Jack G. Kemo, Jr.
Jack G. Kemo Jr. 77, of Yorkville, Ohio died Saturday Feb. 28, 2004 in the emergency room of East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Jack was born Dec. 14, 1926 in Martins Ferry, Ohio; son of the late Jack G. and Anna Baldo Kemo Sr.
Jack was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Martins Ferry plant, working as a die maker; also a retired land purchaser for Schiappa Coal Co., and was presently serving as chairman of the Yorkville Village Water board. Jack is a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Tiltonsville. Jack served his country in the U. S. Army.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by; his wife, Kathryn Hagan Kemo, who passed away in 2001, one sister; Emily Seamon and one brother, Louis Kemo.
Surviving are his son, Monsignor Kurt H. Kemo of Toronto, Ohio and two sisters; Norma Totterdale and Madelyn (William) Holbrook, all of Martins Ferry.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. in Toronto, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church on N. River Ave. Vigil services will be held at the church at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning in Toronto, at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church on Findley St., from 9 a.m., until time of the Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11 a.m. with Monsignor Kurt H. Kemo as the celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
The funeral arrangements for Jack are under the co-directions of the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc. and Clarke Funeral Home, both of Toronto, Ohio.

Margaret McCroba
Margaret Neff McCroba, 100, of North Lima, Ohio, formerly of Shadyside, Ohio, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at the Assumption Village in North Lima, Ohio.
She was born Feb. 4, 1904 in Neffs, Ohio, a daughter of the late Meades and Flossie Morton Neff.
Margaret was a retired school teacher with the Bellaire and Shadyside Public School Districts.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Shadyside, the Ohio State Retired Teachers Association and the Belmont County Retired Teachers Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McCroba in 1965 and her brother, Charles Neff in 1971.
Surviving are her son, David McCroba of Berlin Center, Ohio, three grandchildren, Michael McCroba of Portland, Oregon, Jo Lee LaCroix and her husband, Steven of Loxahatchee, Florida and Jean Ann Ellis and her husband Kevin of Vero Beach, Florida; also four great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, 4200 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio with the Rev. Alice L. Phillips, officiating.
Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery at Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 4200 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio 43947.

Mary Ostroske
Mary Ostroske, 85, of Sinclair Avenue, Yorkville, Ohio, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at the home of her daughter, Evelyn Faldowski in Rayland, Ohio.
She was born Sept. 16, 1918 at Glen Robbins, Ohio, daughter of the late Andrew and Eva Kulenick Dragan.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiltonsville; St. Francis of Assissi, Catholic Daughters of America, Catholic Women's Club, Eucharistic Minister, visited the shut-ins and gave them communion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ostroske, Jr. (March 6, 2004).
Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn Faldowski and her husband, John of Rayland, Ohio and Barbara Schlatt and her husband, Ernie, Proctorville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation on Tuesday, 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiltonsville with Monsignor George Coyne officiating.
Burial follows at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
Wake services, Tuesday evening, 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, Ohio or Valley Hospice, 98 B E. Cove Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003.

Lillian McCulley
Lillian A. McCulley, 73, of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at the East Ohio Regional Hospital at Martins Ferry, Ohio.
She was born June 7, 1930 in Corinth, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Albert and Edna Cole Kisner.
Lillian was a retired housemother for the Belmont County Mental Retardation Home at Fairpoint, Ohio.
She was a Methodist by faith and an active member of the Martins Ferry Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by one sister, Iona Brown.
Surviving are one son, Ernest Berardi and his companion, Brenda Zoladz of Lansing, Ohio, one daughter, Linda Guevara and her husband, Fred of Atlantic City, New Jersey; one sister, Edneta Williams of West Liberty, West Virginia and one grandson, Eric Berardi of Bellaire, Ohio.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. James A. Hoff officiating. Interment in the Powhatan Cemetery at Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Martins Ferry Senior Center, 14 N. 5th Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.

Randy Ray
Randy Ray, 58, Beallsville, Ohio, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004 at his home.
He was born Dec. 11, 1945, in Zanesville, a son of Robert "Gene" and Christine Roberts Ray.
He was a retired employee of Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, a US Army veteran, member of American Legion Post #768, Beallsville, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Loyal Order of Moose, of Woodsfield.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Ray.
Surviving in addition to his parents, Gene and Chris, of Malaga, are his wife, Janice Caldwell Ray; three daughters, Misty (Marvin) Secrest, Tara (Terry) Jarrett, and Traci (Rick) Jarrett, all of Beallsville; a brother, Rodney (Pat) Ray of Beallsville; two sisters, Trudy (Roger) Lucas of Middletown, Maryland and Kristy (Rick) Kinzy of Malaga; five grandchildren, Stacia, Dalton, Tori, Teryn, and Spencer; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Randy was a loyal fan and supporter of Beallsville athletics, having worked on the chain crew and also as official baseball timekeeper for over 35 years.
Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post 768.
Memorial contribtuions may be made to the Beallsville Athletic Department, P O Box 262, Beallsville, Ohio 43716.

Dianna Kellaway
Dianna L. Kellaway, 48, of Cadiz, died Monday, March 1, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center, West, Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born Jan. 22, 1956, a daughter of the late Arthur Wayne Barcus and Shirley Decker Kellaway.
She attended the Cadiz Church of the Nazarene, and was a member of the Cadiz Jaycees.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Vernon Kellaway and by an aunt, Edith Decker.
Surviving are two daughters, Melissa Risdon and her husband, Dennis of Jewett and Tonya Mitchell and her husband, DeWayne of Cadiz; six grandchildren, Nick and Alysia Risdon, Rashaen, Kalub, Brandon, and Kobe Mitchell; a brother, Rick Barcus of Cadiz; and her boyfriend, Jeff Dowdle, with whom she resided.
Friends may call Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Hamilton officiating.
Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery.

Florence Carothers
Florence Virginia Carothers, 89, of Cadiz, formerly of Kenwood, died Monday, March 1, 2004 at her home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1915 in Cadiz, a daughter of the late Charles W. And Bertha Beanie Mansfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Carothers; two infant children; three brothers, Charles (Bud), Burrell, and John Mansfield; and one sister, Hazel Kelley.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including locally, LeRoy Best, Charles Mansfield, Linda Ledger, Lloyd, Walter, Ernie, and Jack Mansfield, all of Cadiz, Mark Mansfield, with whom she resided, Mike Mansfield of North Carolina and Connie Rutledge of Hamilton, Ohio.
Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio, where funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Bullard officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery near Hopedale.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 380 Summit Ave., Steubenville, Ohio 43952.
