale, Arizona; Ronald K. Pollock and his wife Pam, St. Clairsville, Ohio; Robert J. Pollock and his wife Connie, Martins Ferry, Ohio; seven daughters, Rosalie J. Dlesk and her husband Dick, Wheeling, W. Va.; Louise A. Strauss and her husband Carl, Martins Ferry, Ohio; Sandra L. Brothers and her husband Dave, Bridgeport, Ohio; Karen K. Moore and her husband Chuck, Worthington, Ohio; Patty R. Krol and her husband Lou, Yorkville, Ohio; Marsha S. Zupko and her husband Jim, Colerain, Ohio; Janice L. Pollock, Bridgeport, Ohio, one sister, Louise Saffel Stuckey, Dover, Ohio and 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held Wednesday, May 21, 2003, with Rev. John Brown officiating.
Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, W. Va.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 612 Maple Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701

CLINTON R. ALDERMAN
CLINTON R. ALDERMAN, 67, of Columbus Ave., Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Thursday, June 5, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.
He was born in Spencer, W. Va. on September 28, 1935, the son of the late Delbert B. and Loraine (Reynolds) Alderman.
Services and interment were held at the convenience of the family.
